Same here dude, 3 days already having this problem (mysteriously since they released 6.10). I even formated my PC and installed a fresh copy of Windows and still can't open the launcher. What really annoys me a bit is how the people on the Boards are totally ignoring this trouble. Can someone please tell us what can we do to fix this? I already followed every single guide on the LoL Support page. Until this problem get solved a lot of people can't play the game...

Gladly. By unplayable I mean that most of the time i can't loggin. If I manage to log in, the whole client is blag and takes years to load the articles, friend list, chat, etc. All this while spamming me the unknown error and most of the time can't join games if I'm invited or can't create them myself. I'm from [EUW] and got exactly the same trouble, sometimes i manage to log in, but then i keep getting that error on the client or disconnecting from PvP. If I do manage to get into a game, then I just randomly DC without having any ping issues, I just can't issue order to my champ for like 10s and then it just DC's. My internet seems to be working fine and before patch 6.9 I wasn't having this problem. I hope Riot can adress this problem soon, because I'm not able to play the game anymore.

I'm gettin that one too. Sometimes I manage to login and then i get "Unknow Error" or disconnect from PvP whitout having internet troubles, and can't join games. Sometimes i make it to a game and then i start to dc with a normal ping of 35 ms withou having a lag spike and all of a sudden. I don't know what it is but is reallly stopping me from playing the game. HOpe it gets fixed soon.

Well the reinstalling didn't work at all for me. Still the same. I guess it must be, as you said, a problem with the patch. I just send a ticket to riot support, lets see if they can help us further... I hope they can fix this soon.
