This is the difference between a more strategic game and a ... fighting game? I guess?
I mean, with shields lasting for a couple of seconds, this is a strategic decision whether or not to use them... since preemptive usage makes sense.
But, with such hard duration nerfs... Aren't shields more akin to... blocks in fighting games? I mean, doesn't their use degenerate to... You see an enemy attacking, so you press the appropriate block button, if your reflexes are hight enough then good, or if not, then well, your HP drops considerably?
But, if shields degenerate into blocks from fighting games... shouldn't their cooldowns be noticeably decreased, as well?
