Seriously you can't do anything about it other than remain focused. There is no secret shortcut, it is what it is.
: Azirs Q is a skill shot. Azirs escape is also a skill shot, granted not necessarily always used in that sense. On top of that, you can use it to practice farming, or learning to play from behind (it's a skill a lot of people seriously lack these days). Unless you're 100% win rate with a perfect KDA, there's always room for things you could do better and practice on.
No he doesn't have skillshots 5head totally not joking lol.
: Focus on what _** I **_ can do better. Use the time to finess landing skill shots, or CSing. Basically use the time to improve in something that you know you need space to improve on. A loss isn't really a loss if you walk away from it learning something :).
But I play Azir. Azir doesn't have skillshots 4head.
: "All I want is for people to try in ranked is that really so selfish and too much to ask for when the mode is kinda there to be taken seriously?" yes it's extremely selfish to think that people were raised properly and to expect things from them riot is not a parent and how players act in game is not their job to control they can only enact punishments to those players As a famous movie quote "Sorry Mam we would have come sooner but your husband wasn't dead then" EDIT: As i read my reply it sounds kinda rough but i am being sympathetic as i also have this naive desire from people. I just want to help you understand that what you want won't happen and the best you can do is remove yourself from that behavior and only focus on yourself. Because it has been proven every time that the only way to climb in SOLO Q is by being a SOLO player Being the leader, facilitator, team player will just frustrate you more and more with time.
Alright at least now I know you were trying to be sympathetic. I will try that it's just kinda tough cause it's like every time my team falls behind they act like all is over but funnily enough since I am an Azir otp I know better than pretty much anyone else that it's only over when the nexus is falling. And giving up on my boi Azir is a no go.

: leave them to grief , bring in Riot attention the cases they grief , or where they stoped to have anymore interest in winning or doing them best for winning a game ,and they will probably get banned ,if that's not a case ... , notice them names in notepad , with the date you played with and hour ,and after every such games download replay , if they don't get banned you can appeal riot support team as they anyway boring over there giving automatic messages. I one was like you time of 4 years , i got permanent banned 8 months ago for threats against a troller ,just because i sayd to him that i submit replay to support , explain much in what world we live , so rather than getting banned for anything , don't procced to do you justice , let Riot solve them own shit , if you feel like this problem persists and you are annoyed about start a new board topic , or play another game ,you have where to choose from in nowadays ,there are better free competitive games ,or payed competitive games who outplay what Riot don't succed to achieve and which they don't care about.
okay I'll just continue to try then. And hope for the best

What do you mean? I take it seriously
: player behavior =/= matchmaking someone going 0/10 =/= bad matchmaking you are not playing vs bots nor with bots if you can do well your allies and your enemies can do well if you can have a bad game your allies and your enemies can have a bad game the problem with the matchmaking isn't a problem it's your own childish and selfish views on the system
Look again I understand when people have bad games but when they go 0/10 and then have the audacity to say "gg it's over" this has nothing to do with bad games anymore. He mentally already gave up which is exactly the problem. I just tried to queue again after taking a much needed break and you know what happened? In champ select my supp locked in Fizz then wrote "I thinked I was mid" and when I tried to say "then dodge" he responded with "no I troll" obviously I dodged. i just tried to convince him to do it first. yeah REAL childish of me....I would have even given him mid problem was I was first with picking so I picked my main champ because he didn't say anything. I am just trying to say this stuff happens every other game, which honestly it shouldn't. I understand that I might not be looking at this objectively but can you really blame me? It's kinda hard keeping your composure when something like this happens. All I want is for people to try in ranked is that really so selfish and too much to ask for when the mode is kinda there to be taken seriously?

