: So I have another question. Regarding smurfing, other than SMS verification how would the system detect whether someone is smurfing or not? as I am fairly concerned about this because currently this is my first time playing the game and I am level 26, however, this is not the first MOBA/strategical game I have played where I have been a very competitive player in Dota 2/Starcraft as well as Overwatch where I believe skills from all of those games can be transferred to league as well as I have received messages from players within game claiming that I am smurfing although this is my first time playing. I was just wondering how this would be addressed? I want to play clash when I can but I don't want to risk my team receiving penalties because the system might pick up that I am smurfing.
Can you get into ranked at level 26? (I'm not sure it changed with the level cap inscrease.) Whatever. To play clash, you need to be ranked in one of the two summoners Rift Queue. If you're good, you'll be ranked high at the end of the placement matches, so don't worry about that smurfing thing, it is mostly to keep people who have a high ranked account to make a new one, get placed low on purpose and enter the competion with it. If you keep winning clash tornaments and/or rank up, your clash oponent will get tougher. Anyways, you should be fine, as this is your first and only account ;) Edit : I'm not affiliated with Riot games or anything, I just wanted to aswer you because you seemed to be left alone with your doubts :'(

: Hey, friend! Yes, you can have your friends join it at any time during the lock-in phase. However, you should make sure that you're all locked and ready by 7:30PM CEST to get into Clash!
Thanks a lot, what a relief! We'll all be ready before 7:30PM, but I was just so scared we needed to be 5 in the team before 7PM, because I may get home at 7PM or so :'( That's some awesome news, thanks a lot <3!
: 1 day of Clash - FAQ and Known Issues
So, I hope it's not too late to ask, but there is an information I can't find anywhere. Can I create my team and join during lock in time ? Or rather, can I add the remaning members of my team between 7PM CEST and 7:30PM CEST ? (My team currently have 3 members, and I'm going to invite the remaining two into it later today, but I might not be able to come home before 7PM CEST so can we still play today games if I add them to the team during the lock in phase ?)
: I got a couple of things right so far: C9 getting out of groups Origen getting out of groups CLG getting out of groups SKT and EDG getting out of groups with SKT first and EDG second ofc, its not over yet and maybe there can be complete turn arounds. Tbh, it feels like I'm the only one that put C9 on the first or second place (mine is actually second)
I put them in second too! When I did this, I was thinking 'This probably will never happen, but I like C9 too much to put them lower... F*** the Riven skin I don't even play Riven anyways, I only want to show support to my second favorite team!' And I kind of did the same with Origen, so finally my Pick'em off isn't looking that bad actually xD

: There were some good adc-s, but usually they can't farm even if their life depends on it :c I don't really need to practice zoning, as when you pick Blitzcrank or Leona, they will automatically zone themselves out, it's actually really funny haha :D
That's why I said practice at zoning. Blitzcrank and Leona both have natural zone control, but most of players doesn't use it that much, because it's only the effect of the champion, not their will. You'll be good at zoning when the enemy ADC won't sometimes be able to get close to a minion while you play Nami, Zyra, Janna or even Soraka :)
: Map awareness doesn't magically appear with wards. I'm one of the worst players out there, I just play cheesy ranged toplaners to zone the enemy, I ward better than 80% of players as a toplaner... and yet I can't see poop on the map :D
That's what I add 'and ping' :D I always ping when an enemy shows up on the map close to one of my allies, and even write the enemy champion's name in the chat.

It affects matchmaking in the way that it puts the players reported for this with players with lower MMR, but I found out after some research that it does not lower their MMR directly (but if they still loose to players with a lower MMR, they'll loose MMR). (cf my other post if you want the link of Lyte's statement on the subject)

Your links of the Riot's comments were pretty confusing and not really appropriate, so I made some more search and I FOUND IT :D [The perfect post !](http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=2546648&page=7#post29027782) >Quote: >Padre Judas: >Lyte, one last question about the tribunal. Does the "unskilled player" report really do something? Does it lower the hidden ELO of a player? >Lyte's answer: >It doesn't do anything automatically, so it's impossible for a player to 'troll' another player and lower their Elo. However, we do use the reports for other things but they are always reviewed by human eyes first. So you were right after all. But please use this link next time you want to quote Riot's comment on this subject, because the two first you posted weren't accurate ;) And I still believe that the system will at least put them with player of lower MMR (but does not lower their).

