: I agree with Archonios about chat field, it is terrible. And that notifications, about messages from friends or notifications about game waiting queue or invitation - barely visible. Chat room is tooooooooooooooooooo big. Performance is so low. I know that designer team is working on super fast PC's but some gamers do not have as fast equipment to handle with this client. So keep that in mind.
I'm playing from my toaster pc from 6 ago and it felt really clunky. Performance will be fixed, they have good technicians when it comes to performance. My problem is that they put looks above faction for years now and has dealt hurt lol. 6years I was playing lol, left cause of scripters and this new client doesn't even invite me back

: League player calling League too complex and Dota 2 simpler. You almost certainly have limited-to-no MOBA experience outside of LoL. As for the changes, game must evolve in order to stay strong. Would LoL or DotA even exist if people stuck to the good old AoS concept without changing anything? Good ol' three lanes and no levels, simplicity at its finest.
I am playing Mobas for 10 years now and i started with dota v6.24. 6 years have passed since i played lol and i have every champion, 20 rune pages and 55000 useless ip and if i ask myself TODAY if i would have started league from 0 the answer would be 100% no. Added things; Everything is non-stop AoE, Dragons, 2 barons, MORE camps objectives, even more champions, even more minigames a champion brings into map, more things to learn about champions, e-sport pop ups (which i couldn't give a damn), hextech crafting thing and champion masteries. It even has the stupid facebook invites. God it feels like it being lobotomized for absolutely no reason. I can see why Wow players want vanilla servers and how bad Ghostcrawler was with his decisions to change everything after each expansion AND add things into the game. After Juggernaut everything has just creeped out for me. Took 5 months break to calm down because beta-preseason and now it's just worse. From mmr to the simplest champion is just feels wrong. League at this point needs an overhaul to survive.

: Dota is not a simpler game at all. Dota is complex in its own ways, and playing heroes like Invoker and Meepo will make you rethink having ever called League complex. Anyways, complexity=fun. If you want to play simple games go play Angry Birds.
Look honey but when is something _too_ complex? How do you fight meepo? Just kill 1 of them and they are dead. How do kill invoker? you just go in and kill him. Syndra design is closer to dota's. Why? because she is difficult to manage her. She has a burst (utl) and it takes time to set up. Does she has anything else to do after her ult? not much, just like Invoker. Now take Malz. How do you kill malz? You go in with assassin and kill him; only you cant burst him cause of his passive. You just try to poke him! nope he has a flash and a team to set up the kills for him. Ok, you try to out dps him; No he has pets that deal even more damage than you will ever have. If i wanted to play Angry birds i would have done it 4 years ago.

: If you think League is more difficult than DOTA2 then i advise you to not even start playing DOTA.
> I am confident right now dota2 is much _**simpler **_ game.

: I see your point, but in the meantime I love the game as it is now. I'm not a player since Season 1, because back in the day I hated Mobas (and that changed over time), but since Season 2. And I agree while the game was simpler back in the day, it evolved. Better audios, better artworks, performance, server stability etc. It just evolved. Keep in mind that the Season 3 still remains the biggest Season which broke all records. It surpassed real TV channels, broke the record for the biggest even live (surpassed NBA, Football viewers records and so on). Everything went skyrocket after Season 3. Everything ! E-Sports, Riot has made even more competitions for best players to be able to get into Pro Scene (with Challanger Series). I mean, come on, this is such a mind-blowing thing ! I understand that nostalgia kicks in frequently. It happens to me too. I want to experience for the last time, just once, jungle item from Season 3 : _**Spirit of the Elder Lizard**_ !!! Good thing I have a lot of screenshots taken since I was level 12 ^_^" ! With this being said : Just enjoy the evolution of gaming industry as a whole. With its ups and downs ! Recently I've watched the very first League competitions. Man, if you could put the old map with old bushes right now, pfffff, imagine the consequences ! Everything will be on FIRE ! ^_^ Hahahaha ! Alright man, enjoy the game and play with pleasure ! ^_^
It got 100% better for sure. That's not what i am complaining about. At the moment riot is trying to put as many possible things as it can inside SR either through champs or map objectives. The amount they put into the map since season 1 (especially after new SR map) it's massive. And for some reasons some champions put even more things to do. Skarner got capture points for a reason... yeah "dominion"...At this point they are no better than Blizz. Remeber the simple design Zyra had? nope; let's put 3 more plants somewhere in there by constanly pestering with nonstop seeds, spells cover even larger areas, nonstop shooting plants. Remember how simple was Fiora? oh no you dont want simple stuff. Let's crank up everything;mobility, true damage AND aoe healing... Even poppy got the complex treatment. Anti-manouver-aoe-movement tank thing, aoe damage on her Q (yeah never had that) and teambattle champion remover.

