: Some of the missions i completed are gone
I have the exact same problem, and several other friends of mine too. Just went from 29 to 24 Missions. **Edit: I just found this thread: https://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/esports-en/TcA9YyVX-world-missions an official riot tecnician has already commented there**
: Emote saving error, code: EM03
I had the same problem, also the two emotes from the blue essence shop (50K blue Essence and 75K blue essence) where bugged and didnt show up in my emote Collection. I solved both problems by simply restarting my client, everything worked fine afterwards.
: I'm pretty sure it also applies to self-shielding. Used it on Poppy, felt like the shields were bigger. Also the tooltip said that I did get bigger heals and shields.
Thanks for your quick reply :) Also I just tested the other situation with a premade in a custom game, for everyone who was wondering about the same question as me: The Revitalize Rune seems to apply to every heal and shield, no matter if cast on yourself or on allies. :)

: Need to vent... support main
I know this problem. I did it to Plat 4 last season as a main support and games were actually easier to carry there than in bronce-gold. This is mostly because of the nature of the support role, he is, as the name says "only" supporting the team. Of course you can support better/worse and therefore influence the game, but the problem is, that even if you support realy good, your team often fails to use your support properly. Its just as if you would give someone a realy powerful weapon but they dont know how to use it. Unfortunately just as the weapon, the support cant realy do seomething on his own but alawys have to rely on his team to know how to propperly use the advantage that you are providing to them. A lot of times it even happens that a high elo support dies/feeds because his low elo team is not following/using a pick that the support provieded etc. I kind of found a way to still carry, which is unfortunately to play those ap supporters such as Malzahar, Brand, Annie or Vel Koz. This however only grants a pretty weak source of carrying potential since all the other positions are still better to carry with. Also its not what I would consider fun to play, since I did not decide to become main support just to play AP Midlaners on the bottom lane. Usually I tend to only play with a duo Queue partner right now who plays preferably jungle or mid because supporting is so frustrating in low elo.

: The problem with this(and also with the current system of course) would be that most players would be in the process of finding their correct ranking. So you can't really say that those 10-20 games are played with other platinum players but with other players that were also tested to be platinum. This could mess with the results of all players. It's an interesting idea but I see the a similar problem as in the current system: If you want to rate a certain player it becomes really hard and unreliable when the other 9 players are also still in the process of beeing rated
You are right on this. I just realized that there is also another problem, assuming you would mess up the first rating (those 20 games) because you have a bad week maybe, then you would never be able to go any higher than platinum since this would be the new maximum. In general a player would not be abler to move up/down anymore once being rated a lot of times so the minimum/maximum moved realy close together. It was just an idea though, maybe riot might find a better solution once they start realizing that this is a problem.
Neonchan (EUW)
: The solution is easy. Remove soloQ and only rate the performance of teams instead of individual players. The problem you describe is both correct and not really fixable. The only way to evaluate a single player in a team game with random teammates is to have him play so many games that all the random factors become void. This is basically not possible, as noone can play that much. It's not a matter of not using a good rating algorithm. The amount of testcases(games) you need to evaluate the impact of a single factor(player) when a ton of random factors are also influencing a single, binary result(win/loss) is just too big
There was an idea coming up when I did read "It's not a matter of not using a good rating algorithm." In mathematics sometimes you ahve to approximate rather than calculate a value. If you get lucky you can kind of get a maximum and a minimum of what this value could be, you would then start taking the middle of those two borders and see if hats the correct value. If not you would maybe know if its higher or lower than this tested number and you ahve a new maximum or minimum. For example you are looking for a number, you know it has to be between 0 and 10, but you cant calculate it (for whatever reason), and lets say this number is 2.5. You would start testing the 5, you see that the number you are looking for is less than this so you are now looking for a number between 0 and 5, you would now test the 2.5 which is the number you were looking for. Maybe riot could do it this way, you just start in the middle of the elo, which from Bronze to Challenger would be Platinum. You would then play like lets say 10-20 games, depending on your ingame performance you would then go halfway to Challenger or Bronze, and then youi would be rated again throughout like 10-20 games. I dont know if this is a good way for an online games, it just came to my mind. Maybe riot knows if this could be a solution.