: Friend, there are a bunch of youtube channels that coach for free on any role. My advices are. •1. Mute all. The chat is useless in general cause nobody types anything worth reading unless you're in diamond and even then not always. It is a destructing and pretty much pointless feature nowadays since pings are all you need in order to communicate. Just mute, not everyone will do it but at least you, should. Don't let anyone destruct you. •2. Pay attention to your minimap. Knowing where your opponent is heading is a key factor to all stages of the game. •3. Stay in one role. Don't change your roles constantly to fill the gaps of the previous game. •4. Champions. Your champion pool should consist of 3 champions, learn 3 champs on your 2 roles. Also don't fill the gap of your team with a champion that you're inexperienced with. For example you're jg and your team lucks AP don't go Evelyn if you don't know how she works, it's better to play the champions that you know rather than experiment on Ranked. •5. Avoid bad lobbies. If it is clear that you will lose the game from the start it is better to dodge the queue and lose 3 lp rather than risk losing 17+ lp. •6. Download Blitz. It approved by Riot so it is not a ''3rd party program'' It allows you to see your team mates info such as if they play their main, if they are on a losing streak, if they have negative win rate, their Rank etc. •7. Don't spam games when in a losing streak. If you lose 2+ Ranked games in a row stop there. Play normals or make a second account and practice there. The strategy that pro players follow is that they have multiple accounts to constantly practice at all Ranks. A challenger player will climb on an account to plat then stop, climb on another account to diamond then stop and climb on another to master and so on till they have to go back to the first (that is no plat) and climb 1 rank above as well as the rest. (You're not a challenger but you can follow the same strategy) •8. Duo. Consider playing pre made with someone that you have a good synergy with. Makes the game less stressful cause you have each others back. I'm not any high ranked player, I'm just a G1 struggling on promos to plat. But these are the key factors. Good luck on the Rift.
lol I am gold 2 just deranked to gold 3 I basically do everything you said except not spam games when on losing streak because it's tough to not want to get that RP back but I always use Blitz constantly, try to duo as much as possible with a person that I know and most likely either ignore the chat or sometimes even mute. : If they are already 2 items in then you expect to die if they catch you, and yes there are items to make it harder to dodge but that means investing gold in to making that happen and both of those items give damage stats, so lowering the base won't really prevent that outcome
You also take glacial Augment which costs 0 gold and does something similar
Rioter Comments
Cypherous (EUW)
: Problem is it is LITERALLY the solution, skillshots are meant to do lots of damage because they take skill to land, or a lack of skill on the enemy to dodge, in this case it really is a "git gud" scenario, she does no damage if you dodge
Sorry for the late reply but if you literally LITERALLY take glacial augment and build hextech glp into twin shadows it removes the counterplay of dodging and champs like Neeko, Veigar, Ahri etc. Can land FREE skill shots on you because they have perma slows. This literally devalues the argument of dodging as it is nigh impossible for a veigar that has at least 1 brain cell to miss his cage on you. Also Veigar ult can one shot you at a certain point and it's no skill shot either so yeah...that's that
Cypherous (EUW)
: Dodging is still going to be your best bet
Yes but it's not really a good counter option. When you tell someone "just dodge the skillshot" that's about as helpful as somebody screaming "I'm pissing in the middle of the street!"
Cypherous (EUW)
: I found your problem and found you a solution https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8alIxvD1sr8
Yeah yeah you're really funny....I have a problem with her freakishly high base damage. She is supposed to scale not be a lane bully that zones me from cs as Azir. And don't get me started on toplane she bullies you even harder. All I want is her early to be a little weaker so you can actually win trades against her
Tarolock (EUNE)
: because if you fart louder she dies? she is squishy as hell
great but problem being she has such high base damage in the early game. She is a burst mage like lux but not even lux could kill me at level 6 with a full combo when I am full hp as Azir
: those aren't base stats

: i'm afraid you can't counter any champion with any champion. you can become good as master yi or jax but you will always struggle against a rammus. My suggestion was more on the line of "getting to know their range", for camille, i used her to kinda figure out how far she could jump, or how far would yasuo's tornado go. azir is quite static for a champion so guys like yasuo or orianna have it pretty easy. my advice is to do custom bot matches, after you figured out a basic strategy go on and play him against people. you won't win 100% but you will slowly improve :) also, try to learn more champions (don't know what you usually play) and add to that list someone that counters orianna or yasuo (more orianna as yasuo is banned quite often) I wish you the best of luck {{sticker:slayer-jinx-catface}}
: ok, i'm not an azir player or an orianna player but i came to realize that actually trying the champion you are having problems against helps a lot. i don't mean this as an insult, mind you, it's an honest suggestion, i used to have a lot of problems against yasuo and camille, then i bought them and used them (even a practice tool or a bot match will do). after a few games, i figured out what they couldn't do and what i should do to fight them properly. You can even go one step further and make a custom match with you playing azir against an orianna bot (beginner first, then intermediate) just to get a hold of what you should or shouldn't do against her in a consequence-free environment. I know this isn't as helpful as straight up telling you how to counter her, but i hope it helps {{sticker:slayer-jinx-catface}}
hm...thanks but sadly I have to say that trying a champ out for myself that I constantly struggle against doesn't always help. For exampleI played a bit of yasuo yet I always struggle against him as Azir even though the mathup itself should be relatively okay. It's good to understand the enemy champs aswell but after that it comes down to skill and knowledge. I'll still try it though.

