: This game needs serious changes
At this point I would rather not have any more changes. Remember: things can always get worse. For me the experience has been getting worse with every major change to the matchmaking system. A lot of people might disagree, but I felt like introducing draft-pick was already one of the biggest missteps in this games development. Long live the one-trick-pony. The league/division system introduced bronze/silver bashing. The lower divisions didn't use to be that toxic before (from my experience). Now we got Iron...the bastard child of the division based rank system, and with it the most %%%%ed up mm reset of lol history.

: Sounds like the rules need to be stricter to allow at least Master tier level players. It does beg the question what the intention was with the publicity stunt. I mean they knew they wouldn't do well from the start. The girls knew this as well. And everyone still went ahead with this. Things like this just creates disrespect and unneeded hate. It's bad for both eSports and women in eSports. There is no winner here.
Disclaimer: I am NOT well informed on this topic. I don't think being Master is strictly necessary to have success in tournaments, as teamwork plays a huge role as well. The problematic part is that you can just completely switch out your team without loosing your position in the tournament and without having to go through any kind of qualification matches.

: Vaevictis eSports all female roster
I don't really blame Riot for how they handled the situation. From what I heard Vaevictis eSports had a spot in LCL but didn't manage to put together a proper team. Instead they decided to pull a publicity stunt with their all-girl team. No-one in Riot had influence on these decisions. The rules should have prohibited them from doing something like that in the first place, but they didn't. That's Riots fault. Apart from that the situation was handled quite well. The decision to issue a warning was based on voice chat during the banning phase, not on the selection of Champions that got banned.

I play a lot of immobile champs, so that's probably why I find that skill to be really strong. I simply don't know how to counterplay that stuff, especially (as you mentioned) if she buys Rylai. If she lands a W on me I am screwed.
Late reply but anyway: From my experience of playing Cassio there are 4 ways to outplay her in most situations: 1. Dodge everything with low cd dashes or high ms. Vayne with qss( for Cassio ult ) is a nightmare to deal with. 2. Outrange her with something like Lux or Xerath. 3. Get right on top of her. She can't use W at that distance and you can dodge her ult simply by walking behind her or sidestepping. Against an inexperienced Cassio player you can actually do this with any champion :D. 4. Good ol burst damage If you are immobile and she gets you in that midrange sweet spot you are done for, unless you can burst her down in an instant. That's just the way she is.
: Honestly I would like a nerf to her W. A Slow + Grounded is a bit too much, and it becomes obnoxious to fight against her or even teamfight against her. W should either slow or apply grounded, not both.
Miasma is a really weird ability. It doesn't really work half the time (especially the grounded part). That's why the effect is absurd to make it worth while. As a result it's useless against it's supposed target: mobile champions, while making life hell for immobile ones (as if they didn't have enough trouble fighting her to begin with). To be honest I would like to see the grounded effect gone if it means the ability is going to get a rework to it's mechanics. Anyway, if you are getting kitted to death (as a juggernaut), Miasma is probably not the problem, but instead Rylais slow (cause THAT sht is op af) + Q ms.

: Solo carrying and climbing is totally possible... BUT,
Yes, it is a coinflip a lot of the time. From what i remember you win or loose 2/3 of your games independendly to your own performance (according to a post from some Rioter i read a long time ago). That's why climbing can be pretty hard. Now you seem to think that's wrong. Let me ask you something tho: **You got a better idea?** ------------------------ The "coinflip" problem is mostly a result of the ranked system beeing winrate based. You love to complain about the system but none of you people seem to ever think about what it would mean if the ranked system wasn't entirely winrate based. Let's just illustrate that idea with an example from another game: Did the 13:3 sniper camping on top of some hill in Battlefield win the game for his team? I hope you get the idea. Point is: you simply can't properly quantify individual performance in League. You of all people, beeing a Bard player, should know that especially well. There is no way to tell if you got 5 assists after an ace because you cast a brilliant ultimate or because you healed the adc once and then just stood aside and watched. The day the ranked system seriously starts taking individual performance (based on in game stats) into account is the day League will DIE. ------------------------ Now with that said, what can you do to improve your experience (because that's your problem right? A bad experience?) I say **stop caring about your goddamn rank** and start caring about improving your performance. That's a much more reliable mindset for a good experience in League. You don't have much control over a games outcome, but you have 100% control over your personal performance.
: I did my provisionals in preseason, what happens now?
Ranked works as usual during pre-season. At the beginning of the new season there will be a soft reset. You will have to place again, but your pre-season rank will effect your placement overall.

