Mute them all. // First thing I do when I get into a game, if I don't want to have one line detrimental conversations with the bot-like league community is /mute all and mute pings.
It is quite sad that you need to mute all when you get into a game because the community cannot behave itself. That seems to defeat the purpose of this being a SOCIAL online game. You know to play with and against new people and make new friends.

: As I said, I rarely ever see such things in my games. Most of the time chat simply remains silent. :/ But without arrogance humans wouldn't be nearly as interesting. :c
Well if you consider childish, arrogant behavior "interesting", I really have to question your logical. I think people who are arrogant, are people that haven't grown up yet.
Eveninn (EUW)
: I've been playing only normal games for a while now, and whenever I play solo I never had anyone feel the need to say anything that could be take as insulting. :o Humanity is not worth safing unless they manage so by themselfs, that's why people try to work on it. ^^
Well then you are graced with lucky games because pretty much every game, there is somebody there that tries to show off by saying things like "Rekt" or "Ezi" or spamming that damn mastery emote over and over again. Its a display of arrogance that should have died out in the playground years ago in that person's life.

: What supports are best to carry low ELO(Bronze/silver)?
I personally recommend {{champion:44}}. He's not played much and he's my personal main. He can be difficult to get used to at first as rather then spamming abilities, you need to choose when is the best time to deploy his skills but if you get it right, the results are incredible. For example, I had one game where we were setting up for a 5v5 teamfight and the enemy {{champion:1}} did her usual thing of trying to flash in and use Tibbers but because I had anticipated that and put my ult down about a second before, Tibbers did NO damage to any of our team and we proceeded to wipe their team out and win the game. However their are very obvious limits to using Taric, 1. He does hardly any damage on his own and is more heavily reliant on his team (Which is why you probably don't see him played much at low ELO) 2. DO NOT take him if the enemy team has {{champion:55}} or some other powerful burst assassin because his ult has a delay before it activates which will make him worthless if you Kata jumps in and kills your ADC before you have a chance to use it. But yeah, generally, I find him so much fun to use and his stun can really help to set up plays, especially if you can land it on multiple enemy champions at once. He does take a bit of understanding to use right, especially with his W and his Q which requires position awareness but he can be devastating if you take the time to learn him. He also provides a very useful counter to both {{champion:53}} and {{champion:412}} as they will not want to pull you. If they do, they are going to get his stun in their face and that can turn the fight into your favor. Both champions are pretty common at low ELO so he makes a good choice when going against either of these. Just my thoughts...

: The point of Taliyah is to win sidelines thanks to her ability to push and roam fast. In teamfights she is annoying spell spam that eventually kills something. Lissandra on other hand is Syndra with dash, so basically bad champion with toxic gameplay pattern that unfortunately forces her to being useless, since unlike Syndra Liss actually has even mobility.
{{champion:127}} has ONE mobility spell with a massive cooldown when you compare it to other mobility spells in the game. {{champion:163}} does not even pay anything for her mobility. {{champion:127}} is not a toxic champion at all, she's designed to lock down a target but just one. Taliyah on the other hand can slow an entire team and flip multiple people into danger.

: just buy banshees veil, le blanc kind of sucks in this meta due to how the supports keep building tonnes of shield type items and janna is very popular. As a vel'koz main i play safe, if she tries to approach me in lane i throw a q at her face and repeat this. Then rush banshees veil, veil hard counters her so badly she has to firstly waste a jump and a q just to remove the veil and then engage on you. This usually results in the le blanc just prioritising other champs other than you. She also sucks against tanks.
She may do, but I'm not asking how to counter her. I play tanks so its not an issue but I want to know WHY she's designed that way and why she deserves to have mobility that allows her to escape in and out so easily while having obscene damage numbers.

: > all their abilities are more based around misdirection, deceit and lying So,you want a champion whose abilities can be countered by not moving or moving towards the ability?
Yeah, something like that, but in a more non-combative way etc.