: Dude, don't complain about the ranked system, if you play good and win alot you get high mmr and and alot of lp per game even skipping divisions. Last season i got from silver 1 to dia 5 in 300 games. This season i got from gold 4 to dia 4 in less than a hundred games. talking about low elo players not taking advantage? then you play a carry role, go brand, zyra, even thresh. and it's not too slow you just gradually improved your skill, and you get what you deserve. if the ranked system was different it would be way to easy to boost people, and it is allready a little too easy. Btw if you were plat 4 last season and got to bronze 3, you didn't deserve it. H00kie is my username if you want to check my information.
Well some people cant even play 300 games each season, they have reallife and family and a job. Im not complainign anyway, Im just trying to draw attention to an issue that Riot might be able to fix. Also I did never skip division even though I had around 65% winrate at the beginning of the last season. I ended with a little bit over 55% I guess, and I never skipped a whole division. Oh and i got placed Bronze 3 last season, this season I was placed Silver 2.

: Flash not instant?
This following explanation is just a theroy, and I realy dont know if its realy the case, but it might explain bugs like this: League does not realy calculate everyting "in real time", it sort of stacks up every action that takes place in a short period of time and evaluates the results of those actions all at once. I think I once read something about the game having 30 "ticks" per second, so this would divide the game into 30 short periods of 0.03333... seconds each in one single second. Now it could happen that the damage that Skarner did to you was applied within the same period that your flash command was received by the server. So the server had the information that Skarner damaged you and that you would flash away. He then tested if you were alive and could flash away, which was positive and he flagged this command as "doable", he then tested if you were damageable by Skarner, which was also the case in this same period because the flashing action didnt take place yet (or at least the result wasnt there yet), so he also flagged this as true. He then executed all of the actions that were flagged as true at the end of that calculation. Since the damage AND your flash were flagged as true/"doable", both executed and you flashed, but also died. You can ecnounter this kind of bug in league of legends with other combinations of actions too, it happens pretty rarely though since this period is "only" 0.0333....s long. Again I would like to point out that this is only a theory and could be completely wrong. I studied computer science at a university in germany, and as far as I know this could easily be the case, but the game could also be coded completely different, since I dont have insight in the sourcecode of Leauge I can only theorize about how exactly those bugs happen. Also Im not even sure about those 30 ticks each second, I just read it once somewhere on the internet, it might be coded completely differently. greetings Nicole :)

: Internet connectivity problems
And it happened again. Just trying to reach Platinum right now, maybe even enhancing to diamond this season.... but suddenly my internet provider cut down my internet in order to "test" the connectivity..... without any word of warning in advance. So my internet was dead for about 10 minutes, unfortunately riot implemented this super fancy new system that allowed my teammates to remake the match so I lost the match for just being afk for 10 minutes (without it being my fault!). So I didnt even had the chance to try to win it, i just got this lose for something that i wasnt even responsible for! Unfortunately in germany you are not guaranteed to have a good connection. It is "allowed" for the internet providers to provide you with a laggy anhd slow connection. (Therefore when you want to buy a 16k connection, in the contract it always says: "Up to 16k", so if you get less than that, it will still be legal) How the heck am i supposed to reach diamond when its always me getting punished for the mistakes my internet provider does? Also: Since it happened again... how many "leaves" do i have left until i have to face consequences such as a ban?

: Hello While playing with a poor internet connection, try not to have any other programs open that use Internet connection. Are you using wired or wifi connections? You should troubleshoot by following the [Connection Issues](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752664-Troubleshooting-Connection-Issues) guide. Let me know if it made any changes to you.
Im playing via wire^^ I already close everything except for teamspeak when playing League. I would have high poing even when listening to music on youtube while playing. The problem is, that from time to time our internet provider itself has the problem. While a lot of times i can get a better connection by following the Tips that you just sent, other times it just happens that our connection is just completely dead and we have to wait for our provider to solve the problem. Luckily this happens pretty rarely, so most of the time when getting high ping i can solve the problem. But every now and then i can just call my provider and wait for him to fix it.

: i went with 207 games from Silver II to Diamond5 as a solo {{champion:143}} + {{champion:16}} support. It took me 3 months, as at first as i got placed in Silver 2 i didn't play for several months. so in ~90 days 207 games. i will agree with you, that support is still the least influential possition in the game, you see that also from the fact that various high elo streamers,LCS players, when leveling their smurfs and getting them from unranked to as high as possible, avoid support role as jehovah witness knocking to your door. But still it is possible to do things in the game as support, even in this dynamic queue, where you get premades. Obviously i dont think riot want to add anything else to spot "how good" a player is. even K/D/A can have pretty insignificant correlation with a chance to win.