: the only way is to duo , but practice and knowing your champion's abilities could help too , I used to face a lot of losing streaks and it made me depressed a little , the community didn't help either but I hope I offered you a logical solution , playing with a premade who can lower the chances of your losing games can help .
Thankfully I found someone who kind of shares the same interest in league as I do only problem being is that he isn't that willing to practice learn his own matchups etc. I don't mind soloq. In fact I really like it but what I have to work on is my ranked anxiety. It makes me waay to worried about LP, my rank, how I preform etc.
: Heya, Don't overthink it. Forget about your rank, it doesn't matter at all. The only thing that matters is your own skill level. There will be games that are simply unwinnable and you can't do anything about it no matter how good you are. I demoted from D4 to Plat 1 this season after going on a massive losing streak and went all the way to Plat 2 0 LP before climbing back up to Diamond. Just focus on improving and playing better, winning isn't everything. The only games I feel bad about are the ones where I played badly, regardless if I won or lost them. Something that might help you is to remember that you're not playing for a rank or a division. You're not playing for gold or platinum or diamond or whatever. You're playing to get better and once you get better, the LP will come.
Oh thanks! That did help me a bit. I always forget to play to learn and not to win. I constantly mindlessly grind even though I know I should take a step back and think: "maybe I should look at my replays and see what could I have done better" or "what would have been the right call"

: If you are cowering, you lost by default. First of all you can break his shield with AA, even through Windwall. That's step 1. Then it's being the bully. You either wait for him to go aggressive or be proactive and go aggressive on him (depends entirely on the Yasuo player, some also play like little _[insert scientific name for a female dog in plural form here] and others permanently aggressive). Then it depends on whenever you're ahead or behind, since after one or two items you most likely won't have enough stats to fight him straight on. PS. Screw the crab.

