Mathematic problem. (I need help figuring this out)

I don't get it. Within physic class, I was learned that Negative and Positive atoms are perfect match. While Negative + Negative atoms causes unstable behavior, and Positive + Positive atoms nothing ever happens. So why is my Positive behavior during ranked not a perfect match with my Negative ADC, who I am meant to protect. We are meant to be a perfect match!
