: New Dark Harvest
In my opinion the only problem is the way DH is proc'd. It would be way more balanced if DH would e.g. only proc on auto attacks and summoner spells. The fact that it now procs on champion abilities and items makes it kind of toxic for the game. Pretty much every champion can run this keystone and be in a pretty good spot in the game (except for marksmen I think as precision tree has more to offer) because it procs on abilities. As said, I'd suggest letting DH proc only on auto attacks and summoner spells (ignite), and maybe even tune down the permanent damage increase from 8 to 6. I am saying this as a player that enjoys to play karthus a lot, one of my favorites.

: Hextech keys sold for BE
Seems kind of pointless... Riot is already giving away free key fragments about 7/10 times when you log in (if you get honored a few times at least). So to the majority of the playerbase this would be a waste of spending BE, imo. In other words, playing about 15 games and get honored in about 3-5 will grant you 1 or 2 key fragments on your next log in (don't know how that system works exactly, but it feels like this to me). This is a lot less effort than playing for 10 000 BE.

No one is saying MmR is not important to LP gain/loss. We are just saying that there is something off about having a normal MMR and losing much more than you gain. Is it really that hard to get the idea. We are just saying that we find the current LP gain/loss things to be off compared to what our MMR seems to be... Last thing I am typing to you. Because if you can't seem to understand at least a few aspects of our trouble then you are not worth my time.

Rismosch (EUW)
: Sure, but if you manage to keep a 50% winrate and your rank is below your mmr, then your increased LP gain will make you climb and eventually match your mmr.
Not if you are gaining 17 LP, the whole %%%%ing point of this thread...
: Matchmaking works with MMR not rank. Besides... If you want to climb It's best you play against better players. You actually learn something.
I could also learn shit when I reach that actual rank. Your comment adds nothing.
: Broken LP gains.
I get that the game tries to get you to the point of a 50/50 winrate as fast as possible, believe me I really do. But the way they are doing it is kind of off. At one point someone gains 20 LP constantly, and with 1 or 2 losses this drops down to 17 LP. Don't try to deny this, I've seen it happening. And apparently winning the next 4 games doesn't even get you close to gaining 20 LP like you did. The point I'm trying to make is that I think that the current MMR system is not fit for the current state of the game. This system has been quite the same ever since season 3. If one player wins 5 games in a row you get placed in a higher MMR than your actual division. So let's say you are gold 4 and you get matched with players from gold 2. In my opinion this is where the flaw exists. Ofcourse, you gain more LP than you'll lose at that point. But due to your MMR you will at least for about 2 games be matched with players above your level, causing your MMR to drop. I don't see how this makes it easier to climb at all. Losing 2 games vs. winning 1 = 2*-16 + 1*23 LP = -9LP. And then you could win 2 games as well and the same shit starts over again.

You literally have the reading ability of a brick, don't you? Smurfing is considered playing below your skill level. A guy playing in silver 2 while he is silver 1 is not smurfing, that's just playing on a second account. Get your definitions on point before you speak. I don't need to give you statistics since these numbers are taken from my own experience.. Still, playing normal does not have any pressure, so I don't see any good point you are making with the last citation...

: When did I say smurfs don't know how to play support ? I was actually a support-only main when I did this thing with Teemo, so I knew exactly what I was doing. You can play many champs as supports depending on the matchup. Even though Teemo doesn't seem like the perfect support - against a Kog Maw (who was top tier meta at this point) it can be quiet usefull. Same goes for many other champs. Sometimes the perfect Support in a matchup isn't a support champion. Only thing you're right with is that smurfs are breaking the experience. MMR Ratio remains untouched because smurfs - just as bad players - are "balanced". Sure you might have an unlucky streak where you play against 4 smurfs in a row, but if you play **Many** rankeds, you will win just as many games due to smurfs aswell. [I once had a discussion on this board where someone said that because you basically can only have 4 teammates your chance of getting a smurf is slightly lower - and this is right - but keep in mind that this diffrence is super small and you wont notice unless you play a few thousand rankeds. Additionally: Smurf does not equally mean good player. I'm not a super good player myself but I got tons of smurfs. The chances of getting a real diamond or higher smurf in your team are SUPER low because of the low playerbase in those elos. (Diamond + Master + Challenger only makes up 2% of the playerbase - meeting a smurf of those few players in a low elo game is very unlikely (even though most smurfs will tell you they're dia 3 or something)). Most smurfs you will actually meet are Gold or Plat. If you're in silver, gold shouldn't be too unfair as a matchup and as you can also be matched against plat in solo/duo Q, plat isn't too bad either. So the only place where smurfs really hurt the game experience is Bronze or low silver.
First of all, a SMURF implies that the player is from a higher elo, let's say a platinum player playing in silver. Even when the player has bad mechanics he/she will have a much better understanding of the game and macro-play. This actually influences the game in a bad manner. Secondly, if you are on a lose streak due to smurfs you will get a bad winrate, right? This affects your MMR and LP gain/loss. The fact that e.g. new players are gaining less LP than they lose (say a 18 to 21 ratio) does not really make this new player play the game more. For example (and this is not ranked): A friend of mine JUST started playing the game (brand new player), he played a few games and won those. When he was about level 7 or 10 he got matched up with a level 107 PLATINUM 4 player. Tell me, how does this make my friend enjoy the game?

