Since you are aa based pantheons shield blocks your damage. However you can easly block his stun, allowing you to play on vitals and come out even or only slightly behind
Pantheon is the single most meta resilient counter to Renekton... hope it has changed now after 6 years

Because it's straight up good. I know that's not a proper answer, but I don't have time to explain to you why and when it's better than X rune to have. What runes do you think are better than it?

Before this patch it was a good item, in this patch it's a more niche one. If you build it on a tanky champion (with good amount of HP, at least) it is even better than it was last patch, as long as you don't rush it as first item. If you build it on an utility support it IS worse, and that is exactly the goal of this change: locket and redemption were too good general buys for any type of support, now they are not.

Playing since start of season 2 and ping is still around 75, sometimes worse and sometimes better

: In fact no, people in low silvers are worse then bronze yes, but not in high silver, they are high silver for a reason because many of them managed to climb up from silver 5. You will face this in every elo. Low silver being worse than bronze, low gold worse than silver, low plat worse than gold
could you explain why?

: Rek'Sai's ult? How does it work?
I don't think there's need for any rioter: Yes, it's point-and-click ability, but it "simply" launches you from your position to your target's one without actually locking the enemy champion like a traditional point-and-click like Veigar's R. This makes it so that your target can dodge it by sidestepping (but I think he needs to have a dash or be really fast) or flashing away; from the point you do the leap from underground it seems to work kinda like a Warwick's ult, so if they just run in straight line you'll get them anyway. This is intended and I think rightfully so given the damage that ability carries. > The W is weird as in that it doesn't prioritize champions, so if minions are nearby, good luck hitting it. It's always been this way, it's just that now you only knock up the primary target. It's not "good luck" hitting it, you just need to better yourself and press on the champion or get yourself used to the "target only champion" button option. > And for a tank, she feels so damn squishy, just as Nautilus in the jungle. But thats another issue. That's no issue since she's been reworked to not be a tank anymore. She only scales with **bonus AD** and has no real benefit from building tanky items besides the bonuses given by the items themselves. Hope this answers all your questions!

Bots from users are stupids, feeders and push mid like a minion. They are a problem. If you are traying to say, play custom or go to training mode the answer is no. No because I want PI and I dont need those modes to try new things. And well, I play against bots when I can't play PVP cause my lag and I don't want to get a report and make a unfun game for 4 teammates. It's simple.
Ye I got those last points, I just didn't think about the IP thing since it's not a problem for me, but you got a good point. > Bots from users are stupids, feeders and push mid like a minion. This is why I said "3 support bots" ( I personally put Soraka, Alistar and Taric ), because they have a hard time pushing, and since they are 3 they can't win fights by themselves so that I have time to do whatever I want.
Taquion (EUW)

: how does {{item:3156}} 50 attack damage 45 magic resist 10 cdr 345 mr shield (increased by 1 for ever 1 bonus mr), lifeline bonuses 20 attackdamage 10% spellvamp 10% lifesteal, not fit any ad champ? 70 ad doesnt fit any ad champ? yeah its not a tank mr item, its a bruiser mr item, which is why it isn't purely mr oriented. old abysal, and current banshee are also not tank items, but hybrid items that give both offensive and defensive stats. and with a 345 base shield that increases with any bonus mr you get maw is an incredibly good hybrid item. yeah as a tank/bruiser your job is not actually diving to a point where your team cant help you, because as a tank/bruiser/fighter you lack the burst to take out carries instantly. and as a tank you shouldn't be splitpushing you should be with your team to initiate a fight and tank a majority of the damage. i do think league doesnt have nearly enough items though, this is done to make the game noob friendly, but this also causes a lack of variety, because you can pretty much guess what everyone is gonna be building, and sometimes even in which order they'll be building it.
Ye we're probably just discussing over the fact that with "tanky AD" I was referring to a champion that just wants to survive more, but doesn't scale with AP. With the last point I do almost entirely agree
Lightno (EUW)
: if you are a tanky ad you can still buy abysall to help your magic damage dealing teammates. and if you are tanky ad vs non sustained magic dmg heavy teams you can always buy maw of malmortious, it synergizes wel with other mr items you buy, and there are enough hp items to make up for the items lack of it, plus you get a magic resist shield.
I kinda agree with what you said, but my point still stands. I don't want to write a long post again so I'll just say that Maw doesn't fit (and isn't made to) any AD champ + it's not a purely MR oriented item; abyssal still needs you're teammates to deal magic damage, to deal it to a champ nearby you, and most importantly needs you to be with them to have value in it's passive (no splitpushing, no hardcore diving). Still good points tho

I agree with that... like you've said, you paid for something completely different from what you're getting now
Valxath (EUNE)
: The latter. I don't like how the new Gatekeeper came out.

