For example, they are now exploiring a new permanent game mode (Nexus Blitz). Why is that? Same reason as always: innovation. People give Riot a lot of shit, but those same people tend to forget how much we've progressed, even compared to season 6. Season 8 has been a turmoil of change. From Runes and new leveling system to ~~Crash~~ Clash and Nexus Blitz. They are always trying to push the game a little bit further. Some stuff happens without we even knowing it does, unless they tell us. For example, the changes to position selection and match making. It improved quite a bit, but they did all that without telling us anything. They made changes since all the way back in 2017 and only talked about it in March this year. I bet you didn't even notice the changes they made to XP rates recently. I don't remember seeing them mentioning adjustments, but they did. ######I noticed Riot. I NOTICED.

Probably the only exception where they can do it without 2nd thoughts. Though they should be cautious about it otherwise it will become URF 2.0. But I love that mode. It's nice and reminds of HoTS's maps. Unfortunately, I can't even access League that much to know what changes they are doing. So I can't notice anything. I'm very limited to the internet except maybe boards. "Some stuff land badly with the community (eg Zoe), but many things end up working out (Runes, Practice Tool, semi-functional Replay system, etc)" Well if I made a champion and turns out that most community is frustrated on it, I would call it a failure. League is a game. Games are supposed to be fun. So it should always be fun whether you're playing that champion or against that champion. Although practice tool has always been something we need. Safe to say we all have been waiting for it and asking for it. As for runes...working out? Maybe. But I don't think it was half complete when released. Just rushed. New runes is what even caused the problem as we all know called " too much damage." And back then old runes all class could use anything (damage, defends or even both), but now defensive runes work only on bruisers or tanks and damage on damage only (Or on all at least, which makes the problem even worse). I can't blame riot for trying to keep the game fresh. They should. But they just need to be careful on what to add. New things are good, but sometimes new things can be bad.

You won't change anything being angry or typing on forum. Accept the game as it is or don't play. Every game goes through different states. The thing is, the stuff that are changing me so badly are the very issues on League. Like the too much damage (which got nerfed), very short laning phase, and turrets being too weak. The state of the game is what's making me toxic. Not the trolling, inting, flaming and player behaviour stuff. That's what I meant. "Accept the game or don't play." I'm sorry, but that's not my cup of tea. If there are issues in the game, we turn and leave it?

Actually...the thing is, none of those are even the reason. It's mostly of how the state of the game is now. Back then, late game was possible, turrets were not cardboards and comebacks were also possible. Season 8 everything changed. Especially with new runes.

: I think that frustration, therefore growing toxicity in a gaming session can depend on environmental factors. I suggest that you should first try to provide a comfortable environment and atmosphere for yourself before you start playing. 1.) Always eat enough before playing. This works for me, as when I’m hungry, I get frustrated and it’s just harder to control myself in general. Laugh at the Snickers commercial all you want, but it’s true. You’re not yourself when you’re hungry, depending on how long you haven’t eaten. 2.) Always have a break after each game you play. Stand up from the computer for at least 5 minutes, maybe go to the bathroom or something, maybe drink a good coffee. If you’ve clicked “Play Again” for the third time in a row, and instantly queued up for a next game already, then that may cause decline in your patience depending on how easily you can get mad. 3.) Listen to relaxing music if you’re comfortable with it. I’m not even talking about ASMR, but Spotify has very good Yoga & Meditation, Sleeping and other relaxing playlists that can affect you mentally. More aggressive songs and party songs just cause you to beat your feet to the song and absolutely don’t help keep cool – or at least they just don’t help me. +1.) Circulate the air in your room from time to time. Bad air can make you less productive. Open the door and your window for a few minutes, maybe leave them open as it’s summer anyway. Who even does that? Wait...nevermind, point taken. 2- I never did that. Gonna add that to my list. 3- Usually epic songs help a lot. Like Fallout Boy- Pheonix. I started League mid or late season 4. Can't say I was innocent in match back then, but nowhere compared to now. I already know my skill and everything and don't even bother blaming, I don't even care about my mmr. But with how the state of the game is, like no late game, no comebacks, not much laning phase, etc. I'm positive these are the reasons themselves.

