I enjoy playing with everybody with a positive attitude, which you seem full of. :-) We all learn, and we all do stupid mistakes now and then. Who am I to judge. Im often a bit insecure about playing with random supports also, but positivity usually helps. I just tell them to pick something they're comfortable on, or is really straightforward (Im talking about you {{champion:25}} ), so I can do my thing without worrying about them going too ham, or not following up on engages. I love support cause you have a lot of time at your disposal to properly learn the macro aspect of the game, since you dont have to waste your braincells tryharding to last hit. It's also good when I want to take my brain off things. But other than that I try to avoid it, since as you said, it's sometimes hard to trust the ADC, especially in low elo hehe. Regards, Luc

: I tried it twice and 1st time not so bad 2nd time was awful I think I am support forever :(
Thats okay Jess, practice makes perfect ;) I was scared of moving to other lanes from support for a while aswell, but once I mastered a few champs in the top lane, it started feeling great, and very satisfying to play! Shame you're on EUW, otherwise we could've played a few matches together. :) Regards, Luc

I have never played {{champion:58}} and know almost nothing about him.. I was thinking Fiora or Riven because I think they are getting buffed next patch? I am prob wrong about that!

Here's a few champions that are pretty easy to pick up, and offer quite fun gameplay, each in its own way (in case you decide to throw Pantheon away): {{champion:36}} - Just annoying really. This guy scales insanely well; he's pretty much unkillable lategame. Not extremely flashy, all he does is run around throwing axes and being an asshole overall, but he's extremely strong and easy to play. Good when you want something to take your brains off things. Insanely tanky. {{champion:24}} - He's actually not hard to play at all, and right now he's in an insanely strong spot. When you play him just remember, that early on, you're weak. You dont want to fight much until you get 2 items, unless an opportunity comes (enemy mispositions, overextends or you get a gank from your jungler). What you want to do is press E to start dodging, then use Q to hop on top of your enemy. After it, E will activate and stun the enemy, so you can freely hit them a bit, then disengage. {{champion:133}} - This is one of the typical top lane bullies. Ranged champion that usually has an ADC build, with oneshot potential, and a lot of harrass in lane. Pick her if you want to be an annoying asshole and a bully. She's not a good teamfighter though. You just wanna roam, 1v1 and gank mid laners / junglers. {{champion:83}} - The ultimate pusher. Doesnt care about the game at all, he just sits in his lane pushing bit by bit. Has 1v2 potential when his ult is up, and is a very strong laner, and splitpusher. Pretty immobile though, so usually dies a lot. But he doesnt care. He just pushes. {{champion:23}} - We've all seen the angry viking oneshot people, dive turrets, and run away smiling. Very strong across all game, especially for splitpushing and 1v1, but can be countered really hard by crowd control. Also, he's kind of an asshole aswell. {{champion:58}} - Lane bully. Very strong early game, easy to set up ganks, decent mobility. Practically all you need in a champion. Also, he's really easy to play and has decent sustain. Should try him. I'll add some more later hehe. Regards, Luc

: I never took Electrocute.. I did Conq as thats what I found on a Pantheon guide, I am not very good with runes. My usual tactic is to build up stacks and W quickly Q and normally E because I panic that I am going to die! I am prob a bit too pasive and try to focus CS except that game vs urgot.. dont look at that one! I also always have taken teleport, I thought it was the thing to do at top lane lol. I can prob get some footage though it would be quite embarrassing if you wanted to see!

Give Electrocute a try, you wont regret it! It's much more agressive oriented, and overall better for early trades. I think it's way more powerful than conqueror myself. As far as summoners go - you're generally supposed to take teleport only on very passive, split push oriented top laners (Nasus), or champions that you want to use the teleport to help other lanes out (Shen is a great example of that). For everything else, take ignite. Especially in soloqueue. On Pantheon even more so, since you rely on fighting a lot and killing the enemy. An ideal trade with Pantheon would be started one cast away from your passive proc (so before your bar turns red); that is because you generally open your rotation with W. After that, the bar will turn red and you will use it on your Q, which will deal enormous damage to the enemy. After that, you cast E, while slowly walking backwards, away from the enemy to safety. But engaging with W while your bar is red is fine aswell for a beginner, since it procs Electrocute even easier. Add me on Discord if you'd like, it's easier to talk there: Topgun#0222 Bring that Pantheon out and make 'em fear you! {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-popcorn}} Regards, Luc

: Oh wow thanks for the reply, previously I have been playing Akali mid lane but since the nerf I no longer enjoy her, and I think I would like to move away from assasins for something more tanky and able to take it to the enemy a bit (I play Naut as a support for ranked) which is why I went for Pantheon but I am not doing as well as I hoped!

Pantheon is an outstanding champion, especially if you enjoy lane dominance and dueling. I'd have to watch you play to be able to really point out the issues you are having with playing him, but here's a brief guide on how to do it properly: 1. Take the right runes - Electrocute works wonders on him, as it's really easy to proc. I would say picking Electrocute as your main rune, and going for Precision as secondary tree (to get health back once you kill enemies, and to help you execute them better). 2. Be agressive. - Pantheon's level 2 powerspike is probably unmatched in the top lane. At level 1 you will want your Q leveled up, at level 2 you will want your W. The idea is to use your W to gap close to the enemy to stun them, then tap Q afterwards to deal massive damage to them. Continue by autoattacking to proc Electrocute, then back off. After level 3 this becomes even more apparent - you do the same, but after your Q you also use your E to block any incoming damage they might throw back at you after their stun wears off. This way you practically cannot lose trades, and everytime you go in your opponent will lose almost half of their health bar. 3. You're not a farmer, you're a warrior. This is the most basic rule of low-elo Pantheon I had to learn to really master him. Pantheon doesnt care about cs'ing. He just wants to fight. Bring ignite to lane and fight all you can, and you'll see just how strong he is. Just make sure to keep the bush warded for any incoming ganks - there'll probably be a lot since nobody can really 1v1 you ;)

