: Get can mean anything, from buying to earning. More so a lot of us where gonna be putting money down during events anyway, that’s how you get skins in the first place. So by getting stuff during events which we where gonna do regardless you can get prestige points. So yea( its still gonna be for money riot gotta get money somehow from a free to play game, but it’s from payments of things we are already buying and getting our money’s worth from... if you don’t want to buy the prestige skins you are prob not gonna be participating in events like this regardless. And again it’s a free to play game... there’s something you don’t think is worth the money, then don’t buy it... it’s really not that big of a deal if you don’t so it’s really not a big deal at all. > As for Mastery skins, they can easily recolour every base skin, you act like this is a difficult thing to accomplish, the reason other skins take time to create is that most if not all change the vectors of the model. Giving someone a prestige recolour of the base skin for earning 1 million MP is not as difficult a task as you make out. That’s still a very large undertaking... Think about it, we get about 10 chromas a month, this is 150 plus any new champions... that’s a years worth of chromas, sold for nothing.... that’s assuming they are cheap recolours if they are prestige skins like what you are asking for we get one of those a month, so 150 months worth of prestige skins, aka 12.5 years. So either they are really cheap and bad chromas so that riot can actually get them out which would still dig into profits (which is risky in a free to play game), or they are prestige level chromas and you are looking at years worth of work going down the drain. So no not realistic Not to mention the inevitable “x champions mastery skin is better than y champion’s one this is unfair” complaints... ultimatly no mater what riot does they are gonna be hated for it. > Also mastery points were not around in season 1. No shit Sherlock you completely missed what I was saying... if riot where gonna have a system where there’s a skin or reward personalised for each champion you need it early on in the game’s life so that the system can be in place while the work load is much smaller... doing this for 30 champions is much more realistic than 150. > Also they're releasing ANOTHER prestige skin, this time for Vayne, before at all announcing any other way of obtaining prestige points. Bare in mind here that all they are doing is simply RESKINNING a model they have already made, and then charging a ludicrous amount for it. Obviously it remains to be seen if the Fire cracker vayne prestige skin is also limited time availability, but I would wager it being so. Yes because each event will have a prestige skin... there was the blood moon event which only had bundles, and now the lunar revel events which will have opportunities for us to get more prestige points.
There was zero opportunity to actually get real prestige points, I have 1 after completing the event, and granted I was wrong about the vayne skin, but was still correct about aatrox. As for chromas, the prestige skins are a recoloured skin, during the skinning process, they change the colour scheme, the actual real cost in time is developing the ACTUAL skin for a champion, changing vertices on the skeletal model and creating the right points that bind the skin to the model, the skin will be designed and then recolouring is a trivial process, this is why they can release 5 chromas with some new skins very easily, they only have to decide on the scheme of colours. It is not unreasonable for them to recolour base skins as we have chromas for caitlyn for example. I don't know maybe they smack a small mastery 7 emote and give the m7 colour as a small reskin, this would be riot showing a bit of dedication to the fanbase rather than the wallet base. The time devotion to creating an m7 skin change would go like this 1: decide on design/colour scheme 2: possible to do 1 every day but let's say 1 every 2.5 days equalling roughly a year of very easy work. 3:release m7 skins, EASY just blam them in all at the start of season or preseason patch, create buzz with the clickbait of riot adds 100+ skins to the game, brings in customers, brings in more custom skins being bought, brings in more money. The effects of them having a small or even 1 person team for a year on creating mastery chromas for m7's COULD be an extra 1-3% in profits, which is huge. While retaining others in the player base that may be disenfranchised by the addition of mostly skins that cost £6-10 upwards. You are far complicating the process of reskinning, hell I used to make custom skins for games back in the early 2000s, eg for games such as red alert 2 and emperor battle for dune. I was 12, and trained myself, it would take maybe 2 weekends of working on it, so I'm sure a team of professionals, could recolour and add an icon they already have a much larger version of to the entire champ base very easily.
: You OWN the vehicle, yes, as long as you follow traffic rules. Which if you don't, you lose your traffic license and potentially your vehicle. This conversation has to do with why overpriced products exist. If you think such digital content as skins are not a product because you find it difficult to behave, please don't tell me my argument is invalid. -edit- I want to add something here. Regardless of ownership, 250K for a car are way too much money. This is the connection here between prestige skins and overpriced products. If you give your money to buy, use, rent or whatever, it doesn't matter. The fact is, the price tag is somewhat unjustified. If you don't like that, it's fine, I don't either. But these are luxury goods.
Here's why it's not a great comparison, the production value for a high end automobile, I'm going to compare an Aston Martin DB11 in this for you, a $200k car(average basic price). Considering I cannot find any actual cost for the parts, let's say it costs 50% of the sale price to produce the car. The car has uses, getting from a to b, motorsport, social status. The skin has the ability to make you look different. The car has a long life guarantee, can be altered/repaired/resold, you also OWN the car in your contract. The skin, Riot owns, you cannot modify OR resell while staying in leagues ToS and repair is moot. So the only thing the skin is giving is social status, it is not akin to a car, that has actual life value(regardless of price since you can buy 2nd hand cars that will still achieve you a social status for say, the price of a new $20k car and some modifications to it) It is more akin to a pair of Armani Jeans, except these jeans still have real value, can wear them, and still OWN them. All league products are basically rentals you have a small chance of sometimes getting as a free thing(except prestige skins i know). This is why it's a bad comparison. A GOOD comparison would be something like, pre-order specials that cost $100+ for random low quality crap like people got with fallout 76. Hope this helps you understand why I feel this is a bad comparison.
: Unpopular opinion. I do not agree with the prices on these skins. But then again, I do not agree with the prices of many skins. However, if someone wants to donate for whatever reason, then why not? There are probably people who want to get something rare to show off. Or they just want to flex. Complaining about these things is like complaining about the price of lamborghinis- I mean they are just cars. Why do I have to pay 250K for just a car? Oh yea! I don't. So, personally I don't think about it. Why would I even care? {{sticker:vayne-pose}} Upvote if you think I am a beta :^)
I get your trolling is absolutely amazing, however comparing a vehicle you OWN after signing the contract, to digital content that Riot RETAINS OWNERSHIP OF (this is in the ToS, none of what your account "owns" is actually owned by you, the player.) is completely illogical, and you should try to put forth a much more convincing argument when trolling to up your game. Also it's likely that this increase in high priced content being released on the back end of this year is due to a possible court settlement on riots part.
: But if you actually read what riot have said about prestige points you will realise there’s other ways to earn prestige points we just haven’t had a chance to yet, you earn the points through events, we’ve had no events yet, therefore no chance to earn prestige points. > I feel prestige skins should be skins to show off maybe a million mastery points. Riot would have to make and release enough prestige skins for every single champion... that’s 150 skins to develop and release simultaneous... that’s a stupidly high undertaking and is not ever gonna be realistic... if riot wanted to do mastery skins they needed to start doing them S1, it’s too late now.
Okay so, two things, if you'd read the whole of the original post you'd of seen that I actually INCLUDED the quote where they said there would be other ways to GET prestige points, this is very different from EARNING prestige points. Also mastery points were not around in season 1. Given that THIS Aatrox skin, which is basically a CHROMA is limited time availability and there is currently NO OTHER WAY TO GET PRESTIGE POINTS THAN PURCHASING BUNDLES (emphasis required on this) can you not understand how Riot's business practice is actually quite unethical pertaining to this? It may actually be one of the worst microtransaction practices I've seen in the last few years and there are many that have hit headlines.