Wasn t that already balancing his dmg? Wukong is weak in laning, but strong in fights. If strong on both, I would call him an unbalanced champion. Every Assassin naturally do, but the AD Assassins are what abused the hell of it, and what even made AP Assassins somewhat unviable. Not even Fizz I'm seeing in games. Mostly Zeds. The nerf is well deserved, but it's not going to make the Assassin class unviable. Forgot the "too much damage" issue? This action right there was 1 step on getting rid of it.
JokerKun (EUW)
: 8.16 and asassin nerfs
Assassins nerfs was very well deserving. However, it's not going to put them to being unviable, they are still capable of one shorting squishees. Hell, they were too viable...the ban rate on them was through the roof, not even AP Assassins I'm seeing (also you probably should have AD Assassins on your title instead of just Assassins) or Mages when I play mid lane... And for Wukong to have so much damage with a leap, invisibility and knock up? Yeah please. Tanks aren't even strong and you have Conquerors for crying out loud...

In truth, keeping such a person is going to be more detrimental in the long run. Restaurant that won't fire the terrible cook will fail quickly and the owner, waiters and rest of the staff will find themselves unable to put the food on the tables. Riot won't fail as quickly, but makind decisions for the company based on the interests of individual employees rather than customer satisfaction will hurt everyone just as well, it might just take longer time for a game of LoL's scope to finally die. Keeping the bad employees will however make that process way faster.

I don't know if Riot is going by their own interest, but even if they do so, they will for sure die down. I'm sure they are not stupid to not know that though.
: Just to be clear - if Riot, based on metrics and their internal review and reasonable feedback regarding game featurtes decided that any given designer is not doing their job good enough or his style does not fit with the design philosophy or whatever, then that person should be by all means fired. But if community wants to accomplish that they need to identify problematic features and design decisions and explain why this or that change feels bad in the game. And if enough of such community communicated issues turn out to be problems, then firing the person responsible will be a good thing for the game. But this is different from having a hate-sink designer and saying that they should be fired because... reasons.

: While I don't support any of the demands for firing of the Rioters, I don't think that we as the consumers should hold the livelyhood of any person working for the company as a reason for our actions. If you went to the restaurant and were served indebile dish made by incompetent cook, you'd demand a refudn and you'd probably never visit again unless they've changed the cook. Because why would you spend your money just to subsidize someone in the job they're bad at? The real problem with "Fire Rioter X" attitude is that it in no way addresses underlying problems and is just a way to find a scapegoat for whatever the people making demands percieve as wrong with the game. Which is ridiculous. Project of the LoL's scope is a complex thing and I believe it'll be difficult to pin-point who is to blame for any given problem. Not to mention that many of the supposed problems are highly subjective, poorly communicated and even if the person responsible for this or that design decision have been fired it doesn't mean game would change for the better. After all just removing a person is not equivalent of indentifying a problem and coming up with solution.

If something that didn't seem like a good idea, firing the person will not make it any person. Better yet, someone who takes his/her place might even be worse than the previous one, and could add an additional problem rather than reduce it.

: While we should always try to hold ourselves and our teams accountable it can be easy to forget that changes to the game go through multiple people and none of them are done with ill intent. Additionally as Eambo mentioned there is a real human being behind the username or title and we should all hold ourselves to a higher standard than ill wishing anything on another person be it for their in game skills, disagree with the work they have done etc. I think Riot as a whole is quite receptive to feedback but there is definitely a way to deliver feedback as Eambo mentioned I too love reading player feedback when someone takes the time to explain how they feel, what the problem is and maybe a suggestion as to how to fix it [EXAMPLE](https://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/champions-gameplay-en/Bnito9yx-towers-dont-feel-like-towers?show=flat). But I admit I would shy away from a post where someone is effectively just name calling or out with their pitchfork. Just my 2c.