The electron app (in this case the lol client) can be optimized to work very well but i think rito can't code :D ... jk jk i think they glued alot of already existing libraries for the client instead of doing a clean custom code on top of electron {{sticker:zombie-brand-clap}}
Ugh... That would mean stuff like champ select is done in html css and Javascript. Sounds nightmarishly hacky to me.

Yes the new client is laggy and buggy af. after a game it actually takes like a few minutes before i get back to the game lobby with the stats. but compared to the old client this one looks better. When you start a game it knows exactly which resources to load (everything concerning 10 champs + map). The client potentially has to load audio, animations and graphics for every champ + runes etc. It probably does it on demand to keep the client itself slim. If that's the case and your game is installed on a hdd instead of ssd the on demand loading might cause delays. The same might be true for network traffic. The game keeps a constant connection with the game server while the client has to access player databases etc. on demand.

Meh. It's really nice artwork of course but it's framed in such a weird way. I guess they wanted to show of her new tattoo? It kinda looks like she is not wearing any pants. Also she looks like she has the overall physique of Ilaoi. I mean, she got more muscular but not THAT muscular. Just doesn't seem to fit the ingame estetic and looks more like an alleyway brawler than a stealthy assassin.

: Is platinum new bronze?
I only got to plat3 once and pretty much never want to go back there. Everybody is so incredibly tense. Plats are really good with their mechanics and playing a winning game, but they are just as bad as every elo before at playing the loosing game. That's why games in plat tend to be really snowbally. I don't think those people actually flame more. Just like every other elo they flame when they think a mistake somebody made will loose them the game. In bronze that mistake might be feeding 5 kills to midlane. In plat a single one can be enough. But that's my opinion from 2 seasons ago. Since then i happely played in gold, where the gras is green and the sun is shinning and avoided climbing to plat like it would be the death of me.

No it's not only you. Coming back to Leageu right now is pretty hard. There are just so many little changes everywhere that it's impossible to keep track of them. I found myself in a state of utter confusion when i came back a month or 2 ago. I personally dislike that about the game, especially the flip-flopping with champions like Rengar or Leblanc. Not having fun is a completely different issue though. Maybe you just need to try playing something different while completely disregarding your rank? I started playing mf bot because lucke me got Gun-Godess from a chest and it felt like a waste to not play it. Got a friend to support me. Didn't have that much fun in league for a long time.

: Scarra talks about how assasins are atm in patch 8.4 rundown vid, around 35:10 i think, you should watch it. You are wrong in so many levels about how talon is, if he really were the ''kill or get killed'' type of champ, some people had 65-70% winrate with him in d2 while others were struggling with having 50%-ish or lower, even his overall winrate was never ''sick'', and he would be as bad as the old xin zhao for example if he really were the kill or get killed type. This for me, is a healthy champion, your winrate actually shows your skill. He basically had to be in perfect position and you needed to flank i many cases to be viable. He still had his W to kite and ult for escape/killing Ofcourse champion balancing is hard to discuss since different champions are differently good depending on rank but imo riot should focus on the higher elo where he actually almost never were problematic. He had clear weaknesses which were tank (he struggled EXTREMLY hard in tank meta) and cc rekt him. Btw you have to compare him to the new talon, how many times have u seen the new talon literally stomp or get stomped? and how many times have you seen him being useless AF late cuz of the amount of shields etc + his low range in teamfights. Problematic champs are generally those who have everything, mobility, cc, tankyness and dmg... And those that are too low risk high reward like syndra was when she was op, or lb. Azir for example atm is like this. You shouldnt have a perfect champ with everything, instead put weaknesses and strengths. Just my opinion. What do you think about the idea in general though?
> [{quoted}](name=WutFace,realm=EUW,application-id=39gqIYVI,discussion-id=5E5pt4Ro,comment-id=00000000,timestamp=2018-03-02T21:19:18.541+0000) > What do you think about the idea in general though? I contradicts Riot's current policy towards champion identity. The goal of the assassin reworks was to give every assassin a unique role. If you "split" kits of those champions theiy are bound to overlap with other champions. You also take up design space that could have been used on new champions instead. It could work in a game like league but It's something you would have to put in the game right from the start. To me personally it just sounds...messy. Like a half assed attempt at a rework. I would much rather see them rework him again till he is playable again, like they did with Cassio.

