: Moving League to an SSD
Hi Call Me Śhadow, The easiest way of doing things I would recommend is: - Install the base LoL client to the location that you want it with [This Installer](https://signup.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/signup/redownload) - When installed, Rename the "League of Legends" folder to "League of legends.old" - Copy your HDD copy of "League of Legends" in it's place - Done! Now you can run LeagueClient.exe or lol.launcher.exe from that folder to start LoL up. The reason for installing it first is to get any dependencies etc. installed, but LoL is pretty much self contained in that one folder and can run from anywhere, so long as the dependencies are installed first :-)

Gmail was beta for 5 years :3 Also we were alpha up until around 4 months ago, so not quite. However the client will stay in beta for as long as is required - that could be another week, another month, another year (although this is unlikely) - the team don't want to release an unfinished product for the sake of "not being beta for a year now"

Hi SourMood, If you haven't already, please try running a repair on your client to see if this resolves the issue (The new client, not the old one). This is done by logging in, clicking the "settings" button (cog icon, top right), then clicking "Initiate full repair". I advise testing in a custom game to avoid further penalties once you've done the repair :-)

Unfortunately not - the teams get literally millions of bug reports globally, so responding to them all in any way would take quite an amount of time. Generally when they see regular reports of a similar issue, or they can easily reproduce it (Repro steps are so key!) - they will put it on the internal backlog for investigation and fixing.

: i just tried it again ,it has a lot of annoying things , friends list always open , the profile tab was easier to use but now we got collections as well (still wondering why summs & masteries are there and no skins) , cant see my champion statistics when I see my league , I don't know why the club has a specific menu for it even though it was easier to use and there was no need to change tabs to see it , adjusting mastery pages are much harder now ,literally ... I don't know how many used pages i have now ,and everytime i want to adjust one i will have to scroll to find it rather than just remembering the number , i didn't know what the 3 buttons (the "+" and the " garbage bin" where simple to know but still wasn't sure until i checked the tooltip) in the mastery screen do until i saw the tooltip .... rune pages are harder to adjust aswell , ~~can no longer see the blocked players (i used to check it every few month because it had funny names) ~~, the store is the same and the " play " menu looks better , the settings are bugged (changed resolution to 1600 x 900 then back to 1280 x720 but it no longer takes effect) , and i think it will work again once i restart . i will keep using the client for few days to see how it goes . I also think a garbage bin is fairly self explanatory and fairly common usage in software for deletion/removal of something. Not sure what happened here, I'm able to adjust my resolution repeatedly without issue...might be worth submitting a bug report on that one. Overall I think a majority of complaints come down to "not liking change", but change is a way of things unfortunately. Hopefully once you've had a bit of time to use it you'll get used to the changes and it won't be so daunting to use. A big issue obviously is stability - if things are lagging, crashing, etc. - then that's much more of an issue, and this is why a lot of focus is on stability and low spec improvements.

As Perilum mentioned, "patching it" still requires development effort. It's not only about new features, but maintenance and changes to existing features. For example, if we change masteries or runes in the new client, and leave the old client with the "old" settings - that's going to cause serious misbalance in the game. Everything in the old client has to be "patched into" it - champions, skins, icons, number changes - none of that is dynamic.

The old client is pretty much bursting at the seams - it's bloated, difficult to maintain and improve upon, and every new feature we added to it was a nightmare to do due to the old architecture and tech debt. The new client makes things much easier to work with and improve, and is much more flexible. As such, the old client will not be supported once we're ready to switch fully to the new client. Rather than asking "Can we keep the old client", I'd advise giving feedback on your issues with the new one. For example, you mention it being slow and laggy - a lot of improvements have been made each and every patch to the "low spec" mode. Have you tried since 7.4 came out?

Pretty much! In even more awesome terms, we're "building our own internet" in a way - which is cool. Some people are interested in the technical aspects behind it, and this is definitely more geared towards those with that mindframe :-) For people wanting a tl;dr: We've got more access points for players to get on Riot Direct quicker, taking more of the "externals" hops to our servers out of the process :-)

These are the peak times that we feel the queue can operate well in. We will TURN THE QUEUE OFF at night, from 00:00 to 11:59. This means you won't see the queue in your client until the next day. It's currently 10:27 CET - so expect it to be enabled in approx 1.5 hours, for 12 hours. This will be a daily occurrence.