This is why I said **specifically** that the alteration does not appeal to me. It's clearly a result of heavy thinking and much effort on the designers' part, but it's a lot different than its predecessor and I'd never have spent those RPs for that one specifically. ** Riot's no-refund policy is the one I'm strongly against, not the redesign per se.**
> but it's a lot different than its predecessor So what you are saying is that the skin is different because the champion itself is different right? Like you feel like this new one is actually a Gatekeeper skin but since the champion is different it came out different? Or you think that given the reworked Galio they didn't do a proper job in replacing the Gatekeeper skin?
: You can;t even pick any champ in normal as well the game is try hard 24/7 that's what makes it boring. me i don't care who i pick as long as its fun, but some people like to play their elite rank 7 champs. There is no fun seing a yasuo in every game is there?
You actually can, just go and do it. My usual picks are not meta, and I think it's obvious people play their mastery 7 champs, I do so myself since they are level 7 precisely because they are the champs I enjoy playing the most. I dunno man, I feel like you're generalizing a bit too much, you complain about people tryharding 24/7 but you say you can't play the champ you want because it's not strong enough... but people tryhard for the same reason why they pick strong champions: to win. It's like saying you want to win easily without any effort, picking the champ you want and winning anyway without tryharding, well I'm happy the game doesn't work like that.
: Fair enough. I won't judge someone for having their opinions. But bm'ing with PPR recall is funny AF.
Oh yes that actually is the only thing that makes me barely play the skin :D
: I am just saying when i play a ranked game i don't pick a champion that is "fun" i pick a champion that will win me the game that is so limited because only certain one are top tier. I still which i could pick any top laner and do good but that's not the cases. The same goes for normal's i won't pick certain champs because they suck and i now i won't have fun game because the champion is sh*t. Also if you look at people's rank 7 they most champions that in the meta and are op.
> I still which i could pick any top laner and do good I wish that too, but there always have been tier 1 picks in every role, it's ALWAYS been like that
: I must argue the game was a hell more fun back in season 2-3, the unbalancing of the game made so every champion was strong and it didn't feel like you had to pick the same 10 top tier champions to get any where. The game is boring because you see the same champions over and over again. Also the lcs wasn't such a big thing so people acutely picked what they wanted to play not what the pro's played because it was op. Yes certain champs where a lot stronger such as lb shaco yi jax, but hey i stay had more fun playing then, as of now. My 2 cents and ive been playing this game since season 1.
By what you are saying here I think that you are not playing this game from a LOT of time, and I mean no offense with that, because the LCS has been really, and I mean REALLY, influencing the game at least from season 2, and the champion variety wasn't broader than it is today... a quick example: AP Tryndamere from February 2013, obviously nobody played him like that until VoyBoy picked it and I swear to you that just the next day it was in half the games I played. Sure, LCS probably has stepped up it's influence even more now, but I dare to say not in a way THAT meaningful. > I must argue the game was a hell more fun back in season 2-3, the unbalancing of the game made so every champion was strong and it didn't feel like you had to pick the same 10 top tier champions to get any where. The unbalancing of the game didn't absolutely make every champion strong, that is simply not true. We still had "the same 10 top tier champions" every patch, they just maybe, and I say maybe, changed more frequently, but I reckon them to be even more far off the ceiling in term of being OP than they are now. > so people acutely picked what they wanted to play not what the pro's played because it was op. I don't know if what I'm about to say is right, but I think you see more people now picking what's strong instead of what they want because you "progressed" in the game, you stepped up your level of play and you're getting matched with people that, like you, have more game knowledge than before and that makes them pick the strongest champion because they, like everyone, want to win more. That's the point, **win more**, that hasn't changed since when you've began playing this game, but at the start you just played what you wanted to, and only with time you saw that better players achieved better results with "better" champions. Don't get me wrong, I see what you mean, I think too that now people I'm matched with tend to pick meta champions more than before, but maybe that's just because people want to "get better" at the game (I don't think that playing OP champs makes you actually better, but certainly can get you to higher ranks, and that's what people want). And trust me, I play the champions I play because I like them and not because they are strong (Renek main since mid season 2, always been my most played champ since then), thus I tend to notice people picking stronger champions since they almost always outclass mines.
: My comment might not be relevant but I can approve this post since my own experience as a low elo player is damn hella unbearable. I don't think the game is bad, it's for me one of the best online games but it's not fun anymore when you can't get better to the game insofar as players and the game are not managed correctly. In the hope of seeing again the funny and dynamic game which League of Legends was a few years ago.
> In the hope of seeing again the funny and dynamic game which League of Legends was a few years ago. You can take a quote like this from 1, 2, 3 even 4 years ago, but that simply is not true, you probably just had a different perception of it few years ago because it felt "new" or something else to you. I honestly feel like the game is in a much better shape now than few years ago, not to mention the previous seasons; yes maybe I had more fun playing back then, but that's not because the game was better, just my approach to it was different
: Well, maybe Renekton will get a new skin after Renektoy. If not, come up with a skin concept and post it on the boards. That might get a rioter's attention, who might put the idea up to the skin group (or whatever), who might make it, then maybe release it.
Well I actually could, I'm not bad at drawing :) Still I think I'd like whatever Riot could come up to, I've almost always liked it, even PoolParty Renekton is a well made skin, I just don't like it for other reasons

