Hey there everybody! For those of you that don’t know me, I’m Riot Bolton, and I had the pleasure of working on [League Fest](http://euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/community/community-events/league-fest-last-chance-tickets) last year in partnership with the awesome guys over at [Multiplay](https://multiplay.com/) and [Insomnia Gaming Festival](https://insomniagamingfestival.com/insomnia/home/).
I wanted to take some time to give everyone a short update on the status of League Fest, some insights into our decision, and what the future might hold.
Last year’s League Fest saw some of the biggest names in LoL coming to the UK, an epic Pro-Am, amazing cosplays in the competition and masquerade, and much more. However, what you didn’t get to see was all the hard work from team’s at Riot and Multiplay that made all this possible. This event took months of planning, deliberation, and execution.
As you may know, Riot is opening a new [London Office](http://www.riotgames.com/articles/20170403/2395/riot-london) to get even closer to our players, but that transition comes with a lot of movement and requires teams to be agile and ready for change. After careful consideration we feel that we would not be able to build the team and invest enough time to deliver the quality level that players expect and deserve when they think of League Fest. As such, we have made the difficult decision not to host League Fest in 2017.
So some of you may be asking, “But what about in the future?” Unfortunately at this time we just don’t know. We had an amazing time at League Fest last year, but our focus must first be on building a world class team in London and creating long lasting and meaningful experiences for all players in the UK.
