: That's for 2020, not 2019 :/ > All Event Prestige skins released in 2020 will be available for Prestige Points at the end of next year. https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/features/prestige-updates Apparently, they just don't want to give it. There's really no other explanation. They have a lot of demand for the skin, there was no advertisement or proper in-time information, but they insist on taking no action.
>These changes won't retroactively apply to Event Prestige skins released during 2018 and 2019. Players who unlocked those skins did so with the expectation that event tokens would be the only way to get them, and we wanted to respect those players' investments. Well, ain't that a load of rubbish on their part! I know they don't do retroactive effects very often - even when they should... https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/developer-corner/uk0MeJ18-update-on-yesterdays-capsule-pricing-error ...but daymn! I guess the true irony is that I for one bought the pass and grinded my ass off for K/DA Kai'Sa Prestige Edition...only to learn those skins wouldn't even remotely be resembling anything "exclusive", given how they are releasing a new Prestige Edition skin (aka "Golden Chroma" at this point) with every single event.
: You couldn't tell apart the classic skin from the **LV** one? Get out >:(
True story I'm afraid. I watched the champion spotlight and skin spotlight back-to-back, and decided there was not enough difference in them to justify the cost. Note that I did not consider SFX or VFX (recall animation included) as part of that differentiation. I focused exclusively on how the skins looked when idling or simply moving about. And as such, I found them pretty similar. That said, I am not a Qiyana player, nor do I really like that sort of champion/playstyle, so I would be rather biased.

: Haha, I guess I might have to give up on white rip
_Taking my own advice here, and throwing it out the window..._ Actually, not so much as you might think. While the time for white bezels has come and gone for me, there are years since last I looked for them. I had my interest piqued for real when I watched Kingsman - The Golden Circle and saw a scene where they had all-white monitors, so I looked around again (most of these are found on Amazon): Samsung C27H711 Acer EB321HQU Acer G257HU Acer XG270HU VIOTEK GN27DW _Downside is almost universal 60 Hz refresh rate and/or only full-HD resolution._ You wouldn't happen to have an EUNE account so we can talk some more? If you're interested, that is.
: I don't have anything in the post yet, I'm saving my new monitor for once I move to my new flat which doesn't have a date yet Tbf I haven't even found any monitor I like yet, my problem being that, there doesn't seem to be many white 144 Hz monitors and I have a white and wood setup sooo The few white monitors I've seen were seemingly all ultrawide monitors which I'm personally not a fan off so rip
You're joking! Seriously, are you me? I too searched far and wide for a 16:9 (preferably 16:10), non-curved monitor with specifications that I wanted with a WHITE bezel! :O Closest I got at the time sadly was a Philips 245P2ES with a silver bezel. Frankly, that was the main reason I bought the G24's - they had a bezel colour NOT in black, like everything else was and still is. Well, I think you'll just have to accept a black bezel. But fortunately some of them are so thin, you likely won't notice it much. Just to throw out some names: AOC Q2790PQU Samsung S27R750 Dell UltraSharp U2719D Acer H277HK We probably shouldn't derail this thread any further, so best of luck with your monitor search. :)
: it's coming Soon™ And that's 180 with the fps drops that this post is complaining about, teamfights themselves don't make my fps drop that bad
_Love it when people use "Soon™". I feared I was the only one to do that._ :D So what have you got coming in the post? Being a hardware nerd myself, computer specs are like porn to me. ^^ Did a monitor upgrade myself recently. 3x 27" HP Omen Z4D33AA 165 Hz. Up from 2x 24" Acer Predator G24OID 60 Hz. Unlike Starcraft 2, playing games that actually supports 7680x1440 (Nvidia Surround) is all kinds of sweetness. Even Portal 2. Am currently building up bravery to try Alien: Isolation in the dark with headphones.
: This isn't an issue with computer specs I've had fps drops too, they're not noticeable since my current monitor is only 60Hz but I've had my fps drop from 550 to 180 multiple times
Mate, if your rig seriously does 180 FPS in teamfights, then you should do yourself a favour and get at least a 144 Hz monitor to go with it.

