Not planned for a permanent disable but don't know when it'll be back unfortunately. Once load has died down/more capacity has been added!
: Practice Tool/Custom games not working
These should be enabled as of about 20 minutes ago - have you tried relogging?
: Can't see what my friends are playing
Hovercards were disabled due to some heavy load on some backend systems, not just you guys! :-)
: Stuck in a ghost spectate game.
If you're stuck spectating, try going to C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Config and deleting your "LeagueClientSettings.yaml" file. This should unstick you while a permanent fix is being worked on!

You can submit a ticket at https://support.riotgames.com for Player Support to take a look at your account. It's very uncommon for bans to be overturned, but they can take a look. If you're interested in other opinions you could also post your chat logs on boards for the community to advise what was considered "toxic".

In NA they think that EU gets compensation. It's just a rumour on both sides ^ This. That's been a long running meme from many years ago. This maybe happened in Season 1 or 2 due to things not being greatly aligned, but it's not common at all. It's just meme'd at this point that EU has issues, and NA gets compensation - and vice versa.

Hey iPsychoCannon, There's no way to remove this permanently unfortunately, as it needs to be ready incase you do try to save a replay.

We dont hear nothing about that subject and thats why I called it out. That's actually always happening behind the scenes. We're constantly evaluating our capacity, as well as the limits we are reaching, or might reach. EUW is usually pretty overprovisioned for average use, but as has been mentioned when a new product launches it does tend to cause quite a surge of interest which drops off. Overall it doesn't make sense to double your servers for a few days of use from a monetary, energy and space related standpoint. That's not to say we don't increase where we can for such events! It's just not really feasible to always be prepared for the maximum if you're only usually using half of that.

Everything was going pretty smoothly up to now, and this may actually be unrelated to TFT as it's impacting all game modes. Regardless we're digging into it - but had this shown in other regions it would most likely have delayed rollout.

Looking into this at the moment!

Due to high demand the game servers are under heavier load than normally they would. This is something that will decline over the coming days as the initial surge drops off - but during peak time, there may be delays until that point.

I hope the "specialist" won't be so stubborn when it comes to my issue as well since I literally have vods. Just spoke with PS regarding this kinda form - the form you used has a security mechanic that hides responses from the player in order to protect information you might provide for recovery. This is so that, if your account is compromised, that isn't in your history for someone else to read and basically take ownership of your account. All the responses you've made are recorded there, they're just not visible on your end for this reason. Rest assured though it's in the queue for response and everything you've responded with is in there.
: Anyone know the usual response timer for support ticket?
Hey Dr Riael Aven, What makes you think the responses aren't working? It looks like you've submitted quite a number of replies to that ticket, which would unfortunately keep bumping it down the list to be investigated as it counts as an update/new content. I'd advise avoiding responding unless you have something very pertinent to add to avoid further delays :-( Edit: Ah sorry I missed that in the video, it's because it's not showing responses there? I believe this may be for security on certain contact where you need account recovery and the like, incase of account compromises. I'll see if PS can confirm that.

: How can I restore default league controls when custom ones persist through reinstalling?
It's a little clunky, but basically: - Log in - Go to C:\riot games\League of Legends\Config - Delete the files you wish to reset (probably input.ini and LCULocalPreferences.yaml? - Play a game - this'll save the settings server side - relog, and it should persist
Chtholly (EUNE)
: Practice Tool.
Practice tool is disabled and custom games require 10 players due to TFT's launch. This allows more resources towards matchmade games by reducing the amount of non-matchmade games that are available. This will be temporary until we see the initial flux of players trying out TFT calm down a little! :-)

Support are our best method of both doing preliminary troubleshooting (ruling out the obvious causes) and gathering more information to correlate and report on. Support work closely with many teams within Riot when they find an issue impacting multiple people, and are the primary ingest for logs and reports to help get a better picture of things :-) Boards is primarily for player to player support, and a bunch of causes can result in disconnects. PS are generally pretty good at ruling those out and grouping them together.
Vysaga (EUW)
: CAN WE GET ATLEAST LOSS PREVENTED?!
Custom Games and Practice Tool are disabled due to the launch of TFT, this is intentional. As for your disconnection issue, we cannot enable loss prevented for only a subset of players - it's an "all or nothing" thing. If we enabled that, then we'd also turn off ranked - because there's no value in the ranked system if you literally can't lose. The disconnect issue we're aware of right now is caused by antivirus software - we've been in touch with the AV companies who have suggested updated, as they have released fixes for this problem. If that doesn't work, please [contact support](https://support.riotgames.com) for assistance.

: Why does it have to be an entire day though? Shouldn't the impact of the change be noticeable in mere hours? I mean we live in the information age you might aswell be able to make a judgement on it in minutes. To name another big company, Blizzard was also able to switch to releasing patches simultaniously on all servers. Also isn't the entire point of PBE so that not everything breaks and crashes on release? I mean you already have a perfect testing ground I don't see why you need to chain up another one and thus give NA players an advantage. And for that matter shouldn't there be a european PBE server since you need to test for many different languages anyways.