I started playing shortly after closed beta and i hardly played any game for months. All off my friends stopped playing long ago. It's only natural really. : Why is everyone complaining about Zoe?
Lets just face it: She is the new Yasuo. She got the usual CertainlyT ridiculous launch, plus she is simply obnoxious to play against, so everybody bans her. At this point i would guess she is going to get nerfed into oblivion (started already) until nobody wants to have her on their team either. I am really just waiting for the ZoeMain memes to pop up. Not judging you for playing her. Just don't get to invested into her, because this one just might crash and burn.
: Nidalee can have Kugar form, can jump over walls with W and deal insane damage with Q, and when tagged can pretty much one shot with Kugar form after that hit. She is designed for a different playstyle, while Zoe is designed for pure damage. She has nothing to escape with, only flash. Zed/Talon/Syndra/Yasuo/Fizz can either one shot her or dodge bubble. If you sh1t on Zoe, 24/7 push her in middle so she can stay under turret only and farm, while you are free to roam and get your team opportunities to snowball... thats how you easily win against zoe. If you do not like Zoe, start playing her. I tho her damage was insane and that she was broken, played her and made a "main" of her on my different account, so I could understand her kit, damage, builds, micro etc. She is not borken at all. She is easily outplayable, when she use R, she always go back to that, she cant flash while R, she cant use any item while in R, she can only throw Q or E in R animation. When she is behind early, she is useless. When she get ahead early, she can snowball game. If she is bad early and somehow with luck it gets into late game, yes she can one shot people, same as zed, fizz, khazix, talon and a lot more. So stop whining about this, adapt to that just for your own good. If you wont adapt to changes and will whine about everything like a little lady, you will eventually fall and loose way more. I could play against Zoe every game without any problems.
That's not the point. Zoe is a champion that really only does one thing: Chunk you with a single spammable spell from far range, while the rest of her kit is kinda "meh". Nida was the same BEFORE HER REWORK. Just like Zoe she got nerfed multiple times because of it. Just like Zoe she was a permaban in any major tournament. Nida got reworked because that kind of playstyle was considered uninteractive and generally bad for the game. But with Zoe it's suddenly fine? That's what many people call bs on.

: Any advice for playing mid the first time?
Midlane comes right after jungle in terms of map presence. You can usually roam quite well as a midlaner, but you are also the n1 target for enemy roaming and jungle ganks. It's really important to have good map awareness as midlaner. If you react quickly, you can make a difference almost anywhere on the map. However, you don't actually have to roam to be a good midlaner. You just need to be aware that your opponent might try to roam himself. Keep a good eye on him and follow him if you can. If you let a Fizz roam around the map unchecked for example, that's usually gg.

: I need help calming down[Ranked que rant]
Maybe you should try having yknow.. fun sometime. After all this is a game and games are supposed to be fun. If you are not having fun, why are you even playing? If you really want it to be fun though, this would be my advice: Stop caring about winning or loosing. Winning or loosing the game shouldn't be what defines how "good" or "bad" a game was. After all, that's something you can only influence partially. According to some rioter (that i can't remember) you win or loose about 60% of games independent on how well you played yourself. Instead what should matter to you is how well you played yourself. Played well but lost? Oh well, wasn't really my fault. Better luck next time. Maybe could have done this and that, but not sure. Team could have done a lot of things better as well. Granted, that's easier said than done, but 2 am is to late for a lenghty post in my book. This will have to do for now :P.