: And again, someone who does not understand why smurfs are used. There are several reasons. Feeling better is most likely the rarest one since winning without a real challenge is just as winning without a competition - it's not a win. The real reasons for smurfs: 1. You want to see how far you can go with certain stuff in lower elos. Example: When my first smurf hit lvl 30 I went straight into ranked. My goal was to achieve the highest rank I could get only with picks like Teemo Support. It was alot of fun and it was quiet succsesfull - it was especially fun because the elo my smurf got in wasn't much lower than my main account at that time - which is funny because I struggled alot on my main but it was easy on my smurf. **My smurf taught me to be more relaxed in rankeds and this actually helped me impove ALOT. ** 2. You want to duoQ with friends. I'm not talking about boosting (that's an option too tho, if you're good enough), I'm talking about playing duos with a friend because you don't want to play on your main account. I don't like playing rankeds with some friends on my main account because even though they are nice guys and super chill, they're not optimized teammates for my rankeds (especially when there's a big elo diffrence and therefore their matchup is super bad). Sooo a smurf comes in handy. 3. You just want to have fun. Well, this seems to contradict my first point, but listen: Imagine you had some really really frustrating games. Now you want to play a casual game but damn, your normal game mmr is even higher than your ranked mmr and therefore you wont be able to play a casual normalgame without trying too hard to win at all and still have fun. So, playing on a smurf is basically harder than playing a botgame, but not hard enough to be stressfull. It's just a relaxing experience even if you lose. -> Keep in mind that this point almost only applies to normal games played on a smurf. I usually never play normal games on my smurf since I never got into this situation - but I know it exists. 4. High elo players who want to see how fast they can climb back up and who want a clean Winrate in a higher elo because it looks sick. They don't really hurt the system, there's no big problem with those guys. So the conclusion of this post is: Smurfs usually don't play on their smurf just to win some easy games, they most likely don't even have fun while winning easy games. However, they can have more fun due to playing with no risk but high reward. As a smurf you can't lose any rank, but you can only win. If you lose, you win - and if you win, you win even more. **Smurfs are the perfect opportuinity for competetive players to just relax and enjoy League as what it actually is - a game.**

apart from playing with a friend, all of your points are an exact description of the "it makes you feel better" part of the post... Most smurfs ARE in fact ruining games (I'm not talking about all of them) just because they are picking strange shit that people at lower elo do not know how to handle (playing with or against). Also, 8/10 smurfs start to troll as soon as their pick doesn't work out or they go AFK because it is a waste of time. I've seen this shit enough in the past 6 years and the last 2 years it's becoming worse and worse.

Riot said a long time ago that they know "trolls" are a problem cause it's hard to see if they are trolling or just bad so they cant punish it. A thing they could do is rewiev games manualy (like in csgo) but that would just take way too long .
Have you ever played Ranked Flex in silver 3 and below? This shit does not happen once every 100 games but 3 or 4 times every 10 games... On the other hand, Riot hasn't been putting any effort into a good Ranked Flex matchmaking ever since they invented that crap. A mate of mine (Silver 2 solo/duo & bronze 1 Flex) got matched up with a player who was Platinum 4 solo/duo and Gold 3 in Flex. I know it might have been a duoq in Flex, but it is still ridiculous.

: Because MMR is a more accurate representation of your current skill, and is thus better used for matchmaking. Having a high MMR means that your current rank is too low, and will help you climb. This happens by increasing the amount of LP you get from a victory, while reducing the amount of LP you lose from a loss. If your current skill matches that of a gold 1 player, it's more fair that you play with them, rather than those that are less skilled than yourself.
"A high MMR makes you climb", this is an actual lie that has been told by Riot and their fans, imo. If your MMR gets high (and you are gold 4 for example) you will automatically be matched up with higher ranked players (let's say gold 1). Playing with higher ranks makes the chance to have a 50/50 winrate more likely, therefore climbing is actually made harder. For this sole reason people believe the current rank system has become too much of a grind.