: WTF is going on with league?
Everything is becoming ultra complex...

: I read through all of it. Weird rite? But it was interesting and would be rather disrespectful of me to comment, get a response and ignore it. Anyway, I'm in no position to attribute value to certain game-design choices in historical context. How it was earlier vs how it is now. Frankly, I started to play LoL and moba in general with it at the end of september this year. But I do somewhat understand your point in general sense. Because it's not the only game I played. And I don't really see a lot of things what you're saying as a problem really. For example where you mention rushing objectives, well who can control it and amass power to take it wins, how else it should be? Or Fiora example, I wouldn't bet that her passive is really a mechanic targeted at Fiora players. I would argue that it's targeted towards ones who are attempting to counter it more making it positioning game. While I can also find something to agree. I don't like where people in order to play must have god-like reaction. Because it really favors muscle-memory gameplay and diminishes tactical aspect by not leaving any time window for it in micro management. Anyway, thanks was an interesting point of view to get my head around.
You are looking this wrong. It's not just 1 thing. What's Blizzard's pattern in their latest games? Fast and Accessible. Look at their over balance decisions in D3. In order to keep players engaged build choices are thrown out the window and with each and every season they increase the damage player gets to keep the illusion of progress. Does player really progresses? All these high paying devs and they copy poe now... Look at content of Hearthstone. They just put out new cards just to keep the players engaged. They had nice established rules and they tossed them all because of profitability and progress. If something ain't broken should you fix it? All these devs and they made it into MTG clone at this point. Look at Starcraft 2. They put content for more diversity right? Nope. They just went full micro and now it's the opposite of strategy game. It's about who has the fastest fingers. Is micro-ing really any better? All these devs and they copy mobas way of control for every unit each player makes. Look at WoW (wotlk expansion). They gave purple quality gear for almost no effort. Is making the game more accessible any better? They made the mistake then, now it's much too late. If something isn't broken don't fix it. They just keep going faster and faster and they kill any interest in their games. Did players have any saying? What made "Dishonored" so good? It was Arcane's decision to give the player the right amount of freedom inside a confined space enough for the player to set his own rules and speed. Would the 2nd one be as good as the 1st? Because of the open world i doubt it will come close unless they pull a half-life(=unicorn). It's the player that makes the game matter not the art nor the setting (they are just extras). If riot want's a game that will stand the test of time is to copy EVE where they gave the player the tools to create their own experiences not other random hit games. So how can riot balance league? They cannot. Simple as that. The top 0.1% will remain at the top no matter what and they will abuse whatever they can and when "everything is balanced" then there will be nothing interesting to play. So what is "balance"? It's player's choices and what stops them. And to address the Fiora's passive and why is it so bad (and other designs(poppy, Illaoi, bard, etc)); The enemy cannot abuse their choices or capitalize on enemies' mistakes and to make matter worst players of said champions have little to no control of their actions (chimes, tentacles) and the game tells them how to play. Does player has any choice on how slow or fast he could play? Does individual players and employees have any saying? I should remind you that mobas were not developed inside a RnD lab. All I want is a fun game. Not a balance one. It's [cultural](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6TmTv6deTI) problem and i doubt Riot will change now. Riot could make changes but they choose only [one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvwlt4FqmS0). (he tells it better.)