And after a client restart, got into a game lobby and the loading started..."check your network connection"-loop error. ...I could be wrong, but as I can write this, I don't think there is anything wrong with my connection. And there the whole game just disappeared. Back in main profile window.
Rioter Comments
: SOLVED - The issue is either one of these 2 things. First, I rolled back my Nvidia drivers to a version from 6 months ago, I'm using version 430.86. Second, I uninstalled the Nvidia HDMI audio driver.
I know I don't use Nvidia HDMI Audio, so I never had that driver installed in the first place. But yes, multiple drivers for a single device could certainly cause problems (I know I panicked when I connected a new monitor and suddenly all audio was gone - turned out DisplayPort overrode my audio card RCA connection). As for graphics driver, I was on 431.60 when this issue first started. However, I didn't update it to 441.08 until recently (like 2 days ago), and there was no change in behaviour whatsoever. Except for the audio issue, we seemingly have the same syptoms, except I don't think we have the same issue. Given my CPU's behaviour - and being 6 years old including the thermal paste, it's only reasonable should be hurting when overcloked after this long - I think that's where my problem lies. That said, it IS surprising that I don't have ANY issues with ANY other games. So the League client coders is far from without blame. Speaking of which, here's a "mini-game" you can check out on your end: Open Task Manager and watch the CPU usage. Then open the League client and go to your main profile window. Keep watching your CPU usage. Then open the TFT tab. I got a ~20% increase in CPU usage when having the TFT tab open. But I am in the process of building a new PC these days (i7 9700K, haven't decided on motherboard yet), so while it would be interesting to find the real problem here, I find myself caring less and less. Eepecially as we both know we won't get any answers from the developers anyway.
: I just checked the Red Tracker. https://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/redtracker For the past month all Riot staff seem to only care about the game art and contests. I think we would be better off emailing their support.
Yeah, I've seen it...it's a disgrace. There should be _some_ consistent Red activity on the EU Boards. The NA Boards got plenty of them. And I utterly refuse to believe ALL EU Reds are busy with Worlds. Support would be a waste of time, I promise. Not only are most of them tehcnically clueless, but they also just give basic replies like "try updating your GPU driver." Or "Reduce your graphics settings." Which I promise you they would say even if you put in a "I got dual RTX Titans" in your first sentence.
: I agree it is not an FPS problem, the FPS dropping is just a side effect of whatever is causing the issue. My hunch is it is either a problem with the game loading something(SSD), the CPU throttling or the audio being buggy and causing a stutter. How can we get Riot to look at this? I died in lane in ranked because everything bugged out for a few seconds and I walked into the enemy tower and my team reported me for inting.
>My hunch is it is either a problem with the game loading something(SSD), the CPU throttling or the audio being buggy and causing a stutter. I hunched on the SSD as well as a potential source, as I know my current Games SSD doesn't have nearly the same random read speed of my old one (upped in capacity, but reduced performance - was a cost question). However, if it was on a block-level, this was something that should have been fixed with a reinstall of the game OR affect every other game that I play as well. And I refuse to believe ALL other games I play relies more on sequential read. And so I don't think it's the SSD. If it was a CPU-throttle / overheating issue, that is also something that would be equally noticable, and even more so, in more demanding games than League of Legends. Like Battlefield V, just to name one. Again, on my end, this spiking issue is not present in ANY other game. You asked me if I had any audio issues in that other thread, which I did respond I did not. A couple other things: Do you have Avast AV? I once had a really nasty audio bug caused by Avast. Took me nearly 3 months to track down too. Turned out to be a DPC latency issue with Avast, causing some sort of overload on my network connection, both cable or WiFi, which in turn made my audio, through dedicated card or onboard, to crackle (yeah, I don't understand that one either). But this was a consistent crackling on all sources, increasing in severity over a couple days. Only solution was to restart the PC to gain another few days. Or disable all internet devices on my PC. Or, once I found the issue, uninstalled Avast for good. And the issue you describe is something different entirely. Still, the devs already have warned against the use of Avast AV versus their new anti-cheat system or whatever. Secondly, you using onboard audio or a dedicated sound card? Dedicated ones got its own audio processor, which could explain why I don't have an audio issue along with the spike. Onboard audio, however, works more in sync with the CPU and so, when the game lags for whatever reason (especially when CPU limited), the audio "lags" (crackles) as well to "stay in sync" with the game.
: i5-8500 GTX 770 - Runs at about 200-300 FPS even through heavy fighting. The stutter occours at any point in the game.
Since your CPU is way newer than mine (5 generations actually), have you tried playing with Task Manager open, seeing if that gives a readout on anything when the spikes occur? On my OCed 3770K, it gives a massive drop spike in CPU usage before spiking equally massive upwards right after the spike before leveling out to normal.