: The Ultimate could have a short cool-down (like Karma/LeBlanc), but when used creates a false copy of a basic ability that deals no damage and instead marks the enemy.

: let me explain assassins in a nutshell, early game you can poke them a little since their strength isnt instantly built, then you have to be a bit more careful and play safer even if you miss cs for that but if they cant get ahead they are basically screwed, especially if you buy the right items. its not that hard really but i understand it can sometimes be a pain in the a*s
Yes but the problem is, there are not enough defensive items that sufficiently counter them and most of them are not available earlier in the game. I am sick to death of playing my lane well, forcing an assassin out of lane and SS'ing and then they go bot and kill both the ADC and Support because they weren't looking and they go from base so there is no indication of where they are going to go.
Fathands (EUW)
: tl;dr "I don't know how to deal with assassins so they are OP."
Yeah, whatever... If you actually READ what I wrote, you would understand that I am annoyed by the obvious LACK of defensive item picks and strategies against assassins because they get unfair mobility and damage advantages.
SoulBawz (EUW)
: i understand most of your points however you are wrong about a few things, assassins in particular are way more vulnerable to either being outplayed our countermeasures, like if you face a trundle and you try to build anti-trundle, lets say cleaver and what not if you are melee, it wont be as effective as when you buy lets say a thornmail against an ad assassin, and to add to that, assassins are very weak if they lose the early game and easy to shut down if you know how to do so, other champions wont go too far behind since their strength doesnt come from having the lead like most assassins do EDIT: i do like the point you are making and i understand where you're coming from
I understand what you are saying but assassins FORCE you to fight them or they just ignore you and leave lane looking to pick on some other unfortunate laner. Why do you HAVE to fight them. There are lots of more passive picks and you get PUNISHED for not fighting them and farming your lane. Its ridiculous. A champion should not force you into a fight where you will lose because assassins have about 50 free combat advantages and mobility built into their kit.

: I think rito have probably held off on class-locking items as a lot of people would complain about having less choice for alternative builds, regardless of whether or not those builds are terrible.
However by not doing that, it makes the game much much harder to balance. Most champions build the same thing every game anyway, whatever happens to be the strongest.
: Im not too knowledgeable on whether or not {{item:3109}} is any good for junglers. But if it works, people are gonna use it. Same reason some adc's take {{item:3147}} As for locking {{item:3109}} down to supports, that would kinda suck. If you have an AP support who isn't gonna buy it, some top laners might be able to make good use of it for the mid-late game.

But if it works, people are gonna use it. Same reason some adc's take {{item:3147}} Again, this has been a consistent problem in this game and why I believe that only certain classes should have access to certain items. It makes the game much easier to balance.

: Permabans are not used because Riot likes them or because anyone thinks they are the perfect solution, but because they are the only solution. If a player refuses to adapt his behavior and ruins the fun for other players constantly despite being warned about it multiple times, there is simply nothing else you can but to try to get rid of him permanently, which works for some of them, but, as you correctly pointed out, not all of them. Now about your suggestion: IP bans There are multiple reasons why this is not possible. The most important one is that they wouldn't work. Thanks to Dynamic IP, everyone IP changes every 24 hours. Secondly changing your IP is not at all difficult. And thirdly banning an IP also means that you ban every other person playing on that IP, for example every student from an entire university, everyone living the same living community, everyone in the same family, everyone in the same internet cafe etc. etc. In other words: IP bans are not a thing and they don't work and if they would they would be bad, because they would ban millions of innocent players along with the guilty ones. > people will actually get a form of punishment in the real world by their "brother" or other family members that play League as well and LEARN SOMETHING from the experience. So you would be fine with being permabanned because of something a complete stranger did while you are completely innocent? I strongly doubt that. But that's precisely what IP bans mean. Or would mean, if they worked.
Then how would you suggest they make it fairer for everyone, instead of just the people at the top. Maybe mark accounts, so they only play with other toxic accounts?
: > , they would give IP bans. And?I will restart my router and troll again. You know that the 90% of EU uses DYNAMIC IP and not STATIC IP address? They just can't use ip bans because they don't exist. It's a myth at least for EU. If you ban my IP i can change it whenever i want.I can even use a VPN which will do this dirty job too. The only way to solve this is to imporve these players which is pretty impossible or to ban them way faster before they ruin a lot low lv games.
That is impossible to improve the mindset of these players. The problem is, children today are not brought up to respect their elders or authority. They are told they are "special" from a young age so they grow up to believe this tripe and when playing this game, you are not more special then anyone else on your team and need to act collectively in order to win. The feeling of "self-entitlement" is so absorbed by the EU that it is a cultural issue, not one that Riot can solve. But it is COMPLETELY UNFAIR to have new players be faced with horribly toxic games because Riot forces all the toxic players to recreate accounts again. As I said, that does not solve anything, that just creates an elitist environment where people at the top get all the benefit of toxic-free games while everyone else suffers.

