I just plain out mute them and report them in the end. Not that Riot will ban a Diamond player raging and flaming in a normal game anyway. On the other hand, have you tried to play in low Silver recently? If not..then go ahead and try playing a game without muting the entire team. They flame like there's no tomorrow. Especially Bronze 1 players and Silver 5 ones. So /mute all - at the start of the game is good + I don't need the team to tell me stuff, pings are more than enough as well as the mini map.
: >which, of course, I've read it through i hope you did more than read it > but haven't received a single one until 2 weeks or so ago when I got the 10 games chat restriction into the 25 games one and into the 2 weeks ban. well if it's just a two week ban for now, you still have a chance to save it: say nothing offensive! dont harass, dont insult, dont "open mid", dont flame, dont slur, dont spam, dont ask for reports and dont mention muting. you should be ok if you keep it simple, minimal and non inflamatory

Spam played today some normal (since ranked aren't a possibility atm since he's lvl 21) and had a lot of trolls (Most were Gold 3 and 1 players) and I just did my stuff and carried their troll butt, just to report them after the game ended. /mute all is a nice addition to the game, especially in the start of it xD.

: Well.. the funniest way to deal with toxic people, especially flamers... it's to make a passive-agressive comment, no insults, threats or anything needed. Just question their ability to do the opposite of what they tell others, without any form of insulting word added... and make it sound Sarcastic. Tilts them everytime and then they rant on how you deserve to be reported for being "toxic" when you just asked a simple question x'D

Tilts them everytime and then they rant on how you deserve to be reported for being "toxic" when you just asked a simple question x'D And isn't that toxic in itself? I'd call it BM from your side. Provoking toxicity. You should also be punished for creating it, not only the dumb one that bites the dust and starts to flame.
: Funny how you say tyler is a troll but i dont remember you hitting top 10 challenger players, funny isnt it?