Would you guys mind linking to a match history game where this issue occurred? Specifically any from this post onwards would be helpful, as we have had some early changes in the patch to alleviate some issues which may be related. Please also include your r3dlogs from the game in question: * Go to "C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\Logs\GameLog\*date-time of game*\Game - R3d Logs\" * Select the latest "r3dlog.txt" file * Open it using notepad or a similar program * Select everything (ctrl + A) and copy it * Go to [pastebin.com](http://pastebin.com/) and paste the content there * Set the expiration date to 1 week * Submit it * Share the link with us On top of this, any information you can provide would be helpful, such as: - Did you have any crashes or issues during loading? - Did you see anyone take a long time to load (stuck at 0%?) - or were you one? - Did other players mention what they saw for you during loading screen? Any information is appreciated - thank you!
I could refer to almost my entire match history of last week and a half xD

Define many and cite the sources where they claim they want it for those reasons, protip, if you're not talking a significant percentage of the playerbase its not worth it for riot to bother with, and seeing as enough people didn't want to play it in the first place....., well you can see where this logic path is going > Riot only removed it based on playrate and "staleness of the game". They never looked into what the game was doing for the community. I think that's also an important aspect if you want to maintain a community in a good shape. They looked at how many people actually played it and weighed the maintenance cost of a mode very few people played with the loss of removing it, they chose to remove it as was costing them more in terms of manpower and resources than it was providing, i've still not seen any actual evidence to back up your claims that people were using it for the uses you list, yes YOU might have been doing that but i just use ARAM to blow off steam, always did, dominion was just boring so i never bothered touching it again, you're going to have to provide a LOT of evidence and a very long player list for riot to even consider making it worth re-adding, https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/features/retiring-dominion remember it was only 0.5% of the playerbase who were even playing dominion and they admit that some of that was bots so it really wasn't being used by very many people and even if all 0.5% used it for what you described that is still a literal drop in the bucket
Since you are clearly narrowminded this will be my last response to you. I already said that I know that Dominion had a low playrate because many people were not playing it FREQUENT enough. To back this up "actively played" means that they played frequently, which many people didn't do enough. This, however, does not mean that many people did not enjoy the game mode. And I understand that the maintainance might not have been worth, but let's be honest... how frequent is Twisted Treeline updated nowadays and in the past? Anyway, I don't see you providing your statements to counteract my statements yours are as invalid as you call mine :). I thank you for the link to the 0.5% which I already knew about, and actually if you read my post careful enough mentioned in another way. Actively = frequent enough in Riot's terms.

Again, citation needed. You are pulling statements out of thin air. Also, Dominion was retired in early 2016.
1. Testing champions in practise tool and in a PVP are two totally different things. I think people rather test champions against other players than in an isolated environment. And most players don't want to first train in practise tool before they can actually play in a PVP. 2. I can remember that Dominion was shorter. I'm just not sure about the exact numbers. 3. The analogy is not perfect at all. And if you really are to say that people don't think the toxicity increased you are truly delusional. 4. As my statement is saying it could be either things. Riot has been open about playerbase statistics for quite a long time, except for the last 2-3 seasons (?). In my eyes that is suspicious and reason enough to believe that the base is decreasing. And if you want to prove me wrong I would like to see you citate that. Because you have nothing to show to prove me wrong right now.
: Maybe u dont like it as many people, but Battle Royale is now trend . Every game want to make something like that even old FPS games. Look it in way of marketing, if they promote that kind of game (mode) they will profit more. Gaming companies as other companies are moving with trends, just like mobile apps copied League now they all do same with PUBG and Fortnite. For us is either to accept it or to move out of way.
I know, but like I said, I have an inpopular opinion about Battle Royale. And the way Riot is incorporating it in Nexus Blitz seems kind of off compared to the real deal.

: > I think we could almost all agree that the removal of Dominion was a very bad idea of some of Riot's employees, right? Nope, the game mode was stale and nobody bothered to play it, keeping it in just added work for no good reason > Many people REALLY enjoyed playing Dominion If "many" people actually enjoyed playing it then they wouldn't have removed it, the queue was not worth sustaining meaning it had too few players to make it worthwhile, so where is this "many" you speak of > People were able to test champions and/or train their mechanics You had bot matches and SR matches for that, dominion wasn't exactly a worthwhile learning tool > It was a fast game mode, so if you had little time to play you could play Dominion So is ARAM, and it starts faster and has more players :P > Dominion had a really good effect on tilted players, it basically was an untilting game mode. Citation needed > Therefore it was a shame that Dominion was retired in 2016 due to the low playrates. In my opinion this game wasn't about the playrates, but about the effects and purposes described above. There was no point in sustaining a queue that had no players and it added loads of extra QA work for no real gain, hence it was removed
For this one also look at my reply to Febos. I cannot give you any citation since no research was done and published by Riot concerning player behaviour before and after removal of Dominion. Maybe they should look into that. If they can prove me wrong I will reject my statement.
: 1. many but not most 2. you can do it in normals, aram, rgm and practice tools 3. now rgm and aram 15-20min top are enough. 4. honestly, if whole game is tilting, then every mode is tilting. In aram is tolerating that people dont know some random champs, in dominion u have to know, and if u screw something its tilting. It's vintage now, people want something new, like Battle royale mode that is popular this year. Maybe in some rgm to put dominion while we wait another patch or event. It could be good like that, but for permanent game mode ,nah.
For most of your points: look at what I replied to Febos. And in my opinion (which is probably not a popular one) I think it is weak of Riot to follow up on trends like Battle Royale rather than inventing something absolutely new. Because I think League is not fit for a Battle Royale kind of game mode..

