: I keep getting feeding teams for 10 games in a row
i have exactly the same problem yesterday. I lost 5 games, where i pretty much stomped lane in every single one of them. With that i mean is that in every lane we got solo kills on their botlane. If we'd lose turret it would be their other lanes roaming to pressure while ours don't. In my first loss we straight up won every single lane, Game was free got baron 20 mins. then jungler gets into argument with AD and decides to int the game so AD doesn't win. he ran it down to int us after that and we lost. Loss 2: jungler goes 3/19, get him some shutdowns. He keeps going 1v5 Loss 3 - 4: Win bot but top mid jung all behind 4-6 kills on their respective opponents. Loss 5; Win lane, Get bot turret. Swap top. Get top turret. Top mid losing again (6 kill darius). AD decided to def bot even though we have turret. Now we don't have pressure anywhere since their top / mid / jung are straight up better than ours. Their bot gets free farm and gets back into the game while my ad keeps inting into their fed midlaner Not even mentioning the fact i got first pick every game and they pretty much could counterpick me really hard.

'-- if there are 50k ppl playing on that server. and it takes 8 hours to log into que at any point then you got a problem. thats what they mean by it. and i can totally see why. Right now on euw i have to sit in que for sometimes 10 to 15 minutes for a normal.

: I guess you wasn't there when original URF was released, you could pick any champion you wanted, without any random involved. But there was one problem, some champions were, and still are as you can see, completely broken. So any time you picked any champion not from the list of those OP champions you was flamed like no tomorrow.
I was actually and thats bs. i picked janna every game and it was hella fun. now i get put against kassa jax and amumu every game who are just as broken but i'm not playing a champion i enjoy. back then you could still ban the most %%%%%%ed shit and it actually worked.

: > I'm the kind of person that will want to know why my message got removed or why i got a suspension. Everyone is that kind of person, which is why all our moderation come a long with a detailed explanation why the post was removed. > getting an automated message The message is not automated. It's pre-written, but it's manually selected to fit the case and usually contains all the info that is relevant for the deletion. Would you mind telling me what the account you got punished on is called? Because the way you describe the notifications here looks odd to me. Normally the things you are criticizing here should not exist. I would like to check this old case and see what was going on there. > if theres anything i'd really push forward it's custom avatar That's most likely never going to happen. The main issue here is inappropriate content. Every avatar would have to be checked. And this is really not just something we WANT, but really a "must have", due to youth protection laws. Checking every avatar in a forum with something like 100 accounts is annoying, but doable. Doing the same with 100 million accounts is not.
haha nvm i don't think i want to stir those things up again. By the way i just realized why i remembered your name. you're actually the mod that permabanned me LOL. Oh lord... this is really embarassing..
: Hi there, first of all let me say this: There is no need to apologize for writing a long post. Feedback is always welcome and the more detailed it is, the better. There are some things I want to say about this feedback. Sadly I can't say too much about your suspension, since I don't know which account this was on. I can have a look at it if you give me more info. But without knowing what exactly this was about, I can only assure you that no one deleted your post just because they didn't like it. We have very detailed moderation guidelines and we stick to them. In the rare cases where something is so special that the guidelines are not clear enough, suspensions are discussed by the entire moderation team. That being said: Mistakes are possible. We made them before and we will make them again. And whenever we are told, we have another look at it and fix whatever can be fixed. Talking about "we"....we are the moderation team. You seem to mistake Emissaries for moderators. That's not the case. The moderator team is a mixed team of Emissaries, Wrenchmen and Rioters, all of them experienced board/forum users that watch each other's actions. Not every Emissary is a moderator and not every moderator is an Emissary. > i woudln't be suprised if this account got permabanned to after writing this. I would. As I said before, we have strict guidelines. Your post DOES violate the board rules, since you insult other players (in this case: Emissaries). However this is the first offense on your account, so it would at best be a temporary suspension. In addition to that we have a guideline that tells us to be more lenient about stuff that is directed to ourselves, especially when it's supposed to be feedback, like in your case. > and about emmisary's i can't say anything good. So far all my experiences with them have been negative. May I ask what these experiences have been, except that one time you got moderated (not necessarily by an Emissary)? You say some pretty nasty stuff about us and I would like to know how exactly (and