Apologies I meant your first external hop - I can't actually see your router. This looks like the hop from your home to your ISP. Interesting enough, I took a look again today and your ping seems to have dropped considerably for the last few games which were fairly late. It may be that your ISP is experiencing congestion at your local exchange. I'd advise running some pings and traces to common websites beyond League of Legends at different times of the day (IE: Early morning, late afternoon, evening) - and see how your ping varies. If you find it's getting higher during "busy" hours (IE: normally around 6pm - midnight) - it's worth contacting your ISP to see if they can assist. When living in the UK I experienced similar issues and it was due to my ISP oversubscribing certain routers - they often had to send an engineer and manually repatch me to a less busy switch. It may be something similar in this case! :-)

Hi Djvenom173, As others have stated, you need to be premade with the players who get an S rank. If you queue up randomly and a player you were not premade with gets an S - you will not get a chest. Also, as mentioned you can only earn one chest per champion per season. This means, if you continually play the same champion - you will only get one chest. However, if you were to play another champion and someone you are premade with gets an S- or higher - you will get the chest for the champion **you were playing**. Some scenarios for you: Your champ: Sion (Chest Earned) Your Premade Champ: Kayle (Chest Earned) No matter who gets an S- or higher here, they won't get a chest. Your champ: Sion (Chest Earned) Your Premade Champ: Amumu (No chest earned) Your friend gets an S- or higher - they get a chest, you do not (as you've already earned one on Sion this season) Your champ: Tryndamere (No chest earned) Your Premade Champ: Kayle (Chest Earned) If either of you get an S- or higher in this scenario - you will earn a chest, and they will not. This is because the champ you are playing, you have not earned a chest with yet - however your friend has already earned their chest on Kayle, so no chest for them.

These have gotten worse lately, while a few weeks ago (Roughly around the 2nd weekend IP boost, couldn't tell for sure) it seemed to run much better. (tl;dr: how much will performance improve? What's the status on optimisation with the new client?)

This is pretty much the sort of thing we're holding off on - the client as it is is mostly ready from my understanding, but we're not going to push it out until we're happy with the level of performance across as many configurations as possible. The client has come a long way from early Alpha thanks to the testing and feedback of players - and hopefully we haven't long to go! But issues like yours are the sort of thing the teams are looking to eliminate before we say "release time!"

Hi Philosöpher, Quite simply the new client allows us to do a lot more than the old client did. The amount of work involved in getting newer features working on the old client is either much higher - or it's simply not possible on the old client. The new client was designed with flexibility in mind from the ground up, and new features are being designed with it in mind. As for forcing people to the new client - the teams are still ironing out some kinks in it. Once it's fully ready, we will begin deprecating the old client and, as you worded it, "force it on everyone" :-)

Hey JoefreySlayer, I don't have much info to go off of from this post, however looking at some of our diagnostics, it looks like your first hop (from you to your ISP) is quite high (39+ms). This should normally be much lower. From there, (Hop 1 to our servers) goes from 39ms to 54. Personal thoughts: that first hop is your problem. You can try traces to other services etc - as mentioned I have limited visibility on this without much info from you, but based on this I'd think it's from your home to ISP causing the biggest issue for you.

As for the DB Cluster changes, these are backend changes and nothing that will affect your gameplay or decrease ping etc. It's backend changes to how our DB's are set up for better resiliency with less downtime should issues occur :-)

There were multiple under the original post on Reddit - as stated by RiotGradius this looks like standard bruteforce and password recycling from other sites, rather than any compromise we can find. It certainly doesn't hurt to change your password every so often none the less, and to ensure it's unique (only used for LoL) - however from the information RiotGradius has found so far, this isn't a leak or "hack" but just bad password practices unfortunately.

The only place I know of this ever being enabled is in the Nvidia Control Panel, as shown here: https://i.imgur.com/tIBUjEg.png If it is showing as disabled, it may be worth enabling it, then disabling it, as the option has been known to get "stuck" before.

This has already been commented on by our security team on the thread, but to reiterate what Coxis said - changing passwords every so often is definitely a recommended practice. It seems these accounts have been compromised through bruteforce or social engineering - essentially: - Players using weak usernames and passwords - Recycling passwords, usernames and emails from other websites that have been breached - Entering details in scam websites such as "Free RP sites" As mentioned, never hurts to rotate your password every so often to ensure that, even if it was previously used on another site, it's of no use now - and using unique passwords ensures better account protection. Our security team will be working to identify and reset these accounts, but there's no sign of any compromises from our end from what they've been able to determine.
