Can i get placed in silver? And how? Any advice please?

Hey guys! I was wondering about this for a time. I got silver 2 in preseason(flex) 2 days before the start of season 8. I played 2 flex games. Both lost. I am a {{champion:157}} main but if he gets banned i usually play {{champion:57}} - I play toplane and im trying to focus on farming,warding,watching the map reacting to it pinging etc. But this 2 loses really stole my motivation. Some tell that if i lose my first game i wont be placed in silver. Lets say i win 5. Can i get silver? Or if i win 4? Also how could i improve? I cant carry. Im not that good
