: Hey, I was wondering if prestige firecracker Vayne is part of the prize pool? It is a lunar revel skin after all.

Hey all, I'm afraid Prestige skins are not part of the prize pool. This was an oversight in the original wording - it's any Lunar Revel skin available for purchase directly with RP.

: So ... When you say you're working on stuff that benefits us... What type of stuff do you mean? (If you are at liberty to say of course 😂) What kind of things are you thinking of or working on? Welcome by the way! How are you finding the "non" meta at the moment? Since Jinx is becoming a bit lower priority?
Hey there! :-) Right now I'm overseeing the @uk_riot Twitter account, writing some of the headlines and stuff in the game client (e.g. the Forge of Champions countdown stuff), and then behind the scenes I'm working on lots of less exciting stuff related to marketing and publishing. But if you see a terrible pun in the client or on social media, that's probably me xD Re: the meta - I'm not minding too much because I mostly play in premade normals with other Rioters and we kinda do fun stuff. I can still be fairly relevant on Jinx in those games if we coordinate sensibly. I haven't had time to hit ranked since I joined, but I imagine that would be less forgiving. The one or two games I picked up Trist on I definitely felt weaker. Hopefully they help me out when the next patch hits!

: Spent a couple of years living in the lanes can't say I miss all the noise moved out a bit further now but Brighton is great.
I love Brighton but I am also happy I moved slightly down the coast to Saltdean where it is veeeeery quiet :-D
: So if you edit stuff, then aren't you just going to be able to answer questions about editing? I'm not really sure if you can answer questions like when's the next Kindred skin? Or will you nerf Graves and Xin? Maybe you can answer this question though, for Riot Games, which version of the game is the most important to them, making a game for eSports or for your everyday player?
My responsibilities include writing and editing content, but we're a small team so we all work across a lot of things. I'll probably be involved in pretty much anything related to UK LoL activities or at least have visibility on it :-) I won't be able to answer stuff about upcoming patches, skins, etc - even if I know that stuff through internal channels, it's generally up to Rioters who work on that stuff directly to speak to players about it and I wouldn't want to speak for them without being invited to do so. (Although on a personal level I want them to buff the hell out of Tristana!) With that said, on the question about whether making the game work for esports or regular players, one of Riot's stated goals is to help League become a global sport that lasts for generations, and my understanding of that is that it applies to the whole spectrum of players, making the game appealing for everyone, from someone hard-stuck at Bronze V right up to Faker. Hope that helps!

Okay, then explain me this: Why does Eclipse break Maven when I export my Dynamic Web Project into a war file? And why does javascript calculate '1'+1=11 whereas 1-'1'=0?

I'm pretty sure they won't ask my advice on who to buff or nerf, but if they do then I will tell them to *squints* buff Singed, is that correct?

: Idk if that is just perception bias, but Ive seen lots of UK exclusive League content recently. As I dont see that for every other country of EUW, seems to be as if League UK is cooking their own meal inside EUW. Now obviously there could be totally normal and non-dramatic reasons for this, though I do find it kinda ironic in the face of occuring Brexit.
Riot Games UK is definitely doing UK-focused stuff, but it's also part of a wider Riot Games push to have more dedicated local offices around Europe, e.g. there's a French team in Paris and some other folks. I can't speak to the minute details of the strategy, but it should mean more local content for League players in different countries all around Europe, not just in the UK, although the latter will be my focus :-)