It's just a farm and split push scenario until the whole map collapses into one lane. Teemo is actually amazing; he's very easy to lane with, and if executed well, a solid splitpusher and teamfighter. I'd say keep onto him. And he doesnt really have many counters in the top lane either, which is great. Fiora is amazing too, but takes a bit to learn properly. She's great at dueling, which is fun stuff. > [{quoted}](name=MissJJess,realm=EUW,application-id=39gqIYVI,discussion-id=rwG1LyTI,comment-id=,timestamp=2019-09-17T09:46:30.952+0000) > Who would be a good champion to try? I'll need some more information here - do you mostly want to 1v1 the enemy top laner and pressure him by killing him over and over?; Do you want to splitpush and play alone by just destroying turrets and not giving a crapper about what goes on elsewhere on the map? Do you want to lane on top as a disguise, but really provide support coverage on all other lanes, so you stall your lane into a neutral scenario, while helping your team win mid and bot lane and transfering that into a victory? Do you want to excel in lategame teamfighting, or do you prefer early game power? Do you prefer tanks / assassins? Safe champions / lane bullies? Tons of opportunities. I can give you a brief overview of each top lane champion if you'd like, but I'll wait for your response first, to not waste my time writing it if you wont even see it lol! Regards, Luc

I already figured out my main; Gnar, but I'll for sure play some of these, maybe Trynda I was thinking. Thanks, <3 Anytime Nevlu! If you ever need any further help just let me know. :-) Gnar is a great champion, but it takes quite a while to learn properly. Me personally, I usually fail on him completely. Obviously it's a very strong laner, with nice range and poke, and with potentially pretty strong tankiness. Although I feel like he really needs the team's cooperation to shine, which is where most of the champions I noted down kind of out-trade him. Also, if you miss your ult in teamfights you're kinda irrelevant, as it's pretty much what keeps gnar somewhat popular. If you stun 4 people in a teamfight, that's unforgetable though, and you pretty much solo won the fight. Be as it may, do give him a try and then decide on your own later whether you want to stick to him, or you want to pick something else. Just beware of the counters, some champions can give Gnar a pretty hard time ( we know you're here Irelia {{champion:39}} ) Go Gnar, go! {{sticker:sg-shisa}}

I like Twised Fate a lot, but I just don't enjoy the fact that you should roam with your ult and also you can't carry with your damage like you could with other champs. So let's say I want to main someone that has got good damage (good enough to carry when you are good at the champ), is fun to play, doesn't have a big banrate (lower than 10 or 5%), preferably is AD and is played at the top lane. Thanks for answering in advance. You can't go wrong with: {{champion:36}} - Dr. Mundo Pros: No mana (so you dont have to recall just to be able to stay in lane cause of mana drains) Lategame raid boss (if they dont have a champion specifically designed to burst through tanks, you might even be able to pull off 1v5s) Not very prone to being ganked (generally you dont push very hard, you're pretty fast, you got slows, so you're somewhat safe from being ganked) Doesnt need to build any damage items at all to do pretty serious damage Cons: Can be kited by good players if left alone without the backup of his team Youre not going to be the one doing most of the damage - you're just soaking it in and waiting for everybody to drop dead to your ADC. {{champion:80}} - Pantheon Pros: Stupid strong 1v1 potential (if played right there's not a single top laner that can outduel you) Has ult to get back to the lane or to roam to mid / bot (though you've mentioned you dont like roaming with TF - just use ult to get back in lane instead of TP then) Easy to set up ganks for your jungler Very straightforward playstyle and doesnt require too much skill Cons: Ticking timebomb - Pantheon falls off pretty hard lategame, and does not do very well in teamfights. Which means pressure is key - the current meta is actually set up for this perfectly. But you want to fight all the time with Pantheon. Ignore farming. Just poke and fight. You want to pressure them really hard early on, because you're practically unbeatable in 1v1s. Can be somewhat mana hungry early on, sometimes forcing you to back early (but if played right you'll only back after getting kills in, so you're backing pretty much at the same time as the enemy is) Is getting reworked, so I cant really say if hes gonna be just as strong. Can be counterpicked, especially with ranged top laners who'll poke you out of the lane and you'll be unable to engage. {{champion:23}} - Tryndamere Pros: Insane damage Very strong duelist (close to unbeatable after level 6) Very strong splitpusher No mana Cons: Whilst its a very simple champion mechanically, it requires some time getting used to - you win through splitpushing and macro game with him, not the classic teamfighting. Can be kited somewhat easily by certain champions, and is rather susceptible to cc (stuns will kill you pretty fast) {{champion:126}} - Jayce Pros: Good duelist Is partly ranged, so he can hold his lane against even the most annoying champions ( {{champion:133}} I see you ) Has a pretty good way to disengage if required Tons of damage mid-game Can snipe people dead from afar (really high range on his snipe) Built-in mana regen on his W passive Cons: Somewhat hard to teamfight with, falls off lategame (not as hard as Pantheon, but still, does) If you fall behind you're gonna be pretty useless for the rest of the game Hope this helped - all of these are really viable, suit your description of what you're looking for, and have pretty low banrates (Pantheon might change though). If you need any more help let me know. Regards, Luc
