: We would get rid of 99% of kids this way, i support this
If anything, it'll ensure children have their parents permission to play league, since they'll have to use their parents' number. Although to be fair, most kids nowadays already have phones, so...

: Riot Games, you dissapoint me. You had time to fix everything in Alpha, PBE and still this happens?? It's just sad.
Unexpected bugs can happen at any time :/

This doesn't by any means make it okay however that things went wrong, but no amount of us feeling bad about it will fix that. We're doing our utmost to make further launches and tomorrow work well, and hopefully we can hit that goal - or set the expectations earlier so as to not have a repetition of today.
Stay strong Riot! Mistakes always happen at the worst of times. The important thing is to learn from them :D In this case, I think a notification saying "we are experiencing technical difficulties and *may* have to cancel clash" earlier in the day would have lessened the impact greatly.

People can choose their own priorities. True, but people are acting like they're missing the most important thing in the history of existence because they decided to play Clash. That smacks of some skewed priorities or a whole lot of BS.
I can agree with that in part. People are definitely using the fact that they cancelled plans as leverage too much in my opinion. It's not like Riot had much control over the matter. However, I can understand the frustration. Say you are a businessman and earn 150€ an hour. Clash would overlap with that last hour, so you cancel one hour of work because you value an awesome night with your buddies more than 150€. You're effectively swapping 150€ for Clash, and if you think that's a fair trade that's fine. Now Clash is cancelled, you're swapping 150€ for not-Clash. Of course that hurts.

Clash is gonna be up every two weeks. I don't get all these "i canceled my work, broke up with my wife and murdered my neighbour so i can get here in time" posts. It's actually ridiculous. If people cancelled important plans for Clash, they either do not have their priorities straight or it wasn't that important in the first place.
Well, people have differing priorities. Some people find their meeting to be more important, some find taking part in an actual tournament for the first time with your friends on your favourite game more important. People can choose their own priorities.

: Clash
No amount of preparing can cover all bugs, and some are bound to come up when an entire server starts playing on it. Yes, this shouldn't have happened, and it's their fault, but they're doing their best.

: If I was in my promo, and someone decided to "let them catch up" I would report them, for giving up - and it would be accurate also, since for 15-20 min or whatever the "Farmvile" lasted, you actually gave up.
Like I said, I would never dream of doing something like that in a ranked game. There, the aim is obviously to win the game and I would have played the game accordingly. I'm just wondering whether it's acceptable to do this in the circumstances I presented: Normal game and already stomping.

: (Champion Concept) Laira - The Guardian of The Ridge
Hi! Great job. I am very impressed. You seem to have put a LOT of effort into this, and it looks great! However, coming from someone who himself likes to create champion concepts, I hope you don't mind me giving some constructive criticism? First of all, could you show us the iterations you went through (not just the final kit?). You never know, may be some hidden gems in there ;) I'll just go through my thought process I had while/after reading the kit: Passive: This has almost no impact. I did the math, and this would basically give her 8.6 armour and magic resist at level 13 if she had no armour or magic resistance to start with. Yes, this number increases the more resistances you build, but not by much. She effectively gets 17.2 armour at level 13 if she has 100 armour (slightly more than {{item:1029}} which gives +15). Only if she has been airborne in the last four seconds. I'm guessing the aim is to add tankyness to Laira as she dives into enemy lines, or as she gets knocked up, to encourage her to do more risky plays. I would recommend giving her a shield, instead of damage reduction. Not only is this more thematic (I mean, she HAS a shield), but also more tangible for the player, meaning they are more likely to take those calculated risks. Q: I see what you're trying to do here. It reminds me a lot of Camille's {{champion:164}} hookshot, but one that can also target enemies. Very attack-on-titany (which is cool, seeing as she is a yordle amongst relative giants). However, while cool, I have a feeling the ability wouldn't actually feel great to use. Or more accurately, it would probably be great to use, but way to frustrating because it's so limited in its use. Hitting the first Q is fine, but why the 30° lockout zone to the right? This is a good example of an ability which would have to be playtested, but from just reading it I feel like it is arbitrarily complicated (especially where you can cast the third cast). You would also need to have a short cooldown between the casts so that high latency players aren't affected too badly. Also, why is the third cast a slow and not a stun? Not only would it give her more incentive to use the ability, but it would give her much needed hard cc. W: I love this idea! It would obviously need playtesting, but I can see it doing well! A heal which is good in combat and relatively bad outside of it is always welcome. Maybe up the strength for in-combat healing and it's all good ^-^ E: This skill is awkward. It seems to be the only reliable offensive skill in her kit, but has this defensive buff attached to it making you want to cast it on allies. It's interesting, and would need playtesting to see if it fits. (As mentioned above, the fact that it activates Laira's passive isn't much.) R: Sounds cool, probably also feels awesome to use :D Again, this ability would have to go through playtesting, but it seems pretty epic! A few more thoughts: - Laira with this kit will not be used as a support. She has no more means to protect her ADC than the average champion (she has but one hard cc outside of her ult), although she does have a nice heal. However, both her Q and R require her to jump straight into enemy lines, leaving her ADC helpless. This also forces her to build tanky, making her a pretty good fit for toplane actually. - I love the story, and it fit's nicely to the champ herself. - The design space (a champion who turns being airborne into an advantage by landing with lots of force) is a fun concept, but not one which fits into the support role (the grounding mechanic of her E feels sort of tacked on). Just some random thoughts/skills that popped into my head when thinking of the design space: - Make the Q easier to use. I can imagine slingshotting around the rift as something really fun, but it needs to be accessible. - Passive: Enemy knockups cause Laira to become airborne, but not lose control. - Basic ability (not ult): Only usable while airborne. Laira slams straight down and stuns all enemies in a small radius. No cooldown. Combine this with Q and you can have lot's of stompy fun :3 - Stompy Yordle is fun Yordle
