: The game itself is not only about KDA, there are a whole lot of things in each lane/champion that u need to learn ! When u focus on a single lane and few champions eventually u will learn the ins and outs of that champion ! Range of his abilities , the coolldowns ( so that u won't have to count or look at the ability to see if it's avaiable ) , ur dmg at any given moment so u know if u can kill him or not , his dmg etc etc It gets boring some times but if u enjoy the lane u chose , the champions u play then u will find urself motivated to play ! Truth be told if u wanna get better then yea start playing ranked ! Beyond the feeders/trollers ppl play to win mostly and then have fun so they do play more " seriously " ! Play normals to have fun try new things , learn other champs ! Playing other lanes IMO is ok if it's normal , so that u get a general idea about other lanes , champs , and fuck around cause u are bored playing ur main role ! But not having a main role/lane/champion will result with you being a jack of all trades , somewhat good in everything but master in none ( unless u are Faker 2.0 ) ! Look ur games in OP.GG and start recording them so that u are able to see them as replays and improve on ur weak points and correct ur mistakes ! U got a great community on West and plenty of ppl offer their help , so remember that u know " nothing " of the game and all you have to do is to listen to what they say ! Also question everything they say so that u actually understand why they said what they said ( eg u need to focus on csing , ok but why ? cause csing is money and exp and 1 kill is equal to 20 cs so if u died once but u have 20 cs more than ur opponent u are actually equal in terms of lvls. items etc etc ) ! GL & HF ~!

First of all, Thanks for the reply! Really appreciate it. I do know what you mean with that, I had played quite a lot of Katarina and Leblanc games during S6 but now that they are reworked its a whole different story as I mean their idea didn't change but the mechanics and skills changed ( 3 targets hit instead of 4 by kata's Q and so much more) Which doesn't mean I'm not motivated anymore, It'll just take time getting used to and to improve on them as to me they do actually feel different. I will start ranked once I feel like I have gotten the hang of Kata(Mid)/Lb(Mid)/Cassio(Top/Mid) then I think I can atleast play my lanes somewhat solid. I'm by no means a faker 2.0 haha, So Think that won't be me mastering all lanes. + I really do enjoy Mid/Top and have played them/fell in love with those roles since I was level 12 or so. Well thanks, I actually didn't know the exact numbers on cs > kill. Now talking about cs, It's definetly not the easiest thing for me when compared to some high gold/plat/diam+ players as I do get way less last hits. Usually during laning phase I do well as long as my opponent isn't too agressive ( Azir vs Kata / Syndra vs Cassio ) So I start late game with the most cs in my team and then when the game finishes up I will have like the 2nd/3rd amount of cs.. So that's something I need to work on. I won't hesitate to ask questions but ofcourse will try to figure them out myself first. Thanks again!

: usually you would just play the roles and champions you're most comfortable with in ranked as you should be trying your best. some people can play any lane and almost any champ with almost no restriction, while others like my self can almost only play one champ. can't really answer your question with cassio sorry about that. well for improvement it's always a good idea to know what it's like on other lanes, so in general is having good game knowlegde can make you go far, playing with better players is okay if you feel like you get something out of it. i would like to go into details but wont do that here. if you want you can add me if you got any other questions ^^
Yeah, I usually just played Katarina really but feel like now with the rework I won't be able to play her much in ranked if I do decide to try it. I'm not sure which champs yo play but if you play Katarina it'd be nice to get some tips on playing her :) I think playing against a high rank player does help me realise on what I am doing wrong as he actually goes off by my mistakes ( and I make a lot.. ) So if I realise what exactly I'm doing wrong I can work on improving that. Will add you tomorrow if that's okay. going to get some sleep.

: Hey man :) Black Lotus already gave some good advice , and i think hes qualified to do so :)! (plat player and mid main) Im plat 4 atm and i mained Zed a while and climbed to gold , but then they reworked him a couple times and he was banned in almost every ranked game , so i decided to move on to other champs. I always wanted to be able to play leblance , bc i saw pros and my opponents do cool stuff on her , but i never really got how her playstyle was supposed to work and after a lost normal i stop playing her again :D ! (not the way to do it btw ^^) Anyway, about 2 months ago i started spamming leblance on my main and on 2 silversmurf accounts and i learned a lot :)! I watched some streamers and pros and noticed some little tricks they make us of. If you like we can go into some custom games and i teach you the things i know atm , from combos , gameplay and itemization. Tiil we do that i have a little present for you :D! (and for anyone else who cares or wanna watch it) This is the link to the replay file of one of my rankdgames in plat a week ago. Just watch the whole game , and make notes whenever you dont know why i did something or why i knew that an enemy would walk this way and i will answer every single question for you :)! Edit : Unfortunate bc of the patch yesterday the game i wanted to show you isnt working anymore ... asa the website uploads the last patch ill give it to you. I can send 5-6 matches and i think from watching them you will learn more than from most youtube tutorials or guides where someone explains the skills at the beginning ;) Sincerely The Elephant {{champion:7}}
Hello Surinam Elephant, first of all thanks for the reply! I actually have been watching quite a few games from "pro" players and observed what they did. A few little tricks i learned from it as well, as for itemization I could definetly use some help as i always tend to build the same with an exception or two, I would really appreciate some tips on gameplay/combo's as well. Another thing i'm trying to improve on now is last hitting as its something i learned from my match vs Black Lotus.. i need to last hit way better as i was sitting at 1/3 of his cs when the game ended. i can last hit pretty well if thats the thing i focus on but not when i have to dodge poke from my opponent and poke him as well. If you could add me in game that would be amazing. I can play a few games pretty much anytime. Either way i'll say it again, Thanks for the reply! really appreciate it.

