: Taken the desktop back upstairs to test the wifi, I will connect to the hotspot then switch to home wifi once clients loaded. I didn't want to try a game incase it screwed my 4 team mates, but I will test this now. Yes switching from hotspot to home wifi when client loaded worked too. The ping was 18-19 also. I will still run a cable upstairs just incase & play with my router/network settings over the weekend after work. I am curious though how a strong connection has problems but a hotspot or tethered device works fine? I mean you would expect it the other way around + never had any problems before with this game or client. Again thanks for you're help, consider you're good deed for the week done <3

: Ok I tried setting the MTU to different numbers using wifi. The client did load up without the reconnecting or error message. The best I got was the client loaded & showed my stats etc(before it was all blank or un clickable). But now theres a red exclamation mark if you try to play a game(never seen that before). So I thought lets try the ethernet(never use it as my wireless is strong in all 3 storeys). I took the desktop from my music/computer room downstairs to my router. Followed the location steps and now it works perfectly just like before the patch with 18ping. Guess I will have to start drilling to run a long ethernet cable to the upstairs room. Thank you so much :3, its not ideal but at least I can play now on my connection instead of a hotspot or tethered phone lol. {{sticker:sg-lux}}

: I have the exact same problems(never had any problems before apart from runes disappearing), been trying to fix it for days. Support said its my hardware which is bs. I can still dl/upload at full speed & stream etc without any lag. Every thing is the same apart from this game after patch. But if I use a hotspot or neighbours connection(thats much weaker than mine) the game works. I even tethered my phone thats on the lowest contract possible with awful ping and that works... So after 1 patch I can't use my 18 ping connection anymore & must use a hotspot or tether just to play the game.
This proves my point, that logging into the client for some reason is not doable with a "normal/powerful" network profile, that is why lowering the MTU and Speed works, did you try the steps I mention above?

: update: i tried redownloading the client, still cant get in at all, guess i wont be playing league for a while
Did you try the steps I mentioned? Did it work for you?

: just tried this, unfortunately the speed duplex and avb/eav mode didnt show on my laptop, I have a MacBook Pro 17 inch latest iOS, before trying this my client failed to load several times a day everyday since the newest patch and right before this thread i initiated a full repair which did nothing to help, it's continuous black screens or unable to reconnect notification instantly, but sadly this hasn't helped me yet, i still can't get into client. i'll update if i eventually get in. but please riot sort this out for real.
I am guessing you are on **Wi-Fi** then, I wrote those steps for a **wired connection**, that is why some options are missing, just setting the MTU should help you though... I am also on latest Mac OS 10.15.1 (not sure why you said iOS, I suppose it is a typo) If setting just the MTU on a wireless connection is not working for you, can you give it a try on a wired one?

I just posted a solution, related to the one provided by xRaFFiKix but in my opinion easier to implement: https://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/bug-reports-eu/AQ43EBQ6-mac-os-trying-to-reconnect-patch-922

: TRYING TO RECONNECT
Same here... It was gone for months, now it's back since last patch update (9.22), impossible to solve, restart, reinstall, nothing does the trick...
: Fiora is absolutly broken. And i'm done with this game.
I kind of agree with most of what you said. Farewell

: > Shen is not OP Shen is fun when mastered Shen can win games True, true and true. Let me underline that I still love to play him and I'll keep doing it. The reason why I hate him is that with other champions you can try many different things. You can have and AP or AD Fizz or Teemo, a tank or AP Ekko, a Blitz with damage or full tank, an AP Tryndamer, Kennen ADC, Reksai top, Varus AP mid and more in general you can always try different builds (items, runes and masteries) that really affects your gameplay and move your weak and strong points. With Shen it's a different story. I tried hundreds of builds from stupid to balanced ones, I tried my own builds and builds copied from tens of other mains. The outcome is always and constantly the same. Same damage dealt/taken, damage composition, healing done, score, impact on game, same dos and dont's, same pros and cons, weak and strong points. And the fact that items like trinity force, frozen gauntlet and frozen heart that on paper work so well on Shen give you tons of MANA doesn't help. Not to mention the fact that you have AP scalings but a ZERO AP since you can't buy AP unless you want to troll your team mates. I find boring and frustrating that your build as a Shen will always be like this one: {{item:3068}} {{item:3065}} {{item:3748}} {{item:3111}} {{item:3512}} He's so rigid, inflexible and predictable that I think that he's the easiest champion to counter pick in top lane. If you first pick Shen and enemy team is not stupid, your laning phase is already ruined. Here is why I don't think that he should be played in top lane. Better pick Riven, Irelia, Jax, Darius, Fiora, Teemo, Trynda, Garen, Ekko, Yasuo, Aatrox, Rumble, Fizz, Ryze, Swain, Yorick, Trundle... well the entire roster of LoL but not Shen :')

Yes, {{champion:98}} is not a versatile champ if you may, when talking about playstyle or builds, I'll give you that. But I still see a difference on how strong {{champion:98}} is when I buy {{item:3078}} and when I don't for example. Anyway, I definitely will play him more, and yes, he is weak in lane against lots of stuff, but that is why I learned that this game is all about farming, not just killing your lane opponent. And even after saying that I can tell you I have 1v1 lots of counters many times as I am sure you have too. {{champion:98}} is special, you pay a big price in laning phase if your jungler is not very good, but most of the time you are much more decisive in team fights and have a big impact in the game. As I said before, just a flash + taunt onto 2 or 3 enemies can win you the teamfight and thus the game. Anyway, I love when OP answers and you can have a nice chat, props for that mate.

: 1.000.499 mastery points
I have to disagree. Shen is my second most played champion (>100k mastery) and I have a decent 56% win rate with him in ranked games. I don't have 1M like you but I still know how he works. My two cents: Yes, he is a team reliable champion but I have won games because of a great ultimate or a flash + taunt in the last stages of the game. Shen can win games. I am sure you know it. Yes, he is not the prototype of a flashy champion but you can still do great plays and while he is not a high damage assassin or anything like it, you can own your opponent by playing the long game. Shen is not for everyone, he is a "wear off"/"attrition" champ made for the long run. He is sticky, many players in lower ELO don't really know how he works, and god bless his ultimate which can make a team fight turn! I understand that maybe you are sick of him but I don't understand why you say he is "the last champion to consider for top lane" I would encourage people to try him, although if you are just enjoying the game because of the flashy plays or the high damage combos, then forget about it, but if you like the game from a wider spectrum than kills/damage/montages, go ahead and try him. About the builds, I also disagree, I have played full tank Shen and bruiser Shen, just with one or two damage items and there is a big difference in my experience. Conclusion: Shen is not OP Shen is fun when mastered Shen can win games

Solution is to disable hot corners.... cannot believe they release a patch like this. Confirmed! Same here, super weird when it happened the first time until I realised I had "hot corners" enabled. Also on the loading screen, before I could click on other apps in my other monitors/displays, to play my music, stop a youtube video, etc without League minimising, not anymore, very annoying.