This is the first legendary skin I've ever bought, and I was disappointed too at first glance, but seeing it in game made me change my mind. > He used to be a massive, Hellboy-ish pillar of crimson tankiness, metal gauntlets, determined face and all... To me it now feels more massive than before, more hell-related too, metal gauntlets are still here and the face is more determined than before; plus now he has some kick-ass animation the previous one missed (old ult aside, that was what made me buy it). The only complain I have now is that I'd like his wings to be a bit higher, like in the other skins, but I'm still satisfied by it :)
: If there is no reason why the percentage of average/worse/better players would differ from division to division then there would be no reason for a ranked system at all. I mean surely as you climb the ladder in a system designed to whittle out the good from the bad - as you go higher the amount of good players you encounter would increase? Otherwise the system would be flawed. What does diamond consist of - 1% of the total player base or something like that? While Silver is a considerably larger percentage of players - As you said yourself, a lot of the gold tier players won't be there for long, but they are STILL there, that means they will appear in the games with you. But so will the bad players. Think of it like any other sport. Do you think a professional rugby player could carry a game to victory if he were the only competent player on his team? If the opposing team had only two players at a skill level near to his he would have an extremely hard time. Imagine if professional sports teams members were randomly picked between each game - It'd be a mess - your victory would depend on weather of not your random team mates and yourself could play as a cohesive unit. I agree that skill is a part of it - but I think anyone who denies that luck is a big factor in lower division is simply deluding themselves. I appreciate that higher elo players have earned their spot in their division - especially if they manage to stay there, and continue to climb, but they also had a bit of luck with them along the way there.
You didn't get the point, what I mean is that the higher you climb on the ranked ladder the higher the AVERAGE skill level will be, and that makes the ranked system work. > While Silver is a considerably larger percentage of players - As you said yourself, a lot of the gold tier players won't be there for long, but they are STILL there, that means they will appear in the games with you. But so will the bad players. This works for higher divisions too, just replace in your sentence Silver and Gold with Platinum and Diamond, or even Diamond and Master/Challenger And it would work in every other sport too, if, like in league, you'd change teammates every match you play. Yes if you are a slightly better rugby player than the average players in the games you play you will stand out, sometimes you'll not be able to actually win, sometimes you won't even be better then the rest of the players, maybe sometimes you will even be the worst in the match, but if your average performance is better than the others' you will win more in the long run, and that brings you to a higher level. To be honest the comparison with traditional sports is kinda lame because there is not a system that tries to balance out every game by changing the components of every team, but still I hope I could get the message to you