You get allies fed ? means nothing as bad player will still throw the game later on anyway.
Well if you're really warding the map correctly, most of players won't go in a 1vs5. And you got the ping power. If you ping someone to back because you know he's overextending, he still stays and dies, and you just say "Next time listen to my pings", you got 90% chances that we'll listen to you next time. And at low elo, doing one mistake isn't that punitive. And not a lot of player will really ignore you. I did a couple of games on a friend account (he's silver IV), because I was curious on the actual low silver level, and I can tell you that if you do right and ward correctly, your team will listen to you. And if they see 4 enemies coming on them thanks to your wards and you ping them, they will back. People may lack of knowledge, vision or decision making, but most of them aren't stupid.
True Sight (EUNE)
: I was basically forced to main this role, as I didn't want people to flame in champion select, or in-game. Because pick order in bronze is terrible, and usually people that don't get their role, will troll the game.. And yes, I do all the support stuff, and I rarely get a good ad carry to play with me. Sometimes I will go in, and he'll just keep farming, despite all of the "On the way" pings. And sometimes I just want to poke, and my carry will go in and usually die because he can't determine what poke is, or what initiation is.. :S Thanks btw!
I understand the feeling :/ Botlane is the hardest lane to play in my opinion, because you're reliant of the other player of the lane. Whether he is adc or support, if he doesn't understand what you want to do, it'll be hard to win a trade or a fight. Fortunately, most of the time, it's the same for the enemy botlane :) And no worries, the more you'll climb, the better adc you'll met, and they'll understand better. They will follow you while you engage, won't go in when you just want to poke. I can tell you this because I'm an adc/support main (originally only adc main, but I did the same as you, I wanted to fill because people in bronze would troll or/and feed if you don't let them play where they want...), and in season 4, I managed to go from Bronze III to Gold V just by playing bot :) Eventually, you'll find better adc :) And if some day you play with one who seems a little better, or you feel like you've a good synergy with him, don't be reluctant to add him and try out some duoQ. I got lucky because my best friend started playing league again in the middle of season 4 and we had (and still have) the same level. He decided to be a main support, and since them we climbed together :) (We both got Platinium V a few weeks ago :D) Btw, as you didn't mentionned it, try to practice zoning. (If you want me to be more detailed about it, just ask me :D).

Stell (EUNE)
: This is not true. Reporting for unskilled does absolutely nothing to the player. The report function is there solely for data collecting. Confirmed by Riot multiple times.
> Don't worry, Unskilled Player reports do not show up in the Tribunal. Those reports are just for our research, analyses and system features. > We don't ban for that. But we do collect the data and use it for a few things. > There should not be a punishment for being bad at the game. However, we do want matches to be fair, etc. It's one of many data points we can collect. Where do you see in those red post something that goes against what I said. The Riot members only said people won't be banned for it. Here's is a real link on the subject : [Riot Lyte on unskilled player report](https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/2smys1/riot_does_reporting_for_intentional_feeding/cnr3f82) > All of the reports do something, but it varies a lot. > For example, Intentional Feeding reports do help our Intentional Feeder Detection system which aggressively gives 14-day bans to intentional feeders. However, I will note that many players think someone is intentional feeding when they are just having a bad game so there's a lot of analyses that goes into the reports themselves and whether they are accurate. > Unskilled Player reports are used to inform matchmaking updates, but do not directly affect player accounts. For example, if a player is constantly getting Unskilled Player reports then our matchmaking system has wildly misplaced the player, so we can analyze those situations to figure out an improvement to the system. However, players are never banned or penalized for being unskilled. That's exactly what I said : he said the matchmaking misplaced the player, so it lowers his MMR. > In saying this, we generally find that some reports have too much overlap so we may remove some options in the future. For example, when a player feeds an enemy team, some players use Intentional Feeding and some player use Assisting Enemy Team... so there's so much overlap with those reports that we may just remove Assisting Enemy Team.

As I said above, It actually does have an effect on the person's mmr.

: Whats the point Reporting someone for Unskilled player ?
It does have an effect. Reporting someone for unskilled player will put him with players with a lower MMR. So his MMR drop will be higher if he still looses against player with a lower MMR. And if he keeps being reported for that, the system will put him with players who get an even lower MMR that the ones he would have been matched with even while loosing.

: Finally made it to silver!
You can climb as a support. Your impact is as great as any other role, but many people don't see it because supports don't impact games by dealing tons of damage, making pentakills or getting kills. Supports carry game by warding , by getting their allies fed, by using their spells correctly, by zoning in lane, by saving their mates, by doing of of this at the right place in the right time at the right situation. And there is no stats for this. And it might only be harder for a support main to climb as it's really a team play role, and you're kinda team reliant. So wp, my friend :D

