: Tired of begging my Botlane to stop dieing
5 types of botlanes 1) adc is bad support is good ---> botlane is dysfunctional 2) support is bad adc is good ---> botlane is dysfunctional 3) both are bad ---> botlane is exceptionally dysfunctional 4) both adc and support are decent enough but have diffrent opinions on coordination ---> botlane still doesn't work out 5) both adc and support are good and their coordination works out ---> this is wonderful, but WAY too rare.

You could try out to go for optimal lighting in your room, having music to get you hyped or calmed down (whichever you find more useful) reward yourself with a cookie after the game only if you feel you played at your best etc. Try out different things and see what gets you in the mood to play at your best then make these things your preparation ritual.

: Are you sure its because of new account and not arcade event that is happening right now? I dont remember any quests and made this account few months ago 🤔 But... I have memory like a gold fish {{sticker:sg-miss-fortune}}
Yeah, it's a new system they implemented. @ OP I *think* it just pauses and you won't miss any rewards but I'm not 100% sure.

: i cant get better when everyone around me are worst then me.
Wrong. You can get better at positioning, learning matchups, dodging, mechanics of your champion etc. even when all around you your team is losing you the game.
: Oh wow, i just had to look up the term zipperhead. Never seen anyone use that in game before. All offensive language should be punishable imho.
Had to look it up as well. I agree all insults should be punished the same, insulting someones character or intelligence is no less offensive than insulting their race.

: Bronze Jinx ,Looking for high elo supp to learn :D
Playing together with a high elo teammate will only mess with your own MMR, I recommend finding a nice bronze lane partner and learn the game together.
: Ranked is too hard
1) at the first sign of someone being toxic in chat mute them immediately. This will help your mental tremendously as it removes an additional source of stress. 2) some experienced players recommend waiting a full season (1 year) until you start playing ranked, while others say just jump right into it. Whatever advice you want to follow, your first impression of ranked being MUCH harder than normal games does not deceive you. So choose whatever option you feel confident with. 3) think of it this way: losing 8 out of 10 games isn't so bad for an absolute beginner. Back when I first learned chess from my father I probably lost like the first 1000 games against him before I won a single one.

: Im trying to get into LoL but im getting depressed the more i play
I'm sorry to hear about your depression, hope you can hang on mate. Don't give up on the game. The truth is, at the start it can be VERY tough for new players due to there being more smurfs than genuine new players around you. And for whatever reason, most seem to have forgotten that they were beginners themselves, at one point. Don't be shy about standing up for yourself, I used to tell them "If you smurf so you can have an easier game playing against beginners, then you 100% deserve to have beginners on your own team as well. It's your own fault for smurfing in the first place." The easiest way to prevent yourself from getting tilted or depressed is to immediately mute them after you tell them that. Just be VERY careful to never say anything actually toxic in chat, some of them will try to first provoke you then report you. So long as you do your best to win and don't intentionally feed the enemy (the keyword here being intentionally, you can expect to die alot at first) and dont go agaist their very strict chat rules, it doesnt matter if your teammates threaten to report you for feeding etc. cause false reports won't do much and Riot understands that genuinely new players die a lot at first. There will also be a period of where the matchmaking is adjusting and putting you in fights that are way to difficult for you at first, and it might feel like you can't beat the enemy no matter what you do, but that also passes and eventually you will be matched mostly into games you have a chance in. So don't let the hurdles in the beginning depress you, you will feel a lot more confident if you make it through that initial phase and start to feel you can actually hold your own now. Also, if you are the type to get tilted/depressed from comments in chat, whether they are from the enemy or your teammates, immediately mute that person on the first sign of him/her being annoying to you in chat. It helps a lot. It really does. These days, if someone insults me or flames me I just reply "ok, muted" so they know they can't communicate tactics with me in this game anymore. If you still feel a bit insecure, just make a smurf account or three and train to become better on those, and only play your main account once you feel more confident. This means that even in a worst case scenario where mass reporting gets your smurf account banned, your actual main account remains safe and untouched.
: buy 7 rune page bundle?
Imho not worth it. Make 2 most used pages for your main champs standard build and use the third one as a variable one where you set your runes anew before each match, this will teach you more.

: As an ex-support main, and now 'adc main' its shit both ways. As an ADC you are kind of reliant on your support so its very frustrating when they dont play well. But then again as support you get flamed for every mistake you make even when it's not even your mistake. I find it more frustrating as adc tho. I played Zyra support so I didnt really care if my ADC was bad, I could do the work. As ADC if your support is useless, so are you. I guess for shielders it's the same but you can still support a jgler or mid laner. Get fkked as adc in lane and u will be useless for 30 min
: i need help
Depression is a serious problem, you need professional help, not advice from a forum.
: AFK'S
It's because there's a lot of bugs atm that make ppl unable to join/reconnect/whatever. I had a "fun" game today where game was running for 5-6 mins already before I finally was able to get into the game thanks to a bug. I worked hard for 20+ mins to catch up to the others and my team actually won and in the end screen game told me I would not get any rewards for this game due to "afk behaviour". Thanks a lot for that Riot, it was YOUR bug that caused it and I worked hard every second I was actually able to play yet I am the one getting penalized.

