: Frames Drop During games
Myself and 3 other friends have the same issue. One of thems system is not the greatest, which is kinda understandable, but the other 3, myself included, have quite beasty systems, so it has absolutely no reason to fps drop at all. All started on Patch 9.19. So please Riot...

: Region's files
Well for those looking for a workaround, i copied my EUW and NA files to 2 different folders. I then made shortcuts to both of them. I also just keep a backup so that when my client decides to change region for no reason (it has happened a couple of times this month) i can just copy the files back instead of downloading it again. Hope this helps {{sticker:slayer-jinx-wink}}

LoL bru the worst is when the whole town's power goes out because the pricks here are stealing electricity and overloads the system, AND our authorities are too scared to do anything about it... But i understand what you are getting to. Why do you need to redownload files when you are swapping from EU (English) to NA (English). I can understand if it needs to download other language packs, but Eng-Eng?? I mean, I have accounts on EUW and NA, but every time i swap regions I have a 4GB download? For real?

: > Is it because I'm suddenly exposed to better skilled players that knows how to abuse their advantage? Most likely not. They just abuse your lack of awareness and skills in positioning. This is good time to learn positioning because now the game shows you its importance. If you learn positioning now, you can position in any meta.

Same here. I wonder if it will stop when you tick the close client while playing. I will test it out next time and report on it. It still needs to get fixed though, but if there's a workaround, it'll do for now.

: Man i follow all the guides, don't feed, play safe and everything. I got around 600 wins over s5 to 7. I am still Bronze5. Play just for the fun, there is no way out of Bronze for the normal people - unless you play 12 hours learn all the champ and dedicate your life to the game. Which you should not anyways.
I enjoy the game too much to just play it for fun. I really want to take it further.
: Need help getting out of bronze thinking
Just to add, I started LOL when Vel'Koz got released and I played the game as casual as can be. I was still very into racing games back then when I had free time. I only started thinking about ranked in S5 (those were the days I weren't afraid of any midlaner and actually knew how to lane against them), took it a little more seriously in S6 but played support mostly with my gold friend playing on my brother's account. I only had 2h to play in the week and 4h on weekends this past 2 years and it isn't going to change much in the near future. So I am but a seedling trying to sprout and will take in any nutrients given by you "high trees". I don't want to be boosted to a rank, mmr, whatever, I want to earn it. Those giving me advice, even if you are hitting me a blood nose, it teaches me where to improve. It is much appreciated. PS: I live in South Africa. I play on 200ms, but I've seen other South Africans in diamond, so I know it's doable. That's what I'm aiming for, not the rank, the skill.

: I have no idea where to start. You have stated multiple contradictions already. You can't wait for your team so you engage without them with ad tank kata?? At least ap kata could take some ppl down and punishes mistakes much harder. There are less one shot champs than there have ever been in league. AP champs have been nerfed so much over time, you have no clue what you are talking about. Only Syndra can be argued about, which isn't that bad of a match up for kata due to her mobility. How can kata be afraid of tryndamere. If you play it properly he can't land 1 auto on you unless you decide to take one. Turret pushing with kata?? How is that even possible. Just work on your own mistakes. There is so much for you to learn and improve on. You can play kata with abyssal and zhonya if you want to build her tankier.
Noted. Will definitely give it a go. No they are there, but no one is doing anything. We did have engagers, Riven and Thresh, but I initiated fights by slipping in and out and then back in again. Most of them we won. I've never AAd so much with Kata ever since I started playing her XD What I'm asking is in broader term though, not just champ specific. Turret pushing is not the problem, it's the fact that others could, but are not doing it. By me doing it, it shows how much time they had to do something, but didn't. I'm not going to go into details and try to describe the situation, the fact is that I want to take objectives whenever it is possible, but my teammates don't always understand it. So I then go and get a slow push going at least or take the turret at most. The ones I am referring to are Syndra, Lux (if you get caught in Q and forget to Zhonya), Annie, and Viktor and Fizz with a few items. I have never really had a problem with them when I still played mid often, but I am honest in saying that I am lane opponent stupid at the moment, so everyone feels too strong for me, but I'm doing my best to learn as quick as possible. Thanks for the advice and criticism/points of faults. I don't mind being hit up the chin. If i want to improve I must be willing to take punches when they're dished out (o~,)
: Here's how to get out: -Blame your team. -Forget about last hitting minions, it's not important. -Kill the buffs only as jungle and don't bother warding enemy jungle. -Gank every so often but not too much so your laners expect it, remember you're not their mom don't help them 24/7. -If someone starts an argument with them, recall to the fountain to have a more focused debate instead of focusing on your game-role. -Remember to focus tanks first -Towers/Baron aren't important if the enemy team goes for them just go sit next to minions as they die to soak up xp.
Does it actually work? XD Been there, done that, got the T-shirt, but still stayed in Bronze. Maybe it's because I didn't base and engage in the argument I wonder....