: Platinum [Champ pool locked] whine thread
If you want to know about other champions that the ones played during free rotations, you just have to click on them in your profile, or you can search on the net. The 16 champions limit is there for the case all your champions are banned or picked. Let's imagine you're last pick of the game. 6 of your champions get banned. 9 of your others champions get picked. It means you can't play 15 champions you own. What are you going to pick, if you don't have this 16th champion ? As for my part, I believe this limit is also there to prevent most people (the ones that don't buy champions with real money) to try ranked games too early. I remember hitting level 30 with 10 champions I owned. I had one rune page. I just bought six of the less costly champions (it took me some weeks more to get to IP to do it), head into ranked and end up Bronze I, then dropped to Bronze III. I should have waited a bit more, and I always asked myself : where would I have been placed if I could ranked as soon as I hit 30 ? Probably lower.
: I get kicked out of every custom game because I'm diamond
: Ability level up Question
Interesting question... I do not have the answer though...
: Question about season ending
1) After the Worlds Championship. Last season ended the 11th of November, so somewhere around this date. 2) The division doesn't matter. Only the tier does. So if you're Silver V, you get the same rewards as someone in Silver I. What the others mean is that if you're pretty new to the game (How many victories do you have in normal mode ?), you may have been a little lucky during your placement matches. When I first tried rankeds, I ended Bronze I and then got demoted to Bronze III. I had only 150 victories in normal game, and I didn't know a lot about the game yet. But you might be way better than some, and deserve to be there :) (I mean LoL was my first MOBA, I had never played a game like this before). Honestly you can give it a try, but if you see you're losing a lot (like a negative winrate after 20-30games), it may mean that you're either super unlucky or you're not good enough to be in Silver II yet. There are a lot of guides than can help you improving, watching diamond and challengers streams can help too :) What position do you play ? I can find you some good guides on the subject :D
: true, but still my first time everyone communicated AND was friendly
Well I'm actually nice. I'm the one typing in chat 'gj' or 'wp' every time an enemy is slain in the early game, the one who says 'np' when something goes wrong, the one who always tell the team it would be fine if we play it together :) I never flame, almost never stop being really positive, and I always hope I would meet people like me in my games. And when this happens, I'm happy :D But... You got nice allies :)

And I remember Riot stating that to get the skin on Riven, which equals to perfect score, you have to get 124 points.

Actually you have only 36 points to get out of 124 if I remember correctly, so It should be possible :3

