: While you correctly understand that the system brings any player to a 50% win ratio you misinterpret the details of how it is done and take it to a wrong unhealthy direction: 1. The method to get anybody to 50% win ratio is as follows: If you win more than 50% your MMR will gradually go up. Higher MMR means you are matched with stronger teammates and stronger opponents. This will keep happening until the skill level of your surrounding equals yours. At this point your win ratio will stabilize at 50% and your MMR will stop changing simply because in average you can no longer carry your games. This is a long term mechanism, it is not a short term micro-managed one like the one you describe. 2. The method aims to bring a player to 50% win ratio **in the steady state**. It does not try to punish a player for a successful transient. If a Diamond player starts a new account he will experience a long period with high win ratio until his MMR stabilizes at Diamond levels. After the stabilization his win ratio will converge to 50% but it won't compensate for the initial climb, so his overall win ratio for the season will be higher than 50%. 3. The method aims to bring a player to 50% win ratio **in case his skill level dos not change**. If you improve over time your MMR will rise over time and this gradual increase in MMR will translate to a win ratio of above 50% as long as your skill level keeps rising.
I've climbed two tiers this season, standing at 60% wrate right now, my mmr didn't even flinch, it's like I was advancing so fast that my mmr couldn't catch up; right now I'm at +18LP per win and - 17LP when I lose, at 60% wrate :')

So why do you care whether or not they get their accounts back? > Did they learn from it? That's where the honor level 0 kicks in - > I'm honestly not sure why you keep bringing this up. Honor level isn't an accurate indicator of behaviour, certainly not when Riot has...you know...the actual behaviour as evidence. All honor indicates is how often people were compelled to click a button and occasionally make a number go up.
Now that I recall, you remind me of someone I saw on the boards that tried so hard to sound intelligent that he stopped making sense. It could exactly be you. Regardless I won't answer this because you failed to understand my key points which just shows how little effort you've put into it. It's only natural that I put in as much effort for your comment as you did for mine, and hell that's what I'm gonna do..

Let's say, enter League before 17th Nov and you'll get your ban lifted! > However I suggest their honor level remains at 0 and a next minor offense will lead to their account being permanently banned again. Riot have already experimented with an idea like that, and hardly any of the players involved in the testing of such a system put in the effort to stop misbehaving. Why should they believe your friends should be any different? You don't even necessarily say that they've even _learned_ anything from being banned, so _that's_ not helping your case. If they really want to come back, there's nothing stopping them from creating new accounts, so long as they don't repeat history.
So I guess I need to put out a motivation letter and go in depth on how they've truly and honestly reformed? No one's gonna bite that! Also after being permanently banned you can either quit or make a new account and they decided to quit and it's understandable that they did. Did they learn from it? That's where the honor level 0 kicks in - > if they haven't just issue a permanent ban again. It's not like the system's automated so riot wont break a sweat about banning again. However, if they've learned how to take their frustrations out, their account will 'survive'..

: Riot doesn't really care about their players anymore, so probably your suggestion will go in the bin. but anyway you can try and post this in NA boards, there rioters are more active so, maybe some of them can tell you they dont care , but with more words.

You've had previous suspensions that strictly told you that the next punishment is going to be permanent. So it's not just one game.. As an owner of 2 permabanned accounts I understand your frustrations and I guess we can only hope that Riot changes the IFS and reporting system completely and that they'll revert bans next season to test the new reworked reporting system. The present one is really unforgiving, I'll admit that..

Wait, you're saying it's not my network failing to load the background properly?!
: Is this not punishable or frustrating?
Had a fair share of this happen to me too in platinum. It's hella frustrating but it's not punishable sadly. Your average jungler won't gank a lane where he can't pick up the kill..
: Promo games? More like waste your time games
[Your average adc in plat elo I guess..](http://prntscr.com/pbvde3) Platinum games are by far the least interesting ones, you either get hardstomped or you stomp everyone yourself. It's a joke and everything but enjoyable...

: Rankeds in diamonIV
Every tier has the problem with hardstucks, it's something you need to worry about whenever you get into a new tier. I've been diamond 5 on my previous account for three years. I peaked at dia 4 and realized that further climbing would ask me to focus on the game more. Since then, once I entered diamond I was done with ranked. Unfortunately I had to play once a month because I'd else decay to platinum (I once did, feelsbadman).

: Banned for prohibited thirdparty software?
Sand a support ticket. You wouldn't believe how common it is to have people hack into your account and play few games to provoke a perma. Good luck!
: You literally said you won't even bother explaining why something is wrong. If noticing that is your idea of "analysis", then...I'm not at all surprised that explaining felt too hard for you.
There are people who would understand my points and would at least try to consider them. And there are people who will stubbornly hold onto what they've said because their ego doesn't allow them to actually consider other opinions (you needn't waste time with those people). Judging by your attitude, you indeed are the latter.
: Why are cuss words punishable when not aimed at anyone?
Chat logs or it didn't happen. However, if what you're saying is indeed true, feel free to message riot support about the issue!