if) we deserve that. About the old and new forums/boards: I agree with a lot of things you say here. I think the general idea of the boards was to move the focus from personalities to content. Well, I don't think so, I know so because Riot said so. In theory this sounds reasonable, after all it's the content that matters in a discussion. But I absolutely agree with you that this was problematic because the boards basically removed persons from discussions. And I think being a personality, being known as the creator of your content, being recognized by others...that's one of the main reasons why people are even motivated to visit and use the boards. I was opposed to this from the start, but sadly Riot kept it this way. In my opinion the boards are a shadow of what they could be and I know that I am not the only one who thinks like this. I don't mind the reddit-like structure, that's all okay. But the boards give people very few reasons to stay and become active members, and I really don't like that. Like you said: the boards don't feel like a community. There is SOME kind of community on the boards, there are a maybe 2 or 3 dozen names I recognize and I would consider "board veterans", but it's not what it could be if the baords were a bit more focused on personalities. > this is not pure the fault of you volounteers I am pretty sure this is not at all our fault. We did not make the boards, we are just working with what we were given. I am glad to accept the blame for anything that we actually did, but in this case that's not true. The way the boards are is really not our fault. We very often complain about the exact same things you complain about. We do our best to compensate the flaws of the boards and form a community anyway, but what we can do is very limited. Last but not least I have a favor to ask: Could you tell us more detailed what exactly you would change about the boards if you were in charge? Is there anything beyond "bigger names/icons" you would change? Be as detailed as possible. Feel free to take a lot of time for this, there is no hurry. Beginning tomorrow I will be on vacation, so I won't be able to reply any time soon anyway.
> May I ask what these experiences have been, except that one time you got moderated (not necessarily by an Emissary)? You say some pretty nasty stuff about us and I would like to know how exactly (and if) we deserve that. I think the root of it all lies in the fact that i did have this one big negative experience. After that a strange process happens. So you already have a negative view about mods. and every time you see someone complain about a mod. Or you see a post being removed where you think like it should'nt be that confirms your initial negative feelings. in dutch you could call this the "zie je wel" effect. You already have negative presumptions about a group of people and you automaticly start focusing on that. If i get the idea that mods are bad and i start focussing on that every time i see a mod say or do something i disagree with that confirms my presumptions about them. Its the same reason why people make statements like: there are to many muslims in our country. Statisticly speaking the percentage muslims isn't that high but every time you see a muslim in the streets you confirm that statement. And it gives you a wrong view of what is actually true in alot of cases. However i don't like my threads or comments getting removed for any reason. i think nobody does. It might not always look like it and i definitly sometimes act on a whimp but often as i'm writing i do start to think things through more and more. if you write something and it gets censored it feels like shit. I'm the kind of person that will want to know why my message got removed or why i got a suspension. Especially when you don't expect something like that happening in the first place. So when i see my comment getting removed my first impulse will be to ask why it got removed. (most likely combined with alot of frustration about it). What i think would be a good way to improve how these things work is if i were able to sent the person that removed my thread or that gave me a suspension a personal message and actually ask the reasoning behind it or defend my case. or instead of instanly removing a message just telling someone like hey, i get your point but that part isn't really in line with our guidelines. maybe change your phrasing or i'l have to remove it. (or things simular.) just seeing that someone someone removed it and getting an automated message gets you really frustated especially if it's out of the blue. in that case i went back to the forums to argue about it and got a bigger suspension. I guess the feeling of powerlessness and not being able to do anything about the situation combined with the in dutch phrased "zie je wel " effect i explained earlyer the actual experiences were all fairly minor things but like i said earlyer every time you see something you disagree with it adds up to your initial presumption and it makes you look at something in a really one-sided manner. > I'd say what i like to see goes in against the initial design philosophy of the new boards. i'd love to see more customisation. I'm no expert at all but what i find most important is infact larger icons more ways to recognize someone. Heck even custom icons or signatures would be great. ofcourse those go against what the boards