: >Even the Bible mentions this side of human nature, telling us about Thomas the Apostle's skepticism. You need to see the crime and the following punishment now and again to believe that... and yet the same book offers no proof that the religion itself is true other than "it says so". don't bring religion into this, ok? >And these words about how you shouldn't care about other people are but a wistful thinking at the very best. how so? i'll stop caring about you as soon as this exchange is over just as i stop caring about the troll from last game as soon as the next one starts
Thanks mate. You're a fun guy. made my evening with your long wall of letters (which, of course, I've read it through) xD. And, since you had to mention it, I'm playing this game since beta as well, but haven't received a single one until 2 weeks or so ago when I got the 10 games chat restriction into the 25 games one and into the 2 weeks ban. It's a bit weird, honestly, that in 8 years I haven't received a single warning, but as soon as patch 7.23 hit, I got my account restricted twice in a week then banned, and my behavior is exactly the same, it didn't change one bit from how I was back in 2009 when I started playing the beta version of it and now.
: I feel toxic. Do you?
Mate, that was a very long wall of words but I'm 100% on your side on this one. Why? My main just got banned for 2 weeks after I had a banter with my premade and scolded a troll in a normal game. 2 weeks I got banned for, after I reformed, twice in a row, even being honored every single game, win/lose, 2x honors at least, I still got the ban whilst the troll who afk farms jungle, intentionally feeds the enemy and trash talks the team walks away scot free. And here's my wall of words to accompany yours xD: Yes, the system is corrupted at its roots. The very champions that we are playing are either very toxic (Darius "get foul") or perverted (Eve "Death is such a turn on") but having this example in our faces they still punish us not they themselves, who actually deserve it. Moreover, the punishment system is flawed. Why? Simple. It's a program that "learns" from players: 1. A player said that saying "ggez" at the end of the game is BM, thus the program considers that to be toxic, when it's just friendly banter. 2. A player said that asking someone to stop int'ing is rude and that HE considers that to be an act of harassment so the program thinks it's a toxic thing to say. 3. A player said that asking the team and everyone else to report a player is considered online bullying and harassment thus the program considers it to be toxic. The toxic players taught the program, which is toxic in itself. A program can NEVER replace a HUMAN, as a program will NEVER have a consciousness nor be able to recognize banter from actual toxicity from aiding someone to improve in the game. Thus, the Riot method of "removing" toxicity is actually doing the contrary and it's creating even more toxicity. Example out of my experience in the last 2 weeks: 2 weeks ago I've bought exp boosts to start leveling up like crazy so I can get the required BE to buy UrfWick Skin. 3 days later I get a 10 days chat restriction. I make a ticket but the supporter said that it's perfectly fine and that the punishment won't be lifted, yet the punishment was stupid. I said to myself "okay, let's do this. I was honor level 4 so I can go with a chat restriction and improve myself" and so I finish those 10 games and then the loot restriction is lifted 1 day later. But 5 days later I get chat restricted again, this one, I agree, was with reason and I deserved it. I did get depressed as not being able to comm with the team wasn't that great and it was utterly hard to play ranked like that but I've done so. I finished those 25 games about 3 or 4 days ago, maybe more. Ever since I finished the chat restriction I get honored after EVERY SINGLE game. Win, loss, it didn't matter, as I was ALWAYS receiving "friendly" and "shot-caller" honors as well as "tilt-proof", but mostly friendly + 1 of the other. But, about 2 hours ago, after a game where we tried hard to win it and me and my premade had a friendly banter and well, I scolded the jungler who was doing nothing but troll, afk, int, mock, provoke (can't mute that...) and flame (muted that) I get banned. He walks away scot free....I had reformed. I've read the chat logs over and over again. I gave them to people I hardly know and we all came to the same conclusion: We all saw a maybe chat restriction, but definitely not a ban as those chat logs are not ban worthy. Yes, sure, in 1 game I was very rude and aggressive to the support but towards the end of the game he/she did what I told him/her to do and it went better, but we still lost due to having a toplaner troll (unpunishable action - so go ahead folks, troll all you want, Riot bans the ones flaming). In that game I didn't write a flame word, not even 1 single hard flame word towards my team, unless "garbage build" is the same a f*****g or sh*t, which normally isn't. The game ends, the support (Morgana) thanks me for the hints I gave her into how to build the champion in the support role and even honors me. Second game, I get the troll hard jungler who stated that he doesn't care since it's only a normal game, so he afk farmed jungle, comes near a TF to drop his R or Q (Graves) to get the kill then leave, goes 1v1 when on 20% hp to die, or 1vMany to die, flames, sits afk in base @ fountain/shop, flames me and the toplaner (my premade) with whom I was having a banter as friends usually do. he gets scolded by me, no effect, he flames me back so I mute him telling him "Enjoy your report for flaming, inting, afk farming and trolling" - basically me flaming, but I'd say aggressive chat. Game ends, we lose since Graves wasn't with us when we actually needed him, he was farming jungle, so we're in post game chat where he calls me a "stupid kid", tells me to grow up and many more flames directed straight at me as well calmly saying "reported brat" before leaving; I get, once again, honored by 2 players and 10 minutes later I'm receiving a message telling me that I got banned and to log out and back in to see why. basically, trolling, inting, afking, mocking, is supported by Riot. being a good guy isn't, since I got banned and he didn't even receive a chat restriction and he's doing this since so long.... ruining the game for others...and Riot cares of banning people that are either trying to be nice and help others improve, or the ones that are stupid enough to actually waste their time and WRITE flames and insults towards another person/player on the Internet in an online game, flames that can be muted by pressing and the left clicking on 1 button. Basically, the system is flawed and they keep improving the flaws inside it. They started to remove and replace the supporters that weren't properly doing their jobs, which is a start, as that was also annoying enough when you wrote a ticket for a problem and were receiving a copy & paste answer and the ticket closed and marked as "solved". Now they should move to the trolls and inters. Yes, I agree, they can't do that the lazy way, by using a program, but humans are also good at doing that, and I'm 100% sure that there are players who'd do this for free, just to get rid of the ones that are provoking and creating the toxicity. And don't ask, but I won't tell the name of my account. Since "naming and shaming" policy and I also managed to get that one banned permanently on the forums about 2-3 years ago for being plain stupid. But I grew up. I'm much more mature than I was back then and I ain't asking for the lifting of the ban on that account as it's very well deserved. but the in-game ban isn't deserved at all and that one should actually be lifted.
GLurch (EUW)
: The system isn't supposed to simply remove toxic players, it's supposed to reform people. Their whole system follows this purpose (the only exception are permanent bans). >Instead of restricting the chat it would be better to restrict that player to play the game for a certain amount of time. Basically just remove the chat restriction games and go straight to account bans for 7 days, 14 days and so on. Chat Restriction is already great. 75% of the players getting chat restricted don't get a punishment ever again. I don't think there's any need to remove that. Also 7 day bans are rather... ineffective compared to 14 day bans (which Riot found out while experimenting a bit with warnings, 3 day bans, 7 day bans and 14 day bans). ######Sources: [Click me](http://en.volu-eu.org/pbkb_general_user_view.php?art=11), [Click me as well C:](http://en.volu-eu.org/pbkb_general_user_view.php?art=12) >What I've thought of adding and talked it over with a few high elo friends which agreed with me is to demote players that are toxic, inting and trolling in ranked games. 1 - 2 division up to 1-2 ranks and then perma. This should calm down some of the spirits of the famous Tyler1 that lurks around the game. Isn't this already happening without Riot doing anything? Toxic players focus less on games (or on themselves) and thus lose more. There are always these tooltips and one of them says "Did you know that players who follow the summoners code win 27% more games?" Of course, this would speed up the process of these players dropping. However, I think this would make players who don't play ranked get punished not as harsh as players who do play ranked. Ruining the fun is always equally bad, no matter where you're doing it, so I don't think distinguishing between the two would be a good start. >And another thing that should be solved are the web sites that are selling level 30 accounts. I've personally met a few players that had like 10+ perma banned accounts and were still very toxic and when asked or threatened with report they calmly said that they'll buy a new one (account) if this one gets banned which is like a free get out of jail card @ monopoly.... You can literally sell accounts on E-Bay. Is E-Bay at fault? According to their Terms of Use, no, the person selling these accounts there is at fault. And that's where it gets tricky: How will Riot catch them? Sure, there are people putting their name and everything in the description of these accounts, but there are some clever enough to not give away their information. I do agree Riot needs to do more, but even then, they probably won't be able to solve this problem anytime soon.
Yes true. Or there's also a thing that I saw on Titan Fall. They created a server where they move every single toxic and cheating player so that they can play with each other and against each other. But not too sure if Riot would ever think of this one. Though am kind of sure that after spending a few months on such a server you will be reformed by force, since I doubt it that anyone would like it to play there at all xD.