: This seems like a pretty silly case, could you tell me the summoner name of the perma banned guy pretty please? Alternatively, have him respond and tell me. While I can't guarantee anything since I don't know the details, I can make sure it's looked into, and if as you say he received a premature perma, I'm pretty confident they'll end up reversing it.
It's all fine and well now! After a support ticket he's got his ban reversed into a 2 weeks one. Thank you for your concern!
: PSA: You Can't Expect The Support To Always Be There
In my short career of climbing as an adc (for the past month or so) I've never happened upon a support that I've blamed, they were always trying their best at times. The only thing that pisses me off is that I've had a huge variety of non-support champions aiding me on botlane. It's so tilt inducing and I had to get used to it. Quinn support, Ezreal support, mfking Irelia support etc. And when I happened upon good supports they always apologized for stuff they accidentally did, were it a ks or a misposition. I realized that most of adc players are just straight up bullies lol.. Good luck on your games and hope you won't get a bully adc. P.S. Last game I've had a 1/10 Braum, both him and I know our deaths (my score was bad too) but I've never told him a single word about it. Meanwhile our jungler spammed that phrase "report bot" even though he died on our lane twice by himself (hence, contributed to the heavy snowball of enemy adc). He won't get banned of course, but if I had talked back I'd get that juicy 14-day reform card. League's a mess.

Never mind how a lot of what I said was questioning how you could possibly know things such as how you could tell your friend wasn't serious outside of "he's your friend", so the fact that you don't have an immediate answer to this is really telling.
Good. Is your psychological analysis over yet? You wanna sound smart so hard that you fail to even make sense. Go do your analysis on yourself because you sure do need it more than us.

: Greetings CurlyBastard, You have a few facts wrong about why or how the system is set up, so I thought I'd clarify by correcting those details. To start off with, you need to know that the system is calibrated in such a way, that it will not trigger a review unless someone reports the individual, so that means that someone in that match decided to report him So if no one had reported him that match, he could easily said those things and gotten away with it, without any repercussions. The IFS you're referring to, is designed to give the player(s) feedback within a couple of minutes, so that the memory of the games are still fresh, and they know exactly what type of behavior was unwarranted. So I think you mean to say that the punishment system is erroneous, rather than the IFS being at fault.
An update: he's now permabanned because IFS failed to do what it's supposed to do. IFS got delayed and we had mocking game in the aram after this very game in the OP. He got reported yet again. Game #1 (OP) gave him a 14 day ban which is a warning before perma and game #2 instantly gave him perma afterwards so it was without warning basically.

Thank you for your insight regarding the issue. My friend actually wanted to hit the ban to get a rest from the game. It's very rage inducing knowing that people are punished harder over what they've said than punished over what they did. I've came across the whole topic and some neat suggestions that would help you cut the root of the flaming problem = the players that provoke it. If you want the board link I'll be more than happy to provide it to you!

We were messing around and calling each other names in the chat. And people outside of your circle of friends are supposed to tell this playful banter from malicious name-calling...how, exactly? > My friend got a 14-day ban just because someone reported him for that even though you can tell he wasn't serious at all. His words are indeed offensive in a case where the writer MEANS what he writes, this was just a group of friends mocking each other and having fun! Again, it's rather convenient how you never mention _how_ you could tell the player wasn't being serious. The only reason you'd have for saying that is because you know beforehand that the player was a friend of yours. Which people outside of the exchange won't know, obviously. > P.S. Mind you this IFS is the very reason most of the community is getting their permabans. Permabans have been a thing in this game _years_ before the instant feedback system. > This is decreasing the player base in a very unwanted way - permabanned players hop to a new account and troll harder than ever before, and they don't get banned for it! **ROFL** How do you know that? Never mind how account progress and premium purchases are lost with an account ban, so it's not like there _aren't_ still consequences even if players _did_ jump over to another account. > The measure for people who are flaming should just be a goddamn chat ban, it's that simple.. Except it's not. Riot already tried making indefinite chat restrictions the highest form of punishment back in 2014, and all that happened was that people who refused to change their behaviour simply found other ways to ruin matches like intentional feeding and ping spamming. Permanent chat restrictions didn't get rid of the bad behaviour - they _moved_ the bad behaviour.

They can issue a permaban for replying to a flamer. It's complete bs. They just want us to use that juicy disable chat button. It helps focus onto the game tho, I advise you trying it out on your new account.
