Unable to login and got kicked out of a game, with attempting to reconnect

I was in a game, about to end and destroy nexus when suddenly "attempting to reconnect" shows up on my screen, my connection is fine, so i thought let me try relog, biggest mistake ever, get stuck in login screen with the "authenticating" for over 20 minutes now...... riot ???