: Add me yourself. I'll accept sometime. I don't usually play too often either but sometimes I do play a lot tho'. Will accept once I log in. (Also I'm not a tryharder so there's that. I don't flame and even if rankeds I must admit I don't try my best. I play for fun)
I'm an old man with terrible mechanics - I'd be more worried about you flaming me ;-)
: Thank you for being so supportive and telling me all this. I'm an overweight teenager too soo... :D but yes, I will try to do something. Sometimes I'm really on a verge of suicide but if you were an overweight teenager and now you are happily married, then I'll give it a chance too. I will try to reach for help.
You're welcome! It will be alright. Add me in League if you like - I don't have enough friends in-game and maybe we can play sometime :-)
: Thank you for this answer :) however I don't bave my own block or anything where to blast music. I will probably get a lot of hate for this, but I'm 17 only and because of that I'm pretty sure noone will take shit what I say seriously. I don't feel like writing any long ass story why I feel so horribly but yeah. I turned 17 yesterday. Most people have it as their happy day(b-day), but for me it's not. I don't know why exactly, but I started feeling a lot worse than usually. No I'm not some typical teenager who goes cries over a failed relationship or something. I for real am depressed. Hell, I don't even think that I deserve love. Even if I have a crush I don't try at all because I don't see myself deserving anything. At night it was very bad. I tried everything, I imagined good things and everything but that shitty feeling still got me. Tried to fall asleep but it took me multiple hours. It's that sick, disgusting feeling which eats you from the inside. It actually feels as if your heart was filled with void. It's that point where you don't even really feel anything and just think about suicide. Right now it's a bit better for me but I still feel horrible and I will try to get some help. I hope that it will be over one day, but what some people tell me is that once you let depression last too long and get it too intense, then it's really really hard to cure. That makes me a bit afraid to be honest :/
Ugh, I'm so sorry. Honestly though, don't believe the people who tell you that depression is a pit you can't escape from. I recognise a lot of what you're saying from times when I was younger, but it is possible to manage it. I went from being a hugely overweight teenager who thought I'd never achieve anything to a healthier adult who is married with kids. If I can do it, anything is possible :-) Something my CBT counsellor said to me once stays with me to this day. Your brain is like a forest, and when you're in a forest you tend to follow the well-trodden path. So if you're used to feeling bad, then feeling bad comes naturally. But you don't *have* to go down that path. And if you find a way to take another path, then keep forcing yourself to take that path, eventually it becomes the new normal, the thing your brain defaults to in future. I really believe that. It sounds like you could really benefit from talking to someone. They will take you seriously (I remember thinking nobody would!) and it has got to be better than struggling alone, right? Have you tried calling the Samaritans or another similar anonymous service? Try googling Mental Health Awareness Week and looking through the sites there. The NHS (I'm in the UK - not sure if you are) also has some good stuff worth checking out on depression and anxiety. Reaching out is not a sign of weakness - it's having the strength to take control, and that can be a huge relief as well. You're not alone though, I promise. When I'm depressed, my brain always wants to think the worst, which sounds a bit like how you feel now, but I promise it can be different. Don't give in to it.
: What do you do when you're depressed.
> [{quoted}](name=Darkest Death,realm=EUW,application-id=2BfrHbKG,discussion-id=BkhNM8OG,comment-id=,timestamp=2017-05-15T08:49:22.170+0000) > > Title. Depression is horrible. I suffer from it too and my heart really goes out to you. When I'm depressed, I feel like I am a worthless fraud and I don't deserve anything good to happen to me. When I'm feeling better, I know that that isn't true. It seems so obvious that it's not true that I can't believe I didn't see it. But this is what depression is for me - it's your brain telling you things that aren't true and fighting you if you try to think otherwise. The absolute best thing I ever did to help manage it was to ask people for help. I went to see a doctor and they were really sympathetic, asked me lots of questions to diagnose my level of depression and anxiety, then helped me choose the best solution. For me that was Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) sessions, but other people take medication or do other things entirely. I know the idea of seeing a doctor (or even leaving the house) can seem impossible when you're depressed, and I put it off for years for this reason - by the time I felt capable of going to the doctor, I felt a bit better anyway so I just didn't - but I cannot recommend it enough. If you can't do that, just talking to people is good. Reaching out on here is good. Often I find that by telling somebody what's going through my head, they can make really good counter-arguments. ("You're not worthless - think about all these good things you do.") And that makes it easier to see depression's lies for what they are and start to climb out of the pit. Exercise is good too, even if it's just walking around the block listening to loud music on your headphones. Your mood is linked to other parts of your behaviour, so forcing yourself to alter those rhythms can disrupt your depression. Ultimately mental illness is like any other illness - you're sick, so the real you is suppressed by your symptoms. In the same way you can't walk when you have a broken leg, you can't think clearly or positively when you're in the grip of depression. But it does get better. Your leg heals and so does the inside of your head. I hope you feel better soon.