I do agree with screw the crab it's been naughty and deserves no attention >:c. On a serious note though but it really only works really early like pre 6 when minions do a lot more work but what do I do after that? trying to punish or getting his passive shield off him could potentially kill you depending on how good the yas player is. I am just a smol bird why he have to beat me up :c
: Oh yeah thats basically 90% of my lost games xD.
I feel you :'c. jokes aside I do like Azir and over the course of around 160 games I have a 56 percent wr on him so it's quite solid I do find some success in playing him and honestly he isn't THAT bad, just saying. I could play Akali Talon, Syndra or Zed but not only would I have to learn the champs but CARRY with them. a Talon falls off hard in late game, Zed is hard to pilot just like Azir so I'd have to play lots of games and either spam normals which I consider quite boring in comparison or play him in ranked and suck hard which is also not really attractive. Syndra could be fun but I've heard she isn't what she used to be anymore and honestly with all the yasuos Zeds Akalis ( high mobility champs ) I think I would struggle a lot more. And Akali while my second most played and second most favorite champ post rework, she just gets nerfed way to often it's honestly not fun and makes me cri everi tiem {{item:3070}}
: That basically sums up league of legends XD We do play different roles tho azir wouldn't be considered a good champ for carrying unlike champs i play e.g. master yi, kayn, kha'zix, vi etc.
yeah you are kinda right it's tough but he isn't completely useless when behind like a yi I still got my ult and I can take exhaust for big threats. You probably had those games where the enemy team just gets crazy ahead early and you can't do anything or at least I hope so and then they proceed to flame the jungler lol
Vistha Kai (EUNE)
: >actually he can block the q portion of the dash actually he can block the q portion of the dash You didn't read my first comment, did you? >plus I just brought the windwall up because it pissed me off that people forget it like it's an autowin for Azir Considering that Windwall doesn't make any of Azir's abilities actually fizzle, just stop prematurely, he has it much easier than most champions.
okay I actually read it just completely missread what you wrote sorry. I thought Azir e and not yasuo e well sure but that is almost never the case he always has some and usually if the Yasuo knows he can't kill me because I'm playing like a %%%%% all lane he roams and guess what every time I ping mia like 5 times and somehow he still manages to get kill afterwards I get flamed for not following when I am pushed under turret. What is the right way to play against him then? Literally sit under turret and let him get lane prio. Would not be so bad if the jungler would understand that I am being pushed I can barely help him at scuttle.
Vistha Kai (EUNE)
: I spoke about Windwall, because that was literally your only argument why Azir isn't good against Yasuo. His E becomes useless if he doesn't have minions to use it on, therefore the answer is "placement". Also you can have more than one Soldier up. Not to mention he can't Windwall during E, so you can still ult him then to prevent him from pulling off a combo outside of 3rd Q. Definitely Exhaust.
actually he can block the q portion of the dash as far as I know plus I just brought the windwall up because it pissed me off that people forget it like it's an autowin for Azir
: But that's like asking why you can't win super early on Kayle. If your problem is that you don't get to scale, Azir is just the wrong pick. Better take champions with strong early
hm how about no? he can work just fine and unlike kayle you CAN in fact do something earlier into the game, Sure what should I pick then? not like I am an Azir otp so I kinda have to play him. Could play Talon but everytime I do the game drags on forever and I fall off and enemy team just wins since I didn't play something scaling games still drag on for 30 minutes in gold
: Why do you need an early lead on Azir? Your lategame is crazy
Because even in gold people don't quite understand that my champ much like a kayle wants to scale up and usually what happens is either A 2-3 lanes win and we win before I get to my Item/level spike OR we all lose, team tilts/blames each other etc and want to ff at 15/20. is this reason enough to want an early lead so I can I don't know CARRY?
Vistha Kai (EUNE)
: 1. **Azir's Conquering Sands** - Cooldown: 15 / 12.5 / 10 / 7.5 / 5 Maxed first (level 9) CDR is your priority stat. 2. **Yasuo's Windwall** - Cooldown: 26 / 24 / 22 / 20 / 18 Maxed last (level 18) Yasuo never gets any CDR. Beginning at level 3 Yasuo **CAN** **STOP** every 2nd Azir's Q prematurely, which scales down to every 5th Q at level 9. It also doesn't make your Soldier disappear and because of the range of Windwall, half of the time Yasuo is still in range to get hit by Soldier attacks. Personally I found this matchup rather OK for Yasuo, but that's because no Azir player I've met could actually play their champion.
Wow hurts just not really easy getting to aa range without him being able to E towards you. You can't quite keep up with Yasuo because you are just looking at his windwall but you don't look at his other abilities his e is so good to avoid your soldiers or bait q and then going back in you can't really attack yasuo later in the laning phase because his q is on quite a low cd meaning he has his nado up more often meaning you have less time to punish when he goes for a quick q on minions. Not to mention his burst when he gets you. Should I get exhaust instead of barrier?
Rioter Comments
: I meant it as you should just kick their asses in game e.g. getting super fed and just destroying their team.
what if I can't? then I just get more angry. For example I played Azir against yasuo. I've heard numerous times that it's Azir favored but once he just builds as boots I lost lane there is nothing you could do he out trades and out damages youand I got slightly mad because my Nunu typed "you are bad" even tho HE RAN UNDER HIS turret to ult at level 7 and instead of retreating he stayed to aa the yasuo... and of course the yasuo uses mastery emote like he is some sort of god at the champ when he is gold lmao.
: Seems like although you figured you wasn't being that sportsmanlike, you didn't snoop down to their level. In games like that you just gotta ignore the degenerates by muting, or you kick their asses. And everyone has a bad game now and again so don't put yourself down.
thanks but what exactly do you mean by "kicking their ass". Also eeehh I do have some really big attitude issues kind of a fragile ego something as silly as spamming mastery emote because they killed me or I did something stupid sets me off and honestly I don't mute because sometimes I want to mute I just can't do it. I don't know why but everytime I do I just unmute them again after a while.
: I think {{champion:268}} might start building {{item:3003}} depending on how large the pool would be at the end. Is that bad? Not really as it would give you the opportunity to decide when you want to be the most useful to your team. Just out of my head I can imagine {{champion:268}} going {{item:3003}} {{item:3285}} {{item:3115}} as a nice combination if the mana pool was large enough. The only problems I could see here is: A: Pro play might just end up abusing this in some meta B: You wanted him to stop going {{item:3285}} , this would possibly promote it on him I'd think it'd be a nice change to him actually, possibly giving him more room in his build path and provide adaptability.
{{item:3285}} {{item:3003}} at the same time sounds really powerful if it's too crazy but it should only be like what 100ish additional mana at around level 14 or higher so it would take way too long for that {{item:3003}} build or something I don't know man you would throw your early game out the window so {{item:3003}} is no good option on Azir so even if so just takes too long to get online and in this meta I don't think that's such a good idea. Also you'd have to take transcendence in runes as {{item:3003}} {{item:3285}} {{item:3115}} totally overcap cdr and when you want a Zhonya's or Banshee's in there as well it makes it just really troll without that rune. It's just a "small" thing just wanted to throw it out there
