AMD FX users and others experiencing issues loading into game or unplayable FPS

So it seems this is a current issue for many people, including myself, wanting to play league. I am using the AMD FX-6100 processor and I'm being told I need to update/flash my BIOS to just play the game. I have tried to search for updates to this model and there seem to be none as far as I'm able to see. So is league unplayable for us now? Whats gonna happen to the money I've invested into this game lmao Hope there's a viable solution soon...