: Can you purchase a prestige skin without the original skin?
: The prestige skins are rewards for participating in events, you will get opportunities to get prestige points throughout the year and to spend these prestige points on any of the prestige skins released that year. So that £125 price tag is just for people who want to skip earning and outright buy it... which is fair... the rest of us will get a chance to obtain one or two of the prestige skins just by joining in with the events this year.
If you read the text on the aatrox skin, it is only available until january 31st and there is no other way to get it other than buying prestige points, prestige skins are still a reward for participating in events, but you have to participate so much. I feel prestige skins should be skins to show off maybe a million mastery points. skins for people who don't want to spend but play the game a lot as a devoted fan, rather than moneybags or kids with their parents credit card.

His team didn't like that strategy and didn't agree to it, yet he kept doing same thing, which meant, that he's "refusing to work with team" (which was one of the reasons of the warning he got). So, even if he was supporting with singed with ghost/smite and was just staying in lane, doing support things, he might've got a few reports, but Riot wouldn't even care about it. If that would happen in LCS, 2nd botlaner would've just picked something he can 1v2 with and they'd play around counterjungling and there wouldn't be ANY complaints, because everyone agreed on that. The reason I pointed out that specific case is because Riot themselves clearly said there: "picking Singed Support isn't inherently bannable".
I won't lie to you, you've not thought through what "solo queue" really means, if the guy is actually playing solo, and not intentionally throwing games, he shouldn't be banned for ANY game choice, as that's not trolling. Considering he was a decent rung on the ladder, sounds like snowflakes gonna fall.

Do you even read the comments before replying? I clearly said "You can play whatever you want wherever you want...But not communicating with your team if you have some specific strategy (referencing to that sing smite support incident) is considered as trolling, thus is bannable."
Actually, the singed smite support who was actually banned for starting that craze, the guy with millions of mastery points, communicated to his team EVERY SINGLE GAME in champ select what he was doing. It wasn't trolling, it was playing the game "his way" which I'm sure riot have actually said something around the same meaning multiple times in advertising/dev diaries/etc so to reference that specific incident as an example of trolling/bannable off meta "offense" is actually an error on your part and in no way should the guy have received any sort of punishment for being smite ghost singed support. : Enemy bans Yasuo. 5th non-premade team mate says he