yi is ok, but ganking isn't exactly easy, it's like shyvana people don't seem to comprehend that your champ isn't good at ganking, so securing drake and setting enemy jungler behind is more important. Don't try tell them though, its like punching a bear and expecting a good outcome

Quick calculation, 4 on-hits, that's 30% ennemy health + 13% your health + roughly 600-700 base (from E, W, base AA damage, ult also damages), for many carries in mid game that's 1 shot or very close to Many people see shyv as a tanky chaser, getting aoe dps as she chase down, but truely if I R a carry and he doesn't happen to have flash up he's dead within 1s. Frozen mallet ? Botrk ? What for ? Your target isn't going to live the whole duration of a slow anyway, I prefer to be tanky and fast to be able to reach that backlane.

Despite the fact it no longer reduces attack speed the burst reduction is still very big (and much more impactful than the slow tbh), if you don't survive a rengar under exhaust it's most probably you were too low, too squishy or mistimed the cast. In the vast majority of case, a well-placed exhaust remains among the top reason to turn a fight loss into a win.

Yet i think Fizz is one of the most annoying champions in the game. I'd rather play against a bullshit burst Talon or a pre rework LeBlanc than Fizz. This makes their chance of miss-playing a lot harder to punish as a result which makes them seem OP. This is the main problem with the game at the moment, too many strong (not OP) champions that have so much room for error compared to others. This combined with the high damage in general in the game currently makes them deadly, if you miss play against one of these champions they can also punish so hard and when they've got an advantage it's very hard to gain an edge against them due to the above reasons. They are generally just oppressive to play against like the old cliche champions like {{champion:1}} or the old {{champion:83}} .

I just want tanks to not be deleted in a second as soon as the fight starts, i got blown up in 1 second full shen tank, before i could even respond. 1 cc, dead. Full tank, I should have just gone an ad champ and actually be able to 1v1 people outside of teamfights, I'd be more useful then. there's too many shred items, it makes tanks obsolete

The full channel is more worth it early game, when it hits like a truck. Late game, just use it for the stun. You can use it to scare people into bad positionings, it's really effective. The damage from W is deceptively high, try to use it more for the damage than for the shield. Still, it's a 10% max health shield, and Sion passively stacks health too, so it's up to you. But try to proc the damage part as often as you can. The E is better when you hit minions, it requires some decent positioning. Nothing that only pros can do though, so don't worry. It's pretty easy to learn. The armor shred is supposed to be strong, I guess, but I never really noticed it being a difference in a fight. The R first of all amps up the fun factor, even when you miss (or especially when you miss). You can steer a little while running, but no summoner's drift. Also, throw some minions with malz's E or Zil's bombs on them into the enemy, fun ensues. He's a tank first and foremost, but given his AD and health scalings, the Titanic hydra is a nice situational item. Just don't look for items that synergize with Sion's passive, it's not worth it. Outside of his R, he doesn't have mobility tools. Late game game it has a fairly low CD, so use it everytime you can, after having positioned accordingly. If you're able to reach the squishies right away, good, otherwise, focus on stunning as many champs as possibile. You don't have to chase a particular target, you can't do that anyway. It's better to even take the enemy tanks out of the fight, thus lowering the pressure on your teammates. Never engage without your ult, you just can't (maybe if you buy righteous glory). Peel for the adc during those moments. I'm not a pro, but Sion is one of the champs I play most, and my favorite tank right now. Hope you enjoy him as much as I do.

If you're able to reach the squishies right away, good, otherwise, focus on stunning as many champs as possibile. You don't have to chase a particular target, you can't do that anyway. It's better to even take the enemy tanks out of the fight, thus lowering the pressure on your teammates. > Never engage without your ult, you just can't (maybe if you buy righteous glory). They don't have DPS at all which is logically what tanks should have even if on a slower scale than actual DPS classes/roles. They should out sustain and eventually out damage you if they are tanky enough. Not chunk squishy's health bars with their rotation of spells. It's only logical.

: Try Sion. Top, jungle, support, doesn't matter. You're not that tanky early on, but deal good dmg. Late game you're quite durable and have good cc. And even if you melt? You get tons of dmg for 5-10 seconds. If you like to tank, Sion is never a bad choice.

Anyway to keep this brief: tanks need their "burst" reduced. Which I'm pretty sure is the idea behind the next class update. They don't want tanks to deal big damage outfront with their rotation of spells and then just walk around you waiting for the cooldowns to come back up. This is also important because tanks DO indeed too much damage. They aren't viewed as sustain damage dealers due to their tankiness. Their base damages and scaling and semi-offensive items help them do damage too easily.

: no, early game tank damage is TOO good because they are incredibly tanky considering enemies won't have any reliable armor/mr penetration, yet their base damages and scalings allow them to deal as much damage as squishy, yet are aided by the fact that they are alot harder to deal with due to their tankiness. A Poppy with just Sunfire Cape will feel extremly tanky early game, yet will still chunk you with her combo and easily 1v1 alot of champs while taking virtually no damage. You know what I mean? Zac can just fly around the teamfight while taking no damage and dealing good aoe damage around. If you get hit by his E as a squishy, then get ulted around you basically get like 100-30% in a couple seconds. And then he can just follow you around while taking no damage. And don't get me wrong I agree, they should be more useful late game and not have them melt too fast unless they face a tank shredder like Vayne or whatever. But the way to make them more useful in my opinion is to increase their tankiness while reducing their upfront damage. They shouldn't be dealing "burst" damage thanks to their base damage on their abilities throwing out their engage/rotation. They should be slowly damaging enemies by being able to outsustain/out-tank their damage. There shouldn't be a Nautilus flashing in Q AA R bam and dealing enough damage, as it is now. EDIT: to give ya an example - this happened ages ago but I've never forgotten it.. I was playing Vayne and my team had a Zac who in fairness did get quite ahead. But still.. his engage would literally decimate the enemy team and he had only Tank items for the exception of {{item:3001}} . Where's the fun in that? I got a pentakill or something by literally LAST HITTING enemy champions as if they were minions. My TANK.. my ENGAGE.. did all the damage and I didn't even have to do anything... that's clear evidence something isn't right. That's not his job. He is a tanky champion with good engage/disruption. He should NOT be dealing the damage he is capable of dealing. If you want I can give you my opinion on to why players started building assassins tanky, and it's not because that build was OP per say, but I've already written alot haha, so I won't unless you're curious.

: Late game even as a tank you need good timing and you can't expect to win fights just with your stats. Fights are very fast paced and when you get focused your team must already pick their targets or you will die in vain. You need to look out for {{item:3071}}{{item:3135}} and {{item:3035}} they make the biggest diffrence. Your enemies will most likely have these items in late game, if they don't they are boosted and you can carry easily xD If this isn't enough tankiness for you, try {{champion:19}} or {{champion:3}} (once the rework hits next week). They can get temporary % damage reduction that can only be countered by true damage and it's really good if you like to play extremely ballsy, giving your team a bit more time to react.