: You make way too many mistakes as well. Also, except for the lux one, which seems to be OK, every other build is horrendous! Bronze is a division where you can still impact the game so much that you can decide the game yourself. You just don't know how. If you'd get a rabadon after gunblade instead of a triforce, you'ld be such a devastating monster in bronze. Katarina's ratio's are insane. Yet you spend almost 4k gold on a garbage item for Kata. If you look up guides, coaching sessions and such on YouTube etc you can improve massively. I would say your understanding on the fundamentals and basics of the game is EXTREMELY lacking. Just grasping and executing on these basics will get you to gold. Hope this helps, good luck.
This triforce build actually works quite well for me, specially during laning as I can trade a lot easier. It gives me more damage on my AAs that it actually catches them off-guard. I saw this build in one of Phylol's videos about soneone doing it in Challenger (https://youtu.be/9lLtXPsv9PY). Now I know I'm not almost there, as I said, I have to relearn so many things that I once knew, but this triforce tanky-build let's me engage and stay alive long enough to do more damage as I normally just get blown up. I don't have the patience to wait for my team, if I see an opportunity, I'm going for it (that's thanks to playing so much supp and Leo kinda is my go to supp). If you say that rather going to learn the AP route is better, then I'll try and get used to it. I once was good with Katarina. I have a good AP build that worked like a charm. She's the main reason why I didn't quit the game when I was still at level 16 or so. I got my ass kicked so hard, but she seemed so fun to play. Now, with all these one shot champs, I really struggle, but again, I barely played mid this year, mainly support, so I have no idea how to lane anymore. In this last one I played I ended up 15-6-13 against a very fed Tryndamere and all the cc in the world, and this build gave me the confidence to go balls to the wall and fight, leading the rest of the team into battle, but we lost due to being picked off 1 by 1. I had the situation again where 2 turrets were open for the taking, but no-one seemed to care. I was calling it like crazy and pushed it myself until I thought that Tryndamere was about to arrive and recalled (he never caught me though). I'll search up videos about the fundamentals etc. There are a few things I'm really trying to improve, 2 of which are CS and AA cancelling with the latter really costing me a lot (I literally cancel attacks, not just the animation).

: > I am playing ranked to improve, not so much to climb This is good, really good actually. The only problems with this is that you're playing to improve **in bronze**. I mean none of this in an offensive way, but trying to improve and fix mistakes while playing with and against bad players isn't very efficient because they don't punish bad habits and mistakes. What is the case for some people is that their normal game mmr is higher than their ranked mmr which means that while being bronze they often face higher silver and gold players, which makes those games a better learning experience. If that isn't the case for you, you may have a higher ranked friend you can queue up with. Although rank doesn't affect normal game mmr, he'll probably still have a decently high mmr anyways because it's still around his skill level. Not only will this create harder games, he may be able to guide you through them aswell. This is how I think is the best way to improve when facing bad players in your ranked games. But i'm no expert and i've never been in bronze myself so I can't say for sure if it works. You definitely have the right mentality to climb already so just focus on yourself and winning lane every game and eventually you'll get there, learning macro play in bronze is probably one of the most impossible things there is.
I have a friend in gold that I normally face in 1v1 whenever we get the chance, but holy crap am I getting a spanking! I don't know whether that is good enough or whether I should rather play with them in a normal game. It's just that she is too good, you know, the level difference is so big that you actually don't enjoy it or really learn anything from it. It's quite difficult now as well as she is content to improve her rank, so she doesn't really play with me much. I'll keep it in mind. Thanks
: Need help getting out of bronze thinking
Thanks for the insight. Communication-wise, I always ping what I'm doing, even if I'm going back to base. I've gotten too used to putting myself at risk as support baiting them, so I guess my positioning needs a lot of work, but yeah, the times when I'm behind my frontline at the tips of my range, the enemy frontline, not even sleeky assassins and gap closers, just stroll past them and attack me. I mean, stuff like that really makes you feel that no matter what you do, you still end up dying meaningless. I don't quite understand what you meant by I'm out of bronze thinking? Is it the fact that I said that I am trying to find the problem within myself, i.e. not having that "my teammates are idiots and I deserve challenger" mindset? If that's what you meant, thank you for the compliment, but my in game thinking is most probably very flawed and that's what I'm trying to rectify, especially micro decisions and mechanics wise.

: It was a hit, with Blackfrost Anivia is harder to see, because the explosion of the Q seems smaller than it actually is, if you take a look at Anivia's abilities in the new client you will see that the radius of the Q's explosion is bigger than it seems, so the Anivia that stunned you, was really lucky because she hit you at the edge of the hit box, but in my opinion, it was a clean hit.
OK thanks. I'll keep it in mind next time I face her. Another lesson learnt ^^

: recruitment for DGL
Hi there I would love to be part of a team and start taking the game more serious. I was going to participate this year, but misread the rules about international players (since my friends i normally play with are all Europeans). Anyway, I'm ranked Silver 3 and I mainly play bot lane. I can play the other remaining lanes, though I'm not particularly good in it (thanks to circumstances I always ended up playing bot lane for most of the year). Champion pool: -ADC: Jinx, Ashe, Tristana, Vayne -Supp: Janna, Leona, Braum, Zilean, Nami, Lulu, Sion, Karma, Ekko, Katarina, Morgana, Sona, Vel'Koz -Mid: Katarina, Ekko, Zed, Akali, Vel'Koz, Lulu, Zilean, Annie -Jung: Sion, Master Yi, Poppy, Lulu -Top: Lulu, Zilean, Cho'Gath Although I'm accustomed to bot lane, I enjoy mid the most and would really like to expand my champion skills and pool there, but I am open to play wherever needed.

I had a few games in team ranked, but that fell through the floor. The only other team play I had is when we played as premade 5, but 2 of us were teaching the other 3 most of the time as they have very little experience due to time restrictions (work, family, etc).

I'm sitting with the same problem. I might have a 6 year old pc, but believe me it can still play a lot of today's games on high graphics if not full. My brother is running i5 2500k and has these random lags (fps drops). I recorded a lot of my games before 5.5, but I can't even play the game smoothly now without recording it.
