Thoughts on burst damage and mages

Since the recent patches focused on reducing the burst damage in damage, I think it is time to take a look at mages. We made it that AD carries don't one-shot squishes that hard anymore. We made that assassins don't one-shot squishes that hard anymore. So why do mages still walk around and one-shot everyone with two items? If we agree on nerfing burst damage, we should also take some power away from mages. Adjusting the mage items like the items for AD carries would be best approach. The give way too much ap for the amount of gold they cost. Looking at late game mages should not have access to that much ap. So please reduce the ap Ludens and especially Death Cap give you.