I mean you already have a perfect testing ground I don't see why you need to chain up another one and thus give NA players an advantage. And for that matter shouldn't there be a european PBE server since you need to test for many different languages anyways. A few minutes or even hours isn't enough time to see a full test of a product. For example if we test at 4am, it's not the same as testing at 4pm. More players, different behaviour, different stresses on different systems. 24 hours is the bare minimum to get a full day of information across all behaviours. Even then, weekdays and weekends are different. PBE is a test of the system in a much smaller scale. Each region has different capacities and capabilities to handle different load - it wouldn't make sense to have the exact same amount of servers for EUW as RU for example. As such, they all have their own unique risks and challenges. We can compare some of them (IE: NA and BR might be comparative), but that's limited in it's usefulness. Ultimately it boils down to not launching everything on a whim, finding it fails, and taking down every single region with it. We then have 10x the amount of work to fix immediately since we've just taken down 10 regions rather than one small one. Staggered rollouts aren't an uncommon thing in any industry. You used Blizzards example of patching all at once - we do some things in that style (such as new champion launches) since we are fairly well versed in those, but entirely new products or huge changes need more soak time to ensure we're comfortable with their stability
: PBE Client changed to ''Riot Client'' after restarting
This would probably be better suited to the PBE board for support, as that's the main testing area for the Riot Client :)

: The Philosophy of Patches
If someone is vastly over/under powered, the balance team do micropatches that adjust their power before the 2-week cadence. However, theoretically there's always going to be a meta and very strong champions. It's pretty much impossible to have perfect balance without making everyone and everything the same - which would make for a rather boring game. So meta's develop, some strategies become a little bit too overpowered, and things need balanced. However in recent years as mentioned, with our ability to micropatch we can adjust vastly over/underpowered champions within a day of the patch. The counter to that is you don't want to "twitch-change" things. A new champion comes out, has a low win rate - our balance team immediately buff them, then it turns out the champion wasn't weak - they were simply being learned. As they become learned, they're now crazy overpowered because the team twitch-changed them to buff them. I don't envy the balance team because with a roster of 140+ champions, I'd say it's pretty difficult to keep things tightly balanced :-P

But lets wait some more, maybe we can lose interest! Neither of those statements are incorrect. Our patches last for 2 weeks - anytime from today to 2 weeks from now is Patch 9.13. Additionally this was stated before we patched, not after - so your statement is incorrect. This isn't new. We know you're excited for TFT, we are too! Clash would be the most obvious/recent one I believe. It's an extreme case, but the first time it was catastrophically bad globally, then next time it worked in some places and not others, and we decided to hold off until we can get it right. Less extreme examples may be things like positional ranked!
: I’m curious as to how Riot decides on who gets stuff first/last when there’s a staggered release. Not complaining, I got my fair share of TFT already so I can wait, I’m just honestly curious. It didn’t really make sense to me that OCE would get it first but then I thought it might have something to do with the time zone or the smaller server size (aka if something goes wrong at least the big servers will not be affected). There's many factors that go into it depending on what the product is. For example we might test "safe" Ranked changes on KR and NA - NA because it's a fairly stable shard in size and capacity and close to the developers, and KR because they're highly competitive - so it makes for a great amount of testing. However if it's less "safe" (IE: Might not be received well or is a huge change which has some risk), we might avoid KR specifically for that reason and go with a less competitive region. Another factor is language - if something goes wrong in EU, we have to message to numerous different languages. EUW especially also has a super large player base, so something "breaking" there will hurt a lot more people than a smaller shard. Conversely again though, if we're testing our changes to specific languages or localisations, EU may be great for that! It gets a lot of exposure vs NA which is EN only. Basically, there's many different thoughts and processes behind who gets what when, based around risk, potential impact, how helpful it is to test there (IE: Testing a German specific change isn't much use on NA!) etc.
: why TFT still not up ?
Timeline can be found [HERE](https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/developer-corner/hvzgE6om-tft-teamfight-tactics-release-timeline-and-temporary-restrictions) with information on TFT release. Keep in mind the times/dates are Pacific Time, so convert accordingly!
: Patch 9.13 Eune Release?
https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/developer-corner/hvzgE6om-tft-teamfight-tactics-release-timeline-and-temporary-restrictions Looks like we've got a release timeline! :) Edit: mobile didn't show me the second page of comments, Hansi beat me by two hours! ;p
: So, you'll just update the client to not be laggy ? or update everything like champion select screen etc... ?

It will primarily be focusing on optimization and improvements. There may still be changes like we've always done to streamline processes and visually make things a little better, but priority will be behind-the-scenes "make it work better" changes.
: nah there is a new client works with Chromium coming soon. Look at the link

Look at the link Our current client is built on Chromium - it's just using an outdated version to support older OS's which we've now dropped support for (such as XP). As Shamose mentioned, this won't be a new client, just updates/improvements to the current client. This won't be a "boom, here ya go, all done" sorta thing, but rather incremental improvements and updates over the future.
: I see. Staggered release makes sense, the worst DDoS attacks are home made. Slow and steady wins the race. Thanks a lot for clarifying.

We've learned that over the years...we know it's disappointing to have to wait an extra day or two, but it's even more disappointing when everything crashes and burns because we were too hyped and released something way too quickly! Not to say we won't encounter that again ever, but we try our best to avoid it nowadays :-P
: They should randomly add a patch on a monday where the only thing in patch notes is "made teemo fluffier"