Im glad you did it to Dia 5 that fast :) But since you made it that fast, did you consider that this ist not your final elo? You might be able to still climb. Also, just because i always have a lot of food in my house, doesnt mean that there is not a problem with starvin people in this world. Just because some players are lucky enough to climb pretty fast, doenst mean that there ist not a problem with the ranking system. I dont think K/D/A is a good indicator on a players skillevel either. But as i said, they could think about the community to rate the players. So after every game you had to rate how "good" the other players were. To prevent troll ratings, your rating will only affect the standing if its within the average of the rest of the community. (So if you always rate someone 0/10 but the rest of your team/enemy team rate hi m 8-9/10 your rating will not affect his standing). This would just be one idea i came up with. Im not a game designer and i definately have no idea which system would be good/better, but i hope by pointing out this problem the game designers at riot games might find a better solution.

: there is no such thing as platinum player stuck in silver lol. He isn't plat player if he is stuck there. > For example, if there is a Platinum player stuck in Silver 2, he would still only has a win rate of like 55-60% maybe. Lets suppose he gets 25LP for a win and he would loose 15 for a loss. Lets also say he can only play 10 games each week. This platinum player would never get to platinum within the whole season. You have failed math there. 52 weeks in a year so about 40 weeks of season and 12 weeks of preseason. With those LP gains and losses, with 50% win rate he would basically gain (25-15)/2 = 5 LP per game. 10 matches per week makes it 40*10= 400 games. 400*5 = 2000 total LP gained, which equals to 2000/100 = 20 divisions (4 tiers) climbed, which then again is equal to from bronze 5 to diamond 5. That was with 50% win rate. now make that 55-60% and you are in or close to master tier. 10 games in a week is totally not hard to manage because it's 1-2 games in a day (that's 1-2 hours). People who play little amount have only themselves to blame if they don't want to use some of their time to play the game. EVERYONE has time for that, they just decide not to use it for that which is their problem. Conclusion: it's easy to climb with tiny amount of games played when it comes to the system. Player skill and other random variables are a different thing. As a side note, It's lose* not loose. You can lose the game. You can let the dogs loose. Or your knot can be loose. :)

He isn't plat player if he is stuck there. Just put it that way: When i was placed in bronze three i was "stuck" there a long time, even though im gold now. What i meant with "stuck" isnt that its impossible to get out, but just takes a realy long time. So i guess a platinum player realy can be "stuck" there. > [{quoted}](name=Doomley,realm=EUW,application-id=39gqIYVI,discussion-id=PwZmMrjN,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2016-07-18T04:53:52.009+0000) > You have failed math there. Well, but the LP gains lower while climbing. When the season started i got like 35LP, and now im only gaining 20LP /win. Also you might not play the Whole 10 matches every week. A few weeks a year you would probably be at vacation. Also you didnt consider the LP Loss wen going through promos. You wont get any LP gain for winning the promo since he will always start at 0LP after winning the promo. But this doesnt realy matter, since the point im trying to make is the following: You are totally right, its always possible to climb to your division, you just have to invest enough time. But thats my whole point: It takes too much time to get to the division someone belongs to. As League is a video game you should be able to just play it whenever/ how often you want, just for fun. You shouoldnt be forced to play X hours before having fun in the game. And thats all i want to point out: Its not fun being stuck in the wrong elo, so in order to have fun playing this game you need to invest a lot of your time. That doesnt make any sense for a game. > [{quoted}](name=Doomley,realm=EUW,application-id=39gqIYVI,discussion-id=PwZmMrjN,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2016-07-18T04:53:52.009+0000) > > As a side note, > > It's lose* not loose. > > You can lose the game. > > You can let the dogs loose. : It doesn't increase your mana regeneration. It just gives you a mana "burst" of 1.5% of your missing mana every 5 seconds.
You are right about that, just tested it out^^ Didnt realize this earlier because Athene's has the same effect, and this is displayed as manaregeneration. Thanks for clearing this up :)