: I'd say its better if you play annie, veigar and similar champions like them. They are easy to play and will give you the knowledge you need before playing harder champions. For example if your farm is bad on annie and veigar you can still win games but if its bad on a champ like yasuo or leblanc you aren't going to do anything that game. Also you will need to learn good positioning and roaming and its better to learn this on a easy champion first so you can at least win games while doing it. Get level 30 and climb ranked ladder with easy champions, then in gold you can probably start playing leblanc and yasuo. Got friends who started maining yasuo/vayne as soon as they hit lvl 30 and they have been bronze for like 1 year. They watched all these high elo plays and wanted to learn to do that. You can't do any plays like that before high platinum at least because you don't have the general mechanics or game knowledge before that. I'd say that you should play easy champions that are strong. There are many veigar and annie mains in challenger elo btw, they aren't bad in high elo just because they are good in low elo. I also recommend katarina once you have become good in mid lane, if you master katarina in a low elo she is good to climb with a long way. Personally I learned a lot from watching full length youtube videos of the champions I play. I tend to watch a lot of korean challenger since they are much better imo. Watched this nidalee main in korean challenger for a couple days and noted everything he did in routes, ganks, how he teamfights, counterjungling, jungle control and now I got 15/5 in ranked with her and one game I got 16/0 k/d/a. Watch full length laning phases of challenger players and see how they last hit and when, also when they push lane and so on. They also have a lot of tips and tricks, like how you can dive with W on LB at turret without getting hit by one turret shot (you W while the turrets autoattack missile is mid air against a minion, learned this yesterday).
Thanks for replying to my post Zidic, So basicly you would say the champions that have less risks would be prefered for newer/Lower elo players? I mean honestly i understand why you're saying it although i do have a question; woulden't playing a champion you enjoy be better in the sense that its something you like doing and thus not start to annoy you? Then again for improving and learning i think you're probably right. i'll play a few champions that are easier to play and beginner friendly to see if i enjoy them, and if i do I suppose its for the better, If not i'll probably stick to LeBlanc& other mentioned champions as i really love playing her/them.
: Hey im not the most qualified person in the world to tell you what to do however from my thousands of games I learned allot about how the game works especially being a mid lane main. I don't really play many of these champions however im a pretty big zed player right now and I can play Leblanc if I really need to. My biggest advice to a newer player especially one who is eager to main mid is to break your learning into sections of improvement. Pretty much everyone you talk to is going to say CS practice is one of the biggest things in the game and its because its true, you need to practice CS in custom games. My advice is have a notepad open to note your cs score after 10 minutes. Try to only use auto attacks to kill the minions when they are low enough. Last hitting is especially important in losing match ups where if you are CSing better than your opponent you may be able to beat them later when you buy items. Roaming is especially important however its a little more advanced and requires good game knowledge to pull off effectively. Honestly there's allot i could say however I don't feel that i could do it justice in one post. If you would like serious help and are willing to learn then hit me up on league and message me. RES Black Lotus
Hey Black Lotus; First of all thanks for the reply, I have actually been working on my last hitting although when picking up new champions i usually need some time to adapt to how they play, i am not a great cs'er although i woulden't say i'm horrible for my level either. Most of my games i play with level 30 friends which results in me not doing well but atleast i feel like i am learning something. I'll start doing some cs practice in a custom later on today; although I think it makes a bit of a difference having to play around your opponent AND not missing farm rather than just getting the minions. I'll add and PM you in game soon of you don't mind. Thanks Again!
: I actually prefer Q-R-W-(Ignite)-(W)-E-(W) as LB on most Targets, for the double mark proc. Steps in ( ) are optional.
Ah yes i see. This is what i tend to use when in lane; don't really do it later on in the game.
: Also a popular move would be W-Q-R on any squishy target, for example ADCs, and you'll usually be able to do a lot of damage, even one shotting them late game.
Yeah that is something i also read a few times so i'll be sure to try it. I suppose you're talking about doing this when catching their adc out open with a gap or in team fights and go back out afther? I'll be sure to give it a try. Thanks