: Season 5 Victorious Skin Speculation
Well from my experience they put the Victorious skin on a champ that got huge impact all the season, whether it's in normal, ranked or pro play. They also do it with a champion liked and played a lot by the community. So. Who are ours marksmans ? {{champion:22}} {{champion:51}} {{champion:42}} {{champion:119}} {{champion:81}} {{champion:104}} {{champion:222}} {{champion:429}} {{champion:96}} {{champion:236}} {{champion:21}} {{champion:133}} {{champion:15}} {{champion:18}} {{champion:29}} {{champion:110}} {{champion:67}} Let's put aside the less probable ones : {{champion:51}} : She shone less in this season that she does last one, and even with all the Vayne hype recently, she only starts to pierce the fog of war and I think it's a bit too less, and too late for her to be gifted the skin. {{champion:42}} : Thought relatively played, at all levels, he wasn't clearly the start adc of this season. {{champion:119}} : We all know star ADC Draven. We all know how strong he is. But we also know how hard he is to play correctly, and how he is not that played due to his unique mechanics. There are Draven mains. And the rest. {{champion:429}} : If she hadn't got the Championship skins, I would have bet on her. But she got it. {{champion:96}} : The late game living artillery, whether played AP or AD. But not that popular, especially in lowers elo. {{champion:236}} : Ah, Lucian... Almost 0% winrate in EU LCS, so down after his last nerf... He hasn't shone this season. {{champion:133}} : Just too underplayed. {{champion:29}} : Despite his lately buffs, who made him shine a bit again, definitively not the champion and the marksman of this season. Now the medium ones : {{champion:81}} : When the changes to the jungle items came, AP Ezreal went from globally considered troll or weak pick to an era of terror in the midlane. But the doesn't lasted long, and Ezreal ADC was a bit absent this season. {{champion:104}} : Graves was the must have adc during a long period of time at the beginning of the season, but he has fallen off since, thanks to well deserved nerf. Not saying his not good anymore, but he's surely way more balanced than before. {{champion:21}} : She got a cool story, a cool "rework", but that's pretty much everything. Not that played. A bit more probable in my opinion : {{champion:22}} : She got reworked, then a bit nerfed, but still strong, Ashe finally got a cooler gameplay, and got a lot of fans on the way. Picked in pro play, but not so much, she was overall an adc that finally get the praise of the community. But not as much as some did. {{champion:110}} : When I was starting to believe that I was the only ADC Varus player, the meta changed to a poke one, and the era of Varus mid began. But that didn't make ADC Varus a really more picked champion :'( Then we get to a duo that has dominated the ADC landscape most of the season (Graves' reign ended abruptly, but those mistress stayed close to the throne), at all elos : {{champion:222}} : Jinx. Probably one the biggest, if not the big, fanbase among ADC, played at all elos with passion. She got nerfed on the way, but her pickrate didn't seem to have suffered from it (her winrate did, thought). {{champion:15}} : Sivir. Strong pick, even a must have/ban in pro plays for most of the season. She got nerfed as well, but stayed in the top tier ADC. And now, the two who slowly gained power (direct buff or not) during the season, and when the meta went to the worlds of bruiser, finally shone : {{champion:18}} : Tristana. OP pick currectly. {{champion:67}} : Vayne. Probably needs a nerf. Way too strong in the current meta. I'm not really sure about those two, as they only gained strengh at the end of the season, but who knows.
: Plat ADC LF Supports to duo with
I'm not sure I'm the kind of person you're looking for but... If you want to give it a try :) Support isn't exactly my main role, botlane overall is. What I mean is that I mostly play both adc and support, thought I played adc more in ranked this season as I was duoQing with a support main. Pro : On support role -> I've a huge presence in lane (I'm strong at zoning). I'm not a stupid builder (I really adapt my build from what is needed, and when.) I'm a decent warder. I've a decent map control. I've a good decision making in mid-late game (I climbed to plat pretty much thanks to it). I can adapt to my partner play style (If you wanna play passive or aggressive) and I know what I should be doing based on match-ups. I love following up. May be a bit too much. Bonus : I love pink against stealth enemies because nothing is as good as kill the little kitty who though himself invisible :3 Overall -> I'm friendly and positive (I hate flame more than anything). I never give up, and even if the game is probably done, I'm always trying. Even when I win, I try to see what I could have done better. I'm good at knowing when I did mistakes and what are my strong and weak points. Cons : On support role -> I have a small champion pool as a support (Mostly Sona - Morgana - Leona, but I'm decent on others). I don't have the best mechanics (I believe I climbed plat because I had decent ones and good map awareness, not because I had great mechanics and decent map awareness). I want to help my team way much that I should sometimes, so when one commits, sometimes I just follow blindly :'( If you start a trade, and everyone keeps trading, I'll never be the one who stops it. (What I mean is that one of my weak point is I sometimes make longer trades that what I should have done ><). Overall -> I'm plat V only for a week, and most of my games went wrong because I was forced to play mid, and I simply don't have the level for midlane, so my mmr is a bit fucked up. I don't like voice calls. I won't be here that much on evenings, as I often play League with my IRL friends at this hour. Sometimes I'm just stupid (what I mean is that even thought I swear I wouldn't play ranked after two losses in a row or when I'm too tired, I did it, ended up with bad stats, dying way more than I should have '-'). Oh, and also... I do not have good stats on some supports. This is because I just went dumb mode at the beginning of the season, playing champ in ranked that I hadn't mastered yet, playing when I shouldn't have... Well, my fault. I believe I calmed down since then, but stats can't be erased. I've consistency somehow. I mean... I rarely have a bad game when I'm on good conditions (and I'm then consistent), but I do play on not that good conditions, even when I know I shouldn't, and that's when I've worse scores (but theses score are also consistent). So my stats are kind of a mixture between both. I might not be the player you're looking for, but if you want to give it a try in normal games... :)
: Tierdrop/Teardrop :'(
There is no LP drop because of inactivity below Plat tier. Same applies for division drops and tier drops.

It could be me, if you ready to play with a currently plat V. Pro : On support role -> I've a huge presence in lane (I'm strong at zoning) I'm not a stupid builder (I really adapt my build from what is needed, and when.) I'm a decent warder. I love pink against stealth enemies. I really want my adc to live. I've a good map control. Overall -> I'm friendly and positive (I hate flame more than anything) Cons : On support role -> I have a small champion pool as a support (Mostly Sona - Morgana - Leona, but can go for others) I don't have the best mechanics. I want to help my team way much that I should sometimes, so when one commits, sometimes I just follow blindly :'( Overall -> I'm plat V only for a week, and most of my games went wrong because I was forced to play mid, and I simply don't have the level for midlane, so my mmr is a bit fucked up. : I just had the greatest ranked experience
This is why I never surrender a game. Especially in lowers elo, like Bronze/Silver, when people think a game is won, they start doing mistakes. They don't group, go for 1vs2/3/4/5, get greedy. And this is a chance for the team which is losing to win. You don't wanna know how many games I ended up winning thanks to this even in Gold. Now that I just made it into platinum, players tend to be more careful, so comebacks rarefy... :'(
