There is only 1 adc and 2 assassins which is in line with all the other classes releases.
Not only you can play any of those champions in any lane, but they are so strong in this meta right now. You missed the point. Tanks are weak and they are few.

Tanks are disliked apart from when one or two are considered broken for whatever reason (happened to {{champion:14}} a while ago, forcing RioT to nerf him AND the items he usually builds to get him off the hook of metasheeps). And so none can blame RioT for release few champs that people are usually going to not buy or not like. The reasons for tanks being unpopular are quite more then one: 1) Players like flashy assassins 2) Players like having muh damage and having muh mobility 3) Playes does not like having to "soak damage" and generally they don't like to feel they have to play defense while others get kills 4) Players does not understand the relevance of CC in this game. They think damage is all they need 5) Players are convinced (both by themselves and by others) that "to win every game you have to solo carry" and well, you can't usually "solo carry" with a tank 6) Tanks are usually teamfighters and well, a good deal of players are convinced that their teams are always made of morons, feeders and trolls and therefore are never inclined to play with/for them to begin with 7) Tanks usually play top lane or support, players generally like to play mid and jungle. Personally, i really like tanks and i know that (at least in my c**p elo) i have turned more than a few games around because i took care of playing a tank with CC when none would worry about picking one (my favorite are {{champion:14}} and {{champion:111}}). While sometimes a player can get away with picking an ADC in almost every position and win the game singlehandedly, this tend to happen only when the enemy team is really bad and, likewise, lacks tanky champs with CC. So the whole point of "pick a champ that can solo carry and forget about teamfights" is mostly delusional.
You made a good point. Thanks on your opinion, even though biased you made a lot of sence. I also enjoy playing the tank play style but I feel like they are kind of forgotten.

Dude, don't compare the amount of assassins and marksman released vs the amount of tanks.

I'm actually happy that now champions that may release don't have a lane reserved just because this champion is either a mage, bruiser, marksman or tank. Gives more variety to games and opens up to how do you choose to play as a team instead of a single carry being. It all started with Camille going from top to jungle, good shit. A shame that no one plays VI top as she was intended too. Instead people used her buffs to keep playing her jungle.{{champion:32}} {{item:3073}}