Or try new champions in normal games :)? I don't think that's a part of the summoners code, get ur things together. Trying =/= trolling. Get your stuff together buddy. Surrendering a won game for your own pleasure isn't fun for the other members of the team. And I was referring to that. Try champs, sure, but do bother to read them before playing them as I highly doubt it that you're challenger or even master to be able to grab a champ you've never played before and do good in a game. And while saying this, I think that I'm saying it on behalf of 90% of LoL playerbase.
: The surrender option in ranked
It's mostly because of streamers. They watch challengers and diamonds that literally say "we can ff now - this botlane is so stupid" and related garbage. Do try and remember the "open mid" fiesta that happened not so long ago and came from streamers, same thing here.

Go and play in sandbox mode. You can practice there without bothering anyone. testing champion mechanics, troll, even freely flame and be as toxic as you want to and you won't bother anyone, unless you actually enjoy breaking the summoner code and ruining the games and maybe the day for other players for your own weird and odd pleasure.

Some tried their best to win the game and some trolls come and destroy it by surrendering. I reported all 4 of them for "Intentional Feeding" with the note that they voted to surrender a won game as a premade, not to add that all 4 were troll pinging all over the place making me mute their pings as well as 2 of them for being very toxic and 1 for directly mocking me in team chat. > You don't lose LPs in normal But you lose time instead, which is basically the same. Sure, losing is improving, but losing a won game because 4 have a very off and weird humor is not improving, but instead is actually tilting. > > Seeing your ennemies reaction after that is the funniest part How about making fun and disrespecting your other team members that aren't part of your premade? You can go as a 5 man premade, so why not do it? This type of behavior, in my humbly honest opinion, is more toxic than someone flaming, spamming pings or intentionally feeding and it should be directly punished with a ban. > I often ask to surrend normal games right before destroying the ennemy nexus, all your friends think is funny and your ennemies get a greater mood > None of my friends fine this to be fun at all. Sure, the enemies get a greater mood, but your team gets a garbage mood instead. I had teams surrender before like this and it made me wonder why as well as feel like crap as I didn't deserve to win that game at all.

: I think the problem is that most of the players already are level 30 and you'll either get smurfs or bots. Riot doesn't give a shit about that, their only concern is F L A M E R S.
Sadly I tend to agree with you. I did have a gold and silver player in my games but they weren't talking at all, they were playing and that's it. Others feed for the fun of feeding and losing the game costing other players precious time, as not all of us can spend 12+ hours per day playing this game. Why isn't Riot concerned about those players as well?