: Hellu! 😊 Thank you for offering so many details and as well for mentioning the Logs from the Hextech Tool. Before adding the logs here, let's try a couple of things first (_if you haven't tried them already_). --- To reduce some possibilities, please navigate to a Custom Game and retry the abilities to check the FPS (it is needed to compare the result after changing some settings). 🢖 From _Settings > Sound_ > check the "_Disable all Sound_" box 🢖 Retry using the abilities and see whether there's more FPS now _Usually in Custom Games you have more FPS because it's only you. _ --- As a first step, let's check the V-Sync settings and Anti-Aliasing. Have you modified them by now? 🢖 **V-sync** should be** Unchecked ** 🢖 **Anti-Aliasing** also **Unchecked** 🢖 Cap the **Frame-rate** to **60 FPS ** _You can also play a bit with the other settings, like setting the Shadows: No Shadow, Effects Quality: move them a bit lower than you have them. _ ---- Have you tried setting League of Legends to Borderless? This can help a lot. I always keep it on Borderless because it behaves better on my PC😅 --- **Some additional questions:** 🢖 Does it happen only when you take an action or it's the same when other players use their spells? 🢖 What other troubleshooting steps have you tried until now? Sorry for the long reply :D Looking forward to hearing from you! {{sticker:sg-soraka}}
Without going into the long, technical discussion, I have a question which I feel is the underlaying one: How come this issue started randomly some 3 patches ago? Can we get some technical feedback or possible reasons from the developers on that? With all these random spikes occuring only since the past few weeks, wouldn't it be more interesting to know what changes has been done server side or with the game coding that suddenly provoked these issues? Other than troubleshooting client side, I mean. Because I don't think that's where the problem lies. For example, what's this "Riot Games"-folder tha suddenly appeared on my Games SSD? Yes, I know what it does, it's the auto-login launcher, but why is it there? Were we ever told it would be there as another pass-through item to get ingame? And can that somehow be responsible for a CPU bug? Coding is a complicated matter, and I doubt they know how to do it properly, else the majority of issues occuring ever since the new client got released (which is still in Beta btw.) would have been avoided. When no change is done client side, with hardware or software, but something suddenly occurs with a game...why would that even suddenly be a client side issue?
: New High End PC - High FPS - Sudden FPS drops and Audio stutter when making an action
So pretty much the same as this one. https://boards.eune.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support-en/4LWofREb-weird-fps-drop I also got these random FPS spikes. But only once per unique action per match. For example opening the store, perfom a ping, even just see certain abilities being used (seemingly no pattern), I get a 4-5 second 0 FPS spike. I am frankly quite bored of having to repeat this information as all threads on the subject just withers and dies, especially on EUNE, and NEVER with any official response or seemingly any ingame change. My specs: Asus Z77 motherboard GTX 1080 i7 3770K @ 4,2 GHz Dedicated SSDs for OS and Games 32 GB RAM I play windowed mode. Settings maxed, because, damn it, my PC can handle it. It handles Doom 4 on Ultra just fine. No spikes at all. Dying Light with graphics settings maxed out? No problem. Tried reinstalling League completely, and updated my drivers. Which, frankly, shouldn't matter, because this issue was first introduced some 3 patches ago while I weren't doing any system changes. However, I have noticed something interesting on the CPU usage. Having Task Manager open on another screen while playing, I can see a massive CPU drop on all cores when the lag spike occurs. After the drop spike, the CPU usage then spikes almost to the roof before going back to normal. This behaviour has been consistent with every ingame spike I have seen since I began monitoring yesterday.

Limiting the fps or vsync saves energy, at full my pc uses 480w/h thats 2€/day, while at 60fps it only reach 80w, its ok you dont understand since ur mama pays the bill If it's really a problem that your PC draws too much power, then undervolt or declock it. Let it run at lower clocks. Can easily be done with both CPU and GPU. And no need to be rude. You asked a technical question in the initial post without explaining any monetary reasons behind it. At full load, my PC draws ~330 Watts. Idles at ~150 Watts. 3,32 kWh (@ idle) per day according to my UPS software. Nice room heater though. And it's cold here, so suits me just fine. How the hell do you get it to draw 480 W/h anyway? You got a RTX Titan setup or something?