were designed to do. But i do think it would benefit it as a community. especially like custom avatars. For example if you have as avatar an anime character. i might recognize it . I would instantly like you more as a human because i can see that we have something in common. We both like anime. i might recognize the character being from a show i watched and start up a conversation about it ect. But most importantly it will give me an image to remember you by. Like you said earlyer, there is a 'hardcore' community on the boards but the way i see it the boards is a giant group of people and it's hard to recognize people. give people a custom avatar and that becomes so much easyer. You recognize people by the face not by the name also in RL. I do however recognize your name which is exceptional for me on the boards. i think those things would definitly benefit the comunity and make it more coherent. i'm not and have never been a hardcore member on any forum. (like the guys with tons of reputation and 6k posts) i've always been more of a bystander on forums that at times would frequently post things and talk to people but not all the time. For someone with my profile i think the boards formula is to big and inaccassible to see the actual community behind it. the things i listed are all more in trend of traditional forums and i do understand that this goes in against the initial design philosophy of the boards. I don't think that boards is actually designed to be a community. i can't think of any features that would align with it's design philosophy as it kind of contradicts what i look for on a forum. if theres anything i'd really push forward it's custom avatars. i think they would have so many benefits in so many ways in bringing a community together and people you don't know look so much more human. but like i said i think it doesnt align with the design philosophy riot went with. it might take away from the proffessional looking approach they went for. but then again a full on proffessional looking approach takes alot of humanity and 'fun' out of the boards. i know this is more of what i said yesterday in my first post, but these are just the kind of changes that i personally would like to see. If i can think of anything else i'll edit this thread. > > Beginning tomorrow I will be on vacation, so I won't be able to reply any time soon anyway. : Hey guys. Just a quick question. :)
personally i don't have any problem with wrenchmen. but to be completely honest i did have some negative experiences with emissary's or how they're called. i feel like they are to quick to ban you for giving your opinion on anything. generally unfriendly and power abusive. if your opinion. Following last years terror attacks which striked 20 minutes away from my home in the station my mom goes through every day (she luckily had the day off when the attacks were but she takes that metro line every day on the time the attacks went off and i do indirectly know someone that died in the 2016 brussels attacks. anyway there was a forum thread discussing and asking people's opinion on religion. I had a really negative view of religion at that time since the area i live in got bombed in name of some sort of god and said something in the lines of : i think it's completely %%%%%%ed to believe and act for some kind of ghost in the sky. i didn't see the harm in this as the thread did ask opinions and that was honestly how i felt at the time. Anyway some emisary took notice and removed my 'opinion' and banned me for two days. I replied to him telling him i found it absurd that he would ban me for that since the thread asked opinions. Now i won't lie my opinion wasn't popular. and got some downvotes but i still don't think i deserved that ban. You can say what you want about how it's something important for people. at that time it was something i was fairly opposed to since it negatively impacted my life and could have killed my mother if she didn't take the day off. Anyway after i confronted him about the ban he just permabanned the first account and the account i used to confront him. My view on religion might have become more mild now, as those attacks were over a year ago. but i still have a deep hate for emisary's. I think theyre pathatic people that need some sort of power over people to feel good. heck i woudln't be suprised if this account got permabanned to after writing this. Having an opinion is okay as long as it doesnt oppose the opinion of an emmisary. very well i would tell you ways to or suggest ways for you guys to improve but i barely have any experience with wrenchmen. i think one helped me once with a technical problem a long time ago which was nice. and about emmisary's i can't say anything good. So far all my experiences with them have been negative. I feel like theyre way to fast to censor something. As someone who has been actively using the forums from way before the boards update i'd say it has gotten worse. Sure the old forums had alot of spamm. but it was a great place in my opinion. A smaller place where you actually met people in. Your threads got read by others. it very much felt way more like a community than boards nowadays do. wheres the time that there were names on the forums everyone knew? god that was fun and what a forum should be about. if anyone would make a joke thread or any intresting figure enters the boards there thread just gets