: Not saying you should or shouldn't have anything against the man, as that wasn't the point of it all, just realise that if you are in charge of a particular area, then you hold the responsibility for that area in both good and bad decisions made. As for GC working at Riot now, I can't say he's done anything I would understand that causes people to lash out at him, seeing as he's leading their arts department, and their arts department is probably the one not making a cluster%%%% of everything.
> [{quoted}](name=Ceberuz,realm=EUW,application-id=2BfrHbKG,discussion-id=OWOu4hyf,comment-id=00070000000000000000,timestamp=2018-08-15T17:28:54.399+0000) > > Not saying you should or shouldn't have anything against the man, as that wasn't the point of it all, just realise that if you are in charge of a particular area, then you hold the responsibility for that area in both good and bad decisions made. > > As for GC working at Riot now, I can't say he's done anything I would understand that causes people to lash out at him, seeing as he's leading their arts department, and their arts department is probably the one not making a cluster%%%% of everything. I don't what he's a lead of (Or was), but I'm going to take your word and that he was a lead on arts department. If people are blaming him over things he's not in control of, then that's dumb. Blaming someone on balance while he's in charge of art department...there is a saying in my language (Arabic) "Shu jeb toz bi marhaba?" Which is a translation to "what involved fart with hell?" Often said when things go off-topic. Although...wasn't GC lead on gameplay or something? Forgive me, but I don't think we are on the same page...

I'm say as you. Although I main Vel'Koz, he's already a well balanced champ, until maybe the Q buff which made no sense to me whatsoever, and wasn't even needed. Yeah...sometimes adapting is a bad idea now...as someone who loves strategy, this is just sad.

: Actually it does, when you are leading any department, any major final decisions are signed off by you thus falling onto you whether good or bad. GC became became the leader of WoW development at the end of the 3rd expansion WotlK if I remember right, which was when the game was turned from a great cooperative MMO, into a kindergarden with instant gratification focusing heavily on 30min session in which you could see end-game content in less than 1 week.., which became 4 weeks since they had to artifically gate the content by releasing some of it after 2 weeks of opening, to avoid even the most casual 3 year old kids being bored to death. At which point the game started hemorraging subscribers.

Look man, Idk WoW. Never played it in my life. PvP games wasn't my style (didn't even know about it). The games I played was Command and Conquer and that's about it. I knew about League and got into it on 2014 (mid or late season 4). So I can't know what GC did, or agree or disagree anything about you said, nor can I be against GC or with him. I'm sorry man...

: I am one of those who hold no love for GC due to the butchering he did to WoW, difference being he was leading development at Blizzard, at Riot he is leading arts & design (if I am not mistaken). It's two entirely different roles, so if this game gets butchered (Which I actually feel is the case with the 15min games and wildly haphazard match making), it's not by his decision making.
> [{quoted}](name=Ceberuz,realm=EUW,application-id=2BfrHbKG,discussion-id=OWOu4hyf,comment-id=0007,timestamp=2018-08-15T14:34:04.379+0000) > > I am one of those who hold no love for GC due to the butchering he did to WoW, difference being he was leading development at Blizzard, at Riot he is leading arts & design (if I am not mistaken). > > It's two entirely different roles, so if this game gets butchered (Which I actually feel is the case with the 15min games and wildly haphazard match making), it's not by his decision making. Whatever history about GC with WoW is beyond me. I never played WoW so I can't relate. But doesn't mean everything is his fault. Which is apparently what you said... I got nothing against GC, but I'm neither a big fan of his. I'm neutral.

If those players care about akin but not about balance i believe that "healthy enviroinment" is the last of their thoughts A player who mains a champion who is meta, too strong (whether rune, item or even the champion) would defend and be against any nerfs (even if deserving). Because to many, balance is when their champion is strong and others aren't. While you're talking about skins...I don't know. Don't we all want skins on the champion we love playing? I don't think wanting skins would mean they care or not about a healthy game.

: Most people who wish that, don't even realize what they are saying at the moment of rage. It's such a strong psychological state of mind that it even locks the person out of the surrounding areas and also locks out of common sense, if the anger within is strong enough. The person can regret it multiple years later, when he suddenly remembers the situation, but most likely won't even bother calming down in anytime near the incident that made him angry. However, while most people do have self control, the people on the internet are usually outsiders one way or another and as such, are more leniant on controlling themself and more compulsed to control the environment(which is something not possible on the net.
