I admit when Riot announced the change i was hopefull the quest passive would remain, but i understand why it had to go, in the end it was a powerfull quest reward and both rewards can't exist. Yes but they are 2100/2400 gold for a passive I used to build out of my original items anyway. Far more expensive than the sightstone was. Also with regards to your passive generation, with 2 of the items, the gold income is not steady or reliable. Ancient coin in theory only has the most reliable income and at the moment its fairly useless otherwise.

I am honestly getting so tired of people saying "You should be able to carry yourself out of x y or z if you're good enough." The truth of the matter is... I know I am not a great player. But ever season I have consistently hit around Gold III. When you are only around a mid gold elo, trying to carry yourself out of Silver is bloody hard at the moment. I've spoken to a lot of people, played with Plat III-I level players who are also stuck in silver at the moment. All of us have the same complaint: The lowest skilled player has far more impact on the game than the highest skilled player. I feel the problem with this is, we all have bad games, but because you impact is so much more when you're playing badly, people flame you more and start becoming more toxic. Its exacerbating so many problems at the moment, and generally making the game less enjoyable.

: Matchmaking in normals (Be patient!)
There is match making in this game. That much is evident from ranked. The problem I am having is how normal que has a completely separate matchmaking system from ranked. Essentially a diamond could be placed with the skill bracket of a bronze.

: If there's any kind of link between your ranked MMR and your normal MMR, then normal games would become redundant because that's just another ranked game. Normal games have their own MMR (I'm only reading the TL;DR) I have 500 wins and 500 losses in normals so my match making is around Silver 2 I'm Platinum 2 I don't play normal games seriously so I think the justification is fine, I often lose my normals more than win them anyways lol
To some degree this is why I suggested a "soft link". I.e. If you're diamond I, make your Normals MMR Plat III or something along that lines. The theory is if you are diamond level, your mechanics and knowledge of the game give you an advantage anyway. (Something I explained in the large blurb above). As I have said in the large blurb, often I feel this exacerbates the toxicity already in league. You get rekt and flamed. Which in turn makes you salty and makes me stop playing normals, and switch to ranked for a casual game as such.
