Volunteers are recruiting!

UPDATE - The applications for both Wrenchmen and Emissaries will close on 21st April 2016, at 20:00 Central European Time.

UPDATE - 26/04 - E-mails have been sent out to everyone who applied for the Wrenchmen program.

What are the Volunteers?

Volunteers are Community members who are extremely motivated and unselfishly try to help anywhere they can as well as adding as much value to the Community as possible. They are not Riot Games employees, but Riot Games recognize them as extremely dedicated members of the community, and their experience and passion is taken seriously, and appreciated by Riot Games.

We mainly do this on the Boards, but we also help around in Battlegrounds, live-events, social media and more. Currently there are 2 Volunteer programs in the European English region we are recruiting for:

Wrenchman Wrenchmen - Mainly active in "Help & Support", helping players to get back on the Rift and answering any question they know the answer to. Even though this is what they mainly do, it's not the only thing they do, they also help with other stuff on and off the Boards!

Emissary Emissaries - Mainly active in ... well actually everywhere. They give general advice, help players with Player Behavior queries, help set up community events and contests and much more!

Altough not every Volunteer is a moderator, inside of the Volunteer program we also have a moderation team. Volunteers in this team help with keeping the Boards nice and clean.

What are the requirements?

Even though we are Volunteers and not employees, we ask our Volunteers to fulfill the following criteria:

  • Have a good understanding of the English language
  • Have a friendly and cooperative attitude
  • Have time to spend on the Volunteer program on a regular basis
  • Be highly motivated!

Any specific stuff you're searching for?

Actually, yes, we have a few preferences depending on what we are in need of for current or future projects. Below is a list of what kind of people we are looking for at this moment but keep in mind that this list can change at any time.

  • Technical wizards spreading their knowledge across the Boards
  • Coders/developers
  • Graphical Artists
  • Writers
  • Content Creators

On top of this list we would like to emphasize that we're also accepting open applications. If you feel you have a particular skill or interest that would add value to our program, don't be afraid to apply!

What happens after I applied?

We'll go trough all the applications one by one and we'll contact those we wish to start the recruitment process with. The way we do this will be via the E-mail address you provided us with in the application form or via the E-mail address linked to your account.

If you don't receive an E-mail from us, don't worry! Every application that fulfills the requirements will be saved, whenever we are in need of new Volunteers, we'll re-review your application and this time you might actually make it ;)

How do I apply?

Applying is simple, just press one of the buttons below, fill in the form and ... you're done!
But remember: be honest about everything you say!

With all of that being said, to anyone who applies, Good Luck!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them below :)