: By tempo you how the game develops or fights? Was assassin meta a slow one? But whatever, I might not take everything you say for granted, I don't. But for the sake of arguments, okey lets say you're right. One of the reasons why such change might be initiated is that because it's more fun. There is no fun to lane vs Soraka, who just heals and causes frustration, because your actions seem meaningless. It's no fun to lane againt Tahm, because effectively the guy has 2x hp in lane. Slow paced games or encounters where you do 564651231 actions which all are near to meaningless not fun. It's better to be allowed to do 2-4 actions which decide the battle fun-wise. So I don't see the problem you're describing, but even if I saw it, I would say it's fine.
It's not about not having 2 health bars, these are just numbers and are adjustable. It's not about about a single champion shuting down the flow of teamfight like Azir/Veigar were they completely stop fight from progressing and stopping the entire enemy team while they simply press a button. This problem was created by assassins but having big bursts isn't the core problem. > There is no fun to lane vs Soraka I know it exactly and they took the worst of her and crank it up to 11 pretending it wasn't a problem for years. She shut down every possible of action except burst so the only course of action is to have lighting fingers. Soraka is first of her kind. Slow paced games aren't the problem either. In fact i love both fast and slow. The problem is that they only see very fast paced esport games where players have >200ms reaction times and they create/balance champions based on that number. But when bronze players such champion it doesn't matter right? No the next problem it creates is that it takes 2 people in either team to increase the pace of the game. So if you increase the crank up the pace to the 11 there is no problem right? Wrong. This is where mechanics like mana come in. There are necessary to keep each champion interactions to a satisfactory sometimes slower pace while allowing room for strategic pokes, waveclears etc. But how is Riot is doing these small pauses? By completely stopping the players. Fiora; With passive by random selected enemies in random spawning patterns. It's ok when player could have spawned the passive on an enemy by hitting them but when the game itself is making the decisions. What becomes of player choice? it's irrelevant and becomes bad because then faster fiora reacts the more damage she gets. Skarner; By staying in parts of the jungle and pauses to cap points. Kogmaw; By stopping him from moving when activating W. kindred; By stopping death for everyone in circle. That's very bad because 1) forces enemy in very bad decisions 2) stops the flow of teamfight abruptly. Illaoi; Passive is forcing the player stop in an area. Same with fiora's Poppy; by stoping the entire enemy team with her W aoe because "tank". Bard; player has little to no choice about his chaims spawn. Azir; Notice how much interaction player has with the tower. From examples i have posted (and can post more) developers are taking the control from players and slowly but steady are making it into true hand guided experience. In season 1 things there was a general rule of bruisers<physical damage dealers, physical damage dealers<magic dmg burst champs, magic dmg burst champs<bruisers. They reduced bruiser's damage by removing cdr from their items. They then removed dodge and when S2 came assassins came too because damage dealers went full squishy and they would murder you. So you introduced faster than them damage dealers. Fast forward 2 years and rengar is 2shoting every squishy. Marks and warnings are not enough so they introduced new champions that completely destroy the flow of battle (kindred, bard, tahm etc) They set their own rules in their own game and over the years have broken each of them. Much more cdr on ap items instead of bruisers and so on. But there is also the map in which they introduced more objectives for variety. Everyone on map is just rushing to get everything before the enemy does. All game long is about that. Who gets everything faster. Oh the enemy is doing Dragon, quick all rush herald or we lose top. Oh the jungler got X camp. quick he might be counterjungling yours. Team that had homeguards faster in Season 5 they won the match just by simply being faster to buy it. No problem if we put that on everyone right? Nope. Death timers are now the problem! Let's increase them! and it will be a never ending problem until league dies by itself. **The faster the pace of the game the more problems pop up. The more problems the more the game spirals out of control. They simply dont understand that having small pause in game is sometimes beneficial. Or they do and simply ~~guiding ~~ forcing the player into slower pace (like fiora's passive). Dota2 has it with build in mechanics like unit model turning speed slowing down the pace in some parts of the game. What i am most disappointed the most is the guided user experience (like fiora/skarner/morde/illaoi/kog/quinn/bard/kindred and less from azir, etc) and press certain keys on champion kits or wait 3-5 sec to activate because the game's speed is just so damn fast. They could just "nerf" assassins but the problem with each and every release they create will be there. The fondest memory i have from the game is season 3 Janna(me) vs Riven with me trying to escape her (since she was fed). riven as a nible champion created such a memorable moment resulting in a dance with me interrupting her and her to keep avoiding while still being a threat all of that harmonic movements leading up to a climax of me being saved by teamates. I'll be dammed if had that kind of experience in preseason 6 because of mass team stuns, huge aoe dmg, instagibs or Riot simply taking my hand, telling press X button to have fun.**

: League has a huge tempo creep.
So this has gone unnoticed by almost everyone. I just want a rational discussion or that they understand the what problem they create is. Can moderators pass on this? I do not care who sees it as long as they understand what i am talking about*. I have played over 5years and 8 months league of legends. I did not quit League when there huge server problems. I did not quit when huge hate messages were being spammed pre-tribunal. I did not quit when league had big balanced numbers with xin or pantheon/gragas. Yet I suddenly stopped loving after that long. Now I return to Dota which i left after that long. I have more than 10 years of moba experience and still i am not bored of them and i am going back to Dota 2... League is supposed to be a player-centric game yet unacknowledged ideas like this go unnoticed. Edit:*And can pass the idea.