: How does Draven throw his axes?
I have actually been wondering the same thing from a sheer physical standpoint. There are only so much to be gleaned from the official videos: [A New Dawn](https://youtu.be/vzHrjOMfHPY?t=84) / [Awaken](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zF5Ddo9JdpY&feature=youtu.be&t=129) Though from what I can tell, the inside handle of his axes rotates so he can swing them around, gaining rotational momentum before throwing them. Think of it as a recessed handle for a lid on a jar. You grab the lid handle, and by rotating it, open the jar. Same principle. Technically, I presume that means ball bearing handles. And, ironically, given his skill cap, a very difficult weapon to handle. Because as the blade swings around faster and faster, he gets less and less time to compensate for the time it takes to move his whole arm into position to actually perform the throw itself. And if ever mistimed, a lot of the momentum will be lost (tried using an NSD Powerball, if your wrist movements gets out of allignment with the speed of the gyroscope?). Physically and practically, it's a not a design that would last very long, as the weight of the blade (which, given its size, I would guess is quite high) + rotational force would grind against the insides of the handle with every spin, especially if ever even slightly off balance. And poor wrists every time he's performing the initial spin. On the upside, such a feature makes the weapon also much, much easier to throw, as it already has a momentum built from the rotational force, and as such requires much less strength when performing the throw itself. But it's a blunt and brutal weapon, as it's not very accurate (rotational force working against the shoulder unless alligned perfectly when throwing it). Also, risk of getting the hand caught inside the handle, if not letting go at exactly the right time. But again, very fitting for Draven's personality. ...And in hindsight, this was probably more information than what you asked for. ^^
: Does your audio also spaz out at the same time?
Not sure what you mean by that. Audio stuttering, stop all together etc.? But no, the audio plays just fine. Map SFX, Announcer, champion quotes - all good there. But then I do have a dedicated audio card.

: weird fps drop
I got the same thing. Happens once every game with every unique action I do (open the shop, make a ping etc.). Only once, but consistently every game. And with with a dedicated SSD for games (albeit not the best of random read performance), it shouldn't be like that. Especially as it began happening some 3 patches ago. But from what I can tell, it's (in my case at least) all down to the CPU spiking.

>Been chopping and changing since just before Uni. I'll probably gut it and upgrade before the end of next year! So that's more specs you'll need to tell me! :D Let me know what sort of build you have in mind, and I can probably help you out with finding something to your taste. I am also in the process of upgrading these days. [My current rig](https://boards.eune.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/off-topic-en/fQOqgEgz-show-your-set-up?comment=0001) is from 2013, but with a little overclocking it's still keeping up. But, well, it's been 6 years (discovered the old thermal paste didn't really like the OC after so long either, sadly), and I kind of want something new, even though I don't _really_ need to. [i7 3770K -> i7 9700K](https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-3770K-vs-Intel-Core-i7-9700K/1317vs4030). Originally just intended for a new motherboard, new RAM and CPU to put in my current chassis...bought new chassis, new PSU, new system drive - basically new everything. ^^ New build is almost(!) done - just missing the motherboard and the CPU xD Oh well, with everything new, I can change the thermal paste on the old CPU once I get to the motherboard (because it have to come out) and put the current rig up for sale.
: Cheers! Also managed to find out that, for those with multiple monitors, using shift+WK+right. "WK" being the Windows Key and "Right" being the right arrow key - could be left if the free screen is on that side instead. Still annoying that it cannot be fixed "the first time" it happens but I am not prepared for the future! I was able to rejoin and found out my team were mulching 4v5 anyway - shame I got an abandon...
Excellent! If it's any consolation, I too felt myself so entirely rescued by the not yet mentioned multiple-monitor setup that I also just so happen to be in acquisition of. Or in plain English, I was able to move over the Task Manager from one screen to another other and close those pesky applications. Once you get more than 1 monitor, everything else seems to inadequate, wouldn't you agree. :) I stared in dread upon the hollow darkness of what I for at least the briefest of moment had hopes and expectations of would eventually turn into the dear, yet most repeated of visions, the loading screen. So what screens do you have, relishing in your precious desk space? As a hardware nerd, I need to know those juicy details! I had 2x Acer Predator G24OID (24", 1920x1200) from 2007 and 2008, until I this year upgraded to an [HP Omen Z4D33AA](https://www.newegg.com/hp-z4d33aa-aba-27-qhd/p/0JC-0019-02374) (27", 2560x1440).
