It's changing. The meta in toplane still has not fully evolved. there are some topp tier picks(gnar, mao etc), but most of the time atleas in low elo, offmeta beats meta. Noc can roam pretty darn well, and is onmlt gated by mana issues

I started disliking support in last 3 seasons. It became all about "which team gets support main". So I transitioned to sololanes, where I can still be supportive if neccessery. Hell I tend to täke gold item in situations where most (even pro's) don't.

She was more than that prerework, as she could be played in 1 form, or another, or both. However, the only ranged form oneshot style was deemed way to unhealthy, hence his power got redistributed around her kit, which made her weaker in only melee/only ranged playstyle, but stronger in combined playstyle. They removed the exact same thing from nidalee that they brought back in zoe. Wheres the logic in that?

To be honest, both GP and Illaoi have fairly poor time against morgana since she can basically harrass for free. Against seju tho, indeed, they are decent. But both get outscaled by her and if she takes ancient coin, then she won't fall behind too far even when zoned.
Gnar is the only one you mentioned who can do fairly well against them. But toplane right now isn't about turrets and pressure anymore.
This depends on their itemization. Tiamat on a fighter is pretty decent. Remember, they only need 1 offensive item, even then it doesnt have to be upgraded right away. Hell it's my second most bought item on irelia, since azir and xerath do tend to push a lot. Also some fighters actually like enemy minion waves(Renekton mainly), since they gain more sustain from it.
Tiamat/sheen/any other t2 item, then some hp and resistance depending on enemies youre facing, then upgrade the first offensive item.
I do not know the state of titanic hydra currently. However steraks is extremly overpowered in fighters, since the shield they gain is rather huge. Combine that with gargoyles active(yes, it reduces damage but by that time you forced someone out of the fight already) and you get pretty darn good survivability. Besides once the active falls off your cd's are all up(exept for ult) and you can go for another carry. They are good in short and extended fights. But they do have hard time against peelers, who are currently in meta thanks to hypercarries.
Taliyah is someone who does not like counterengage mages(Morgana). Picking a dasher in to her is foolish anyway cause her e can deal a crapton of damage. Blinkers(ezreal) and immobile roamers(Tf) on the other hand don't mind it at all.
Also, there are assasins with aoe abilities that can go sorcery instead of domination(Zed, diana, katarina, talon to name a few), thus they can make sure the enemy doesn't roam, since otherwise they just lose a turret or even 2. And they won't rely so much on cd's either with so much cdr and survivability in utility and sorcery tree.

So how about you adapt. The problem is riot is making changes when they shoudln't. Community as a whole tends to find stuff that works, stick to them and then overlook everything else.
Fighters are devastating in teamfights at this moment. With domination gving flat stats and utility, while sorcery gives arquebly the best damagr stats for caster based champions in game, a lot of things go unnoticed.
Midlane irelia is a devastating damage threat that noone can ignore. Same with vi. Even more, they counter assasins, have great roaming potential and can dive enemy carries without a problem. People have not had time to experiment with this kind of stuff in high elo. They don't even think of it, cause stuff like that previously has not worked.
Also, stopwatch. It's a safety tool that makes dives too risky. It hinders early game kill oriented agression, but is crazy good when you need to take down that turret fast and dodge crucial abilities, not to mention enabling catch up.
Toplane right now is super good for utility based late and midgame champions(sejuani, morgana, karma). The resolve tree offers both resistances and sustain, while inspiration makes sure you can either stay alive(stopwatch+celestial body) or harass like a boss(biscuit delivery+cdr)

probleem with this is that twin shadows actually helps with limited vision in vision game. downside, it becomes a staple on pretty much any support. pair it with good ap and it becomes even more of a mandatory option for anyone who uses the stats twin shadows gives.

think a bit larger. think of her as a cc shielding machine. what that kind of machine can do? correct, they can tank like a badass with right build. Resolve janna is pretty damn strong in low elo, since you still aim high cdr and utility, but instead of häving the offensive sustain utility(ardents, redemption and ap etc), you,ll be building defensiive utility(some more soft cc, more shields etc)

Anyway I usually go for {{item:3069}} on both build paths, unless i can be very agressive with basics. then i use {{item:3092}} instead. everything else...well..situational

it's dps carries(doesnt matter if ad or ap) job to bump out constant dps. it's bursty carries job to kill the enemy adc. Burst carries are both burst mages and assasins. now that thats corrected, twin shadow has been an asked and wnate ditem for gods knows how lõng, as soon as it became in game tbh