: Almost all agreed ? you know they remove it because was the least played mode by the elast players so that's not "almost all" ! You base your perceptions by your point of view and group of your friends. Its like me saying nobody played dominion because I hated that mode and didn't play it more then 5 times and also my friends. But i don't say that since i am sure they were many player that enjoy it. But still by riot statistic was not very popular. "Dominion had a really good effect on tilted players, it basically was an untitled game mode." by what i saw in forums in dominion last months of life, dominion was full of leveling bots and almost unplayable because of that
Like I said in my post, I am aware that Dominion had a low playrate... I'm just stating that it had some purposes to the community that could've still been beneficial to us. Besides, a low playrate doesn't mean that many people didn't enjoy playing it. They just didn't play it frequent enough in Riot's opinion. The statement you are making about me and my friends counteracts you saying that you and your friends didn't enjoy it. Therefore I consider your argument to be invalid. But yes, some people hate it, just like some people hate ARAM. That doesn't mean most of us enjoyed the game mode.

So please Riot. Please listen to thousands of people that actually miss Dominion. They don't owe us anything. That said, I believe they intend on making Nexus Blitz a permanent mode. It checks, at least, 3 of the three thing you mentioned about Dominion.
1. Practise tool isn't that good imo, PVP is way better. Even Co-op is better. 2. Maybe people want to play something else than co-op on SR and still being able to play a particular champ in a short game. 3. I might be wrong about the times, but I am quite sure Dominion lasted shorter than ARAM. 4. Comparing it to a flat earth is comparing apples to pears... since season 7 the playerbase almost didn't increase or even decrease. Many people have quit the game or are thinking of quiting the game if things won't get better in season 9. This might not apply to all players, but we can't all be holding Riots back forever like a fangirl. 5. They do owe us. If I remember correctly they have said things back in season 1-3 that new game modes were about to come. And to some extend they delivered, but none of them were ever permanent. So that's why I'm not keeping my hopes up on Nexus Blitz at all.

: 3 vs 3, twisted treeline
Probably not. They only care about Summoner's Rift. The reason Twisted Treeline still exists is because they cared just a little more about it than Dominion, and because they keep every other game mode on temporarily. To be honest, if Riot wants to increase their fanbase again, in my opinion they should release some of their game modes permanently. Like, Dominion was used for multiple reasons: Many people REALLY liked it, and many others used it to un-tilt from ranked games on SR. I actually believe that the removal of Dominion could be directly correlated to the increasing toxicity in the past few seasons XD.

: wasn't grave pre rework a clore range burster while lucian was a long range poker ? grave had to all in and use his W well. lucian is an agile champ. they did not compete in the same place, else, what do you say about ez ?
I still like the old Graves way better than the one we have now. He was designed as an adc for crying out loud, not as a jungler. I'm just tired of Riot trying to move champs to different lanes. Like moving pretty much every 'old' midlane champ (Morgana, lux, brand and even veigar) to the support role. To be fair, control mages need to get some buffs to be actually CONTROLLING something, because now they get shit on by every single assassin or tank at any level (pre and post level 6)
: Dear riot balance team xD
League will probably die out if season 9 sucks as well. A large amount of people of both the old fanbase and the new base think the game sucks right now. Just many of them do not want to give up yet, they wanna give League another chance to do good after 2 terrible seasons...
: Well shit holmes xD where'd you get 300g per death then? xDD
please stop being an annoying prick. Everyone knows what's meant with that sentence...
: Revert fizz's old w
just saying, this is kind of how the OLD fizz W used to work. You are talking about the reworked one

no shit sherlock, but you're still worth more than a creep

: >My observation was that every game 2-3 players load into the game 20+ seconds later than should be (I have asked them and they confirmed the issue). I also asked a friend of mine to keep track of this issue, and the same thing was observed. so its not everyone, this means the problem is at your end, not riots, check your drivers, make a clean install etc
Might be, but Riot did create the problem since I have never had this problem before in 8 seasons.