: How do you feel about Swain rework (and reworks in general)?
To me it seems like the changed swain for the sake of changing him. Sure, his new look and kit are cool and all but let's be honest: THAT'S NOT SWAIN! That's just another, completely different Noxious-general. Unlike many of the other champions that got reworked however, there was nothing fundamentaly wrong with either his old kit or identity. They wanted to make him more warlock-like but to me it seems like they made him more Vladimir-like.
: any Warwick master that can give a warwick 6 some advice?
Not a WW "master" but i think i can give some advice: {{item:3748}} + {{item:1413}} is pretty much core on any WW built. Rush Tiamat + t1 boots for better jungle clear and some ms. After that you got a few options. I would drop {{item:3124}}. It's just to expensive for what it does and WWs ap scaling is pretty bad. **Damage:** {{item:3078}}. Really good damage and utility, but expensive. Only get it if you are far ahead. {{item:3071}}. Less costly option. cd and ms as well. Hydra applies the passive! {{item:3091}}. Great against heavy ap. Can fullfill all your damage needs on its own. {{item:3153}}. Anti tank option. **Tanky** {{item:3083}} , {{item:3075}} , {{item:3065}} for obvious reasons {{item:3742}} is great for the passive. In terms of winrate it's the best item to get after your core. {{item:3800}} great for teamfights, especially when you are not ahead. Precision - Press the attack + sorcery for the ms is pretty standard on ww. I would at least get Sorcery for ultimate hat and ms.
: >I made very sure not to climb above gold this season because of that. Not to put you on the spot there buddy, but how do you even manage that? Because even if you let your LP decay your MMR doesn't (at the same rate) I think. And when you demote, you play a game you get upwards of 20 at the least for a win when you've decayed.
I didn't try to loose games on purpose or "break the meta" if that's what you think. I simply decided not to spam Cassio. That's how i got to plat3 in the first place. Life of a one trick pony :P.

Depends on you attitude. For me ranked is "normal". I simply like the thrill and don't really care about climbing. I just want to have a good game, and normals had a tendency of beeing boring stomps in the past, cause of bad matchmaking. I am actually not sure if mm is still bad though. It might depend on your rank if it's worth it or not. I reached plat3 in season 6 and it was not a fun experience. I made very sure not to climb above gold this season because of that. Bronze and Silver have a bit of a bad reputation as well, but you just might have to try out if it works for you.

: I could write a lot of things about why you are wrong. But I guess I'll just post this video, this dude tells exactly what I think about new runes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyhOenndKUw&t=0s
I don't know...(wall of text incoming) I would say, that alot of what is said in the video is questionable. The whole point of the new system was to (finally) give you some meaningful choice, but how is this new mastery system any different from the old one in that regard? Yes, you heard right. New MASTERY system because that's what it is. In case you forgot, we have been picking primary and secondary trees with 3 keystones in the primary for the entire last season. Only now we got 5 trees instead of 3. Calling it runes is missleading, because runes simply got removed. Entirely. I guess my viewpoint is pretty specific though. I have been a Cassio main for a long time, and only tested the new "runes" with her, due to time constraints. Last season you pretty much had 2 options for masteries with her: Thunderlord or Stormsurge. Which one was better changed from patch to patch. In general everybody ran the same one at a certain time. Like i said the overall system hasn't actually changed. That's why I don't see much reason for it not to boil down to 1, maybe 2 optimal builds again that everybody uses, removing any real choice again. The part of it all, where I felt I had choices for Cassio was runes. I used either a "full-ap-standard-mage" page or a "20% cdr at 18 + ms" page. Both felt completely different when playing, and i used both the whole season. I know that this wasn't true for most champions though. Just to be clear: Do I think the new mastery system is bad? No. It's much better than the old one. To me it feels like a natural evolution to masteries. Also runes, while i miss them, had to be removed since they just caused to many problems, especially for new players. Overall however, i feel like the system doesn't actually give you any more meaningful options than the old one did. It's just shiny and sparcles a lot.

{{champion:69}} {{champion:134}} Might also just suffer from the stat changes. Most mages only get a few hp as compensation for their missing stats from runes, while adc and assassins got some pretty hefty early game ad boosts. On top of that most mages lost access to magic-pen, which i think is a huuuuuge deal.

You played for 5 years and you think this reaction is negative? It's the same reaction as the last pre-season, and the one before that, and the one before that. Every pre-season people lost their sht and i am certain things will be fine after a patch or 2, just like it was all the time before.

: From my experience skipping is only possible within a tier, so division 5 to 3, 4 to 2, or 3 to 1. Also important to note is that any MMR displayed by a 3rd party is not necessariely accurate. While I assume they put some thought into their MMR calculations, the actual account MMR Riot has is not disclosed to anyone. So depending on the situation it can actually vary a fair bit. Last but not least, I honestly am not sure if an MMR 'only' 2 divisions higher will be enough to skip anything. But if one can consistantly hold it they'll be able to climb there regardless of skipping or not.