: This is part of why I say assassins are op. However, one thing you can do is put a phantom dancer item on your critical backline champs, this way the assassins cant crit them. I have tried a few other things like dropping a cc unit behind my backline. Example chogath. Often the assassins attacked him first, but if the enemy has a lot of assassins some will still jump on your backline units. I generally position my 1-3 tanks, depending, right in the front, and immediately behind them I put my ranged champs, not all the way to the back, it takes time for the champs to move between squares, so if your tanks kill their frontline, they can turn around and start attacking much sooner. You only defense against assassins is either hard cc (eg. Chogath) and the phantom dancer might keep you alive long enough to kill them or for another champ to help. As a tip it's quite useful to put a tear of the goddess on like a chogath, cos he will then cast his ult much much sooner. The disadvantage is that if they have no assassins chogath needs to move into melee range of an enemy and he might not ult at all before it's over. Not the perfect answer I'm afraid, I'm no expert, but I hope it helps a little :)
Thank you, I will test this out and see how it goes.

: For those who need a little bit of help in TFT
Do you have any good advice on positioning units ? I struggle to protect my ranged unit(s), for example. I tried placing tanks before them but when the match begins the tanks rush forward instad of defending and the opponents assassins dash next to my ranged. Am I doing something wrong ?
: Arcade 2019 best things to buy first?
I'm a new player as well and I really like the random champion shards. YMMV, of course.

It has totally different data hence the match history to be completely rebuilt for this new game. They are planning to do it, but want to see how well this new game is working.
Well, it uses the same account, right ? I don't know if exp or something else would be the right reward, but at least there should be SOMETHING reward like imho.
: Unfair 10 games chat restriction
I have yet to see a fully automated system that actually treats each individual case justly, and I somehow doubt that with literally millions of players, Rito has the time and resources to sort stuff out manually. Also, unfortunately, automated systems are especially prone to be abused by organized player groups ganging up with reports on someone.

: What to do when you are clearly matched against a highly skilled smurf? Also what is inting?
I'm a new player in the same situation as you, and in my experience, there is nothing you can really do about it but suffer through it and improve. In a 10 years old game that strongly encourages smurfing the amounts of players not on thier main accounts vastly outnumber the truly new players. Even I have made smurf accounts despite being an absolute beginner at the game. The reason ? I bought some skins and champions on this account and in the next few games was repeatedly threatened by other players to be reported and banned for "feeding". Only I wasn't feeding, I was trying to figure out the game mechanics and how to fight the enemy. Still, I have zero trust in some automated report system judging each individual case justly, so I basically stopped playing this account except for my daily win against bots. Won't consider supporting the game with more money either until I get a lot better at it, I don't appreciate my hard earned cash that i invested into this account being threatened with bans.
: What's up with the login at PBE
Why do I have to read an advertisement for an app I'm not interested in inside your post ? Is advertising for stuff allowed on these forums ? Can I try and sell my brothers hamster in here too ?
: how do u respond to those dumb arguments?
You respond the same way you respond to a background bush in a FPS game while you run past it: treat it as no more than pixels scrolling by.
: Trying to decode what you wrote; it looks a bit "google-translate"-ish... Assuming the route from your ISP to EUW (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) or EUNE (Frankfurt(?), Germany) isn't too bad, the only way to get lower ping would be servers physically closer to you. However, splitting servers further means fewer people per server, means longer or worse matchmaking, so that's not exactly a nice solution either. You're limited by the speed of light. I guess you could have central matchmaking servers and then a game server location based on the lowest average ping of the matched players, but that would annoy high rank players, since to them consistent high ping would be less bad than ping that's different from game to game...
"You're limited by the speed of light." Finally someone exposes the sad truth. I feel so limited by the speed of light!
: Why do dumb people start arguments
Because companies design games for the lowest common denominator these days, usually. Meaning they go for as big a potential customer base as possible, so most modern games often suffer from the design flaw of being made to attract even the most stupid of players. Who, unsurprisingly, tend to act their intelligence.

: These accounts are generally leveling bots, not real players. Accounts like these are banned in larger waves, but you will encounter them in lower levels in ARAM. They're only something you encounter while leveling when your MMR (Match Making Ratings) is low. As you play and get better, you'll have a higher than 50% win-rate when encountering these bots, and you'll climb out of the MMR range they frequent in.
This horribly sucks for new players like me who never played a MOBA before, cause our MMR prolly isnt going up anytime soon. I'm still bad at this game which is ok for now, I didn't learn to play chess well in a day either after all. I won't give up, and I'll keep trying to learn and improve every game. That being said, this game easily gives one of the worst new player experiences ever, I would not be surprised to see many new players give up. I've been playing online since '96 and only once encountered a community that was more toxic, for example.
: you don't get specific champions you get from a pool of champions my last smurf didn't offer me any choices
Maybe it was too long ago ? You get the same 3 champions offered every time in those choices, like the Control champion choice is always between Sona, Thresh, Nami, and the Assassin choice is always between Ekko, Fizz, Talon. Note that technically, those are daily play rewards, not lvling rewards, which mostly give you just 450 BE early on. This page describes it in detail: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752824-Reward-BE-XP-System-Breakdown#h7
: there is no newer system
That page linked there is definately outdated. it claims one gets Ashe on lvl 2 on a new account, Garen at 3, and stuff like a Xin Zhao shard at 6 and a Jenna shard at 8. That is not the case. Instead, there is a new system letting players choose from one of three champions offered occasionally, which is what the OP is referring to. And to answer the original question: no, those champions you did not select will not be offered again for free, but you can buy them later with the BE you accumulate.