: Normally the "hard" to play champs are hard because they are more versatile in their kits which allows for more outplay potential, as well as the versatility giving a bit more unpredictability Easy champions are the opposite. They are linear and thus predictable.
By versatile, you mean "overloaded" - *cough* {{champion:157}}, {{champion:245}}, {{champion:412}} *cough*

Nope, its just how Yi is played by people who must just be horrible people because it requires you to be an oppotunistic bully to actually play him.
: Oh and it's funny how you trash on Yi players in the end. I'd like to see you pick Yi every game and climb to Challenger, because he is so easy and can camp on every lane, right?
I know in higher elos you can't do that but in low level games, yi will ALWAYS pick on the weakest player. Which is never me because I'm not stupid enough to take somebody without CC. But its always the same, he will ALWAYS bully the weakest player and that must be the mentality of people that play him. Probably people who enjoyed bullying others in school as well.

: You know why assassins aren't played in the pro scene? Because mages like Syndra, Leblanc and Viktor can oneshot people just as well as assassins while not having to dive in themselves. A Zed kill combo requires him to dive into your whole team, meanwhile Syndra can litterally just use her abilities and press R and ghost away. Assassins are ASSASSINS, they are good at killing people by themselves and small fights, but have nowhere the power and safety burst mages have. They are the most complained around because the thrive on players' mistakes. Farming bot? Assassinated? Sums down? Assassinated... Take Zed fore example. One of the assassins that has been complained about the most. Barely 47% winrate. Zed is a horrible champion right now. Does nothing in teamfights. Does nothing in late game where everyone has 100+ armor. They are reliant on cheesing the game early and carrying from there. _____ But of course, you can't change the mind of someone who hates assassins. I personally hate Fizz, not because he is OP. But i cant deal with his level 6. Thats a mistake i do and i cant seem to find a solution to. Zed, Talon and LeBlanc? Hah, just dont feed and let the game go 30+ mins, and it is basically won
Leblanc IS an assassin, just an AP one. Syndra is unique in that she has an assassins damage in a mage.

I'm just listing the truth about being a professional player. Its a very hard and terrible existence and I wouldn't want that for myself or anyone else. People do not realize how hard it is, to be a professional at any sport or game. Free feel to disbelieve me but its not an easy existence and if you cannot take the truth about it, then I feel very sorry for you.
: How is it fair that I lose elo when two teammates are afk? :(
Because its a game and it doesn't actually matter. You still have two arms, two legs and a heart that beats. You still live in your house, in the real world. So how does it matter?

: Zilean's Passive
I agree, I think his passive is terrible and does not fit his theme at all. I would prefer something more useful, like a smaller {{champion:90}} passive for him but with slows. So every 30 seconds or so, he cannot be slowed by a champion ability. I mean come on, he's the master of TIME, so surely his passive should reflect that and every champion and their mother has some form of slow so I cannot see this be particularly overpowered.