removed since it isn't 'on topic' or what riot wants to see on the forums. I met way more people on the old forums than on the new one. Sure things got removed over there aswell but it was so much smaller and more fun. Here especially emisary's just seem like cold unfriendly people that do their best to remove people's threads and fun things from the forums. idk, i just really liked what it used to be. i havent had half the fun i had on the old forums and feel like there's sometimes to much interferance and censorship. maybe i'm just nostaligic and i don't know if any of you have been using the forums for a long time. but that feeling of going on the forums and talking to a player you've seen in many posts before. Like there were some really great personalities. if anyone remembers Sawy the janna player. this guy was on the euw forums and would put this small signature saying ''Sawy a janna player". When i made a thread asking some things about janna he instantly replied and we got ingame and chatted for a while. In like 2 hours of taliing he told me alot about how to play janna. Since that day i've been maining and playing her ever since. Now i know "sawy the janna player" wasn't a mod but heck. a few games ago i got in a game and started talking to someone on their team in the post game lobby. The conversation was about janna in the current meta. Now this random person i got matched with also remembered "sawy the janna player". Do you have any idea how that feels so long after that guy even came online i still met someone that knew him. Now what i'm trying to say here is that i believe THAT is what a community should be and thats what i'd like to see more. When i join a community i don't want to see some cold bastard i've never even heard off before permaban me. Or emisary's simply going through forum posts and removing things on sight. i want personalities. i want to see more people like sawy. i want to actually see names and keep seeing them recurring. you used to have members like this that you would almost see reply to every single thread. i guess my biggest point here is that boards doesn't feel like a community. Atleast not in the ways that the old forums did. if you asked me 2, 3 or even 4 years ago to name 10 community members in the forums i'd be able to give you so many names. now i just can't even think up a single one. Heck i even forgot the guy that permabanned me. i mean... But hey this thread is definitly something great. i loved the effort put into it and it's something fun so i upvoted it. I'd say don't just stick to mainstream threads. Like i don't want to discredit the work volounteers do. but you sometimes have threads where like 5 - 10 people with some kind of function say emisary or wrenchman or mod or whatever comment on and i just think to myself like hey i have never even seen this person before. now ofcourse alot of this is not pure the fault of you volounteers but it is a fact that this community is really unpersonal. i mean just look at how players look like. you used to have a giant icon with a name and some smaller icons with even your rank displaying instantly. Thats so many ways to recognize someone. Right now its just a name with a miniscule icon you can barely even see. So unpersonal. so easy to forget. a community member and example shouldn't be some random interchangeable person holding a rulebook. it should be someone who's known through reputation. a first way to achieve that is by adding more personality to your player name on boards. Imagine. you're in a room. everyone in that room looks the same. theyre all bald guys with sunglasses. the only thing that's different is that the first bald guy is named andrew and the next one is named henry. and they have a slightly different patch on there monotone black suit. now in the next room you have a big fat black guy, a hippy with long brown hair and some kind of weird cat loving furry woman in her 40's. now methaphoricly speaking it's way easyer to remember someone in the second room just because they look different. so here my point is that by making player icons larger or more personal it becomes easyer to remember people. if the hippy with the glasses helps me once and i see this excact same hippy across the street the next day i'l remember him. if a bald guy with sunglasses helps me and everyone walking in the street looks like that bald guy with sunglasses i wont recognize him if he comments in a thread i read. but hey there's a big difference between you guys and riot ofcourse and i'm sure they prefere this bigger less personal approach to the forums but just realize that with it being like it becomes harder for a player like me to recognize you and see you guys as people that can help me or that i should look up to as a community member. now excuse me for this being so long. i tend to start writing and not stop so this will be awfully structured but atleast it helped me get my thoughts together about what it is i dislike and like and why it is i really view emisary's negatively. I hope it also might help you a bit in seeing how one individual outside your community of volounteers thinks about it (now my opinion is just one opinion but i try to defend it and tell you why i is i think that way. you might disagree and if that's the case i'm open to hear what you think about certain things since i can only bring in my perspective on the matter).

