You didn't see Riot closing Queues when Clash was struggling / crashing. You won't either for TFT. TFT is to become (if Riot decides to) a permanent feature, but the priority will always go to stable and main features until that date.
All good points and I understand that this is how it has always been, that is why I wrote "its not too late to try and do things differently" :D

There was no TFT in EUW yesterday or the day before that. NA, sure. And TFT will be a main feature. You just don't want to see it that way. LoL is not a young game anymore.

What I'm trying to say is that TFT is a game mode that will be more popular than all the others for weeks to come and may take over for longer. If they don't let more people enjoy TFT during the day of its release, it will disrupt the positive wave of old and new players. Not so smart move imho.

Please suggest the idea of reducing servers for less popular game modes and leaving more servers for TFT. Its no wonder this is happening. TFT is a success. Enjoy.

It isn't the client (entirely) Earlier today, it was fine. When the work hour struck, shit hit the fan and servers are suffering under the load of people trying to play Teamfight Tactics. I hope they reallocate more resources for TFT to alleviate the bottlenecks.

I have similar issue. Although it wont even get to the Launch button.. it stays at the patching scan. Edit: Waaait. :D I got my problem fixed.. Restarted my connection... flushed dns.. It seemed that for me it issue was behind my connection. : The thing is that statistically, you'll have the same amount in disadvantage than in advantage. This would cause that if Riot makes that people losing a 4v5 didn't lose LP, the winning team of 5 shoudln't win LP either, otherwise you would be causing the games to be more likely to win LP than to lose. The thing is that this system would be highly exploitable. You can DuoQ (and with the new Dynamic Queue, you could be even more premade) and agree with your teammate to afk in losing games, one game each one, so you both you will be winning more LP than other people. You could argue "then make premades lose LP if one of the premades goes afk", but this would be unfair, and you will be punishing some inocent people and some not. The easiest and fairest way to deal with afk's is understanding that, statistically (like you said), everyone will have the same amount of 4v5s than 5v4s, so, the system will break even in the end. Is it fair to play a 4v5? No, it is not. But it isn't either fair that 5v4 in your favour that made you win free LP, but I haven't seen a single post about making you not win LP in a 5v4 because it is unfair since you won a game who was prone to be won.
The funny thing is that during me posting this and now, I've had my team having early dcs/leavers 100% more often then the enemy team, and I think its highly likely that riot system is purposely matchmaking people together who need to lose, to keep the 50% winrate for everyone. I've been spinning through plat division up and down so many times... i keep winning .. good game etc, people are online, then suddenly.. I've reached a ceiling.. I will start getting dcrs and afkers in team, and they pile up game after game.. THIS IS NOT logical to keep a problem that balances it out by letting everyone have that same problem... Its more logical that the problem shouldnt exist in the first place.. not let it balance out like you so keenly believe to be ok. Its more like luck that you break the system at the ceiling and advance to diamonds or something.............. On top of that, this system ruins the moods of people who have to lose without being able to see their mistakes in games.. instead they waste 20 min without gaining any experience. And if it balances out as you say then it ruins the mood of the whole community.
