Support Advice.

I'm getting back into gaming after some life shit has happened, and I have always wanted to play league properly, and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to play support. It's just my preferred role, and I have 2'000+ hours in Smite so I'm not new to moba's by any means, it's just that there is a lot to league and I'm kind of overwhelmed, and I have negative money atm so while I have the time to invest, I do not have the money.