Play in any of the draft queues. funny enough i've had this is draft too. It's a solid system but it just takes ages for a game to start especially if people dodge them. Which happens alot when their champion gets banned. ive had times where it took over 30 minutes to get into a draft game. And To be honest the benefits it gives are often not worth the wait time. I have to commit that instalocking happens alot less but i still often get bot premades that just instalock into my lane and force me to fill. mid or jungle which i absolutely dislike. I also feel like i'm put in full premade teams way more often when i use draft.

: Now this is a fun thing to talk about. Now: Take a good player, bad player and a great player. giving everyone the same champion the great player should win 100% of the time. But give a bad player an "op" pick like camille and a good player perhaps illaoi, who is "meh"(personal oppinion, no crucificion please). it doesnt matter that that the bad player is playing camille, an op pick, a bad player cant win against a better player. The only reasons why a good player loses: no idea how the enemy champ works, no idea how his own champion works, no idea how to build vs the champ. Camille was built as an early game fighter, one which riot hasnt previously yet implemented into the game. she is a 1v1 fighting specialist, which is where she excells, 1v1. She has dps for one champion, only one escape and if she uses it to go in, then no escapes. one heal, which in teamfight does less dmg than autoattacks. ult for one person. Now compare it to illaoi. aoe tentacle heal, aoe dmg, aoe ult. now looking at this why wont i say that camille is op nor why i say that illaoi is op. I know that they aren't op because they have to be played a specific way. camille loses extended 1v1 to jax, irelia, aatrox, tryndamere, fiora. All the champions who want extended trades (if similar level and same amount of items). She loses hard in team fights because lack of aoe. sure her ult is a disruptor, but unlike jarvan's ult, enemies can come in and cc the shit out of you. Illaoi in example loses vs hard poke and long ranged champions, who can kite her : quinn, vayne, kennen, gnar, jayce. To sum up my rant (broken as fuck english, i apologize) : The reason you are losing your matchup vs camille or think that she is op, is because you don't know your champions strenghts against hers, nor can capitalize on her mistakes, you dont know the matchup well enough, nor you know well enough how to use players(not champions) weaknesses (i mean agressive players, non-warders, roamers ect ect, you get the point) against them. This was my opinion and although i am open to criticism i am not likely to respond to flame or any kind of idiocy. there are stronger picks than camille, just learn them and play them. Yours truly Cekata {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}
'there are stronger picks than camile' thats not a real argument. I'm not even talking about the laning phase. i'm talking about how easy it is to play her fairly successfully if you go tanky. See it as tank ecco in an earlier state. It still dishes out enough dmg to one shot people. thanks to the shield on cc she has a double pasive. combine that with some other items and you can get quite alot of free tankyness with her. Her kit is also extremely overloaded. She is currently one of the most if not the most mobile champion in the game. combined with her easy tankyness and her extremely good dmg and substain. i am complaining as a camile player. as i find it extremely easy to outplay most opponents with camille. especially since her dash is really easy to land and most champions simply cannot outtrade her with the double shield. Unless you pick something like fiora you are going to have a really hard lane knowing the range on her dash and how easy it is for her to zone people if she's ahead. The point is that her laning is really strong. she snowballs really hard to the extend where she can easily 1v3 - 1v4 a team if she is building tanky/bruiser. overall she has tankyness, dmg extreme mobility, substain, 2 shields, true dmg, % health dmg, a knockup, aa canceling, an invurnibility, and the ability to make flash useless. The thing that makes camille so strong is her extreme mobility. You used illoai as an example, but iloai is completely different from camille. Illoai has high aoe dmg as long as you're in her range. but she is fairly easy to kite and work around. camille on the other hand when fed can be alot tougher to actually outplay. But then again, if you haven't played or seen the bruiser/tanky camille build you don't know the true terror that camile can be
: is camille getting nerfed anytime soon?
most people don't know how to play her or pick her jungle. the tanky build is definitly broken. I have achieved 87.5% winrate with that. and i don't consider myself to be a good camille player