Meaning, teams would have the greatest diversity in skill. So, that's where luck comes into it. it's not how this works. Sure there are smurfs and once evry year soft reset messes up matchmaking, but for the most part, there are no high elo players in low elo, all players in silver are silver, all players in bronze are bronze and so on. > and for those average players who might deserve a spot in gold, but just can't get there. with they way ranked works if player deserves the said spot then he is there or he'll get there. Reading what you wrote i feel like you have some misconception about ranked system, but can't exactly point out what's the problem.
Exactly, I feel he has some misconceptions too. Just because the number of players is different, there is no reason why the percentage of "average/worse/better" players in any division should change (maybe and just maybe challenger is an exception because the really low amount of players may bring games queue to be unbereable, thus forcing challengers with diamonds to avoid that). Just like in Silver you think you'll find bronzies, silvers and gold (or plats), in Plat you'll find golds, plats and diamonds (or masters); the numbers are lower but there is no reason why the percentages should change, you're just assuming it. And by the way I think this whole thing is wrong, because actually gold level players won't be in your silver's games for long, and if they are it's because 1) they just started to climb 2) they are low-gold players or just got a lucky streak that got them there for now 3) they are "actual" gold players, and matchmaking balanced the game by putting in the other team another gold/players with above average mmr I think luck IS a factor, it gets more irrelevant the more time you invest but can wear you down if you base your game on it and don't play up to your standard because of it. You have to keep your concentration up, if luck isn't on your side you can't just wait until it comes, you just have to make your possibilities of winning a game higher by playing at your best CONSTANTLY.

: Grey Warwick and Medieval Twitch were the 2 RAF skins, right? I don't know. All they said when they retired the RAF program all together (the real reason being they felt they didn't have to "bribe" players into this game anymore) was that the 2 skins "may come back in some way later". Frankly, I wouldn't worry too much about it this time. The RAF program was a social feature, and just a champion rework shouldn't be enough to warrant a return of otherwise a "limited" skin. _I use " " on limited here, because it isn't verified to be one or the other (limited/legacy)._ On a personal note, the RAF program were laughable. The ones with the most friends/time to level smurfs would get the most RP (later changed to IP) + the 2 skins. A far as I'm concerned, those 2 skins were Pay2Win. Except it was Riot who paid for it.

: They said that Grey Warwick will be available through some social was just like it was available through the social refer-a-friend System. If it wouldnt have been abused by botters it would still be in use and people could get the skin so I really cant understand your point
I don't agree with that, saying "if it wouldn't have been abused by botters it would still be in use and people could get the skin" it's KINDA like saying "if it wouldn't have been for the PAX terms of agreement I could still buy Pax TF", with the difference that Riot itself decided to stop the viability of Grey WW and Medieval Twitch with the closing of refer a friend, if they didn't like to limit those skins they could have done something right away. Besides that my point didn't ever touch the argument of "why a certain content is limited", so I don't undestand your point either
PaladinNO (EUNE)
: Given the official statements, there are limited skins and then there are _limited_ skins. The difference being skins that were, at any point, purchasable in the store, such as Championship Riven, Urfwick and Rusty Blitzcrank. Skins like that were stated to return to the store after 4 years, getting their status changed from limited to legacy. _Limited_ skins on the other hand, defined as skins that never were purchasable in the store (Victorious skins, PAX skins, Silver Kayle and Black Alistar to name a few), will NEVER be made available for regular purchase. _Pity, as I'd really like Victorious Elise, as it's her only good skin._ ^^
Oh thank you, wasn't aware of this So Grey Warwick should fall under the second definition right? And if this is accurate then ok, I agree that at least Urfwick is predisposed to be buyable again... P.S: could I get a link to that official statement?
Doomley (EUW)
: I understand the grey warwick skin because you could only get it through refer a friend. But urf warwick is like championship riven. It was purchasable so everyone should be able to get it. I would be mad too if they would make it possible to buy victorious skins because they weren't purchasable in the first place and they are symbols of achievement. The urf ww however should be purchasable. I even remember playing when it was in store and i got sad when i noticed that it got removed and i hadn't bought it.
I get what you feel, that happened to me with Championship Riven, but I still think it deletes the purpose of making something limited... the only solution I see would be to make it accessible only to players who had active accounts when it was purchasable, but that's probably hard to do

You gotta admit tho that without any "complaining" Riot could think that players do like the skin the way it is, and this post is the best way to complain (I don't think that's the right term to use in this case, there's not enough negativity to support it) because it addresses and analyses the issues that the reworked skin has. I don't own this skin but it was my favourite WW's skin pre-rework, now it's subpar compared to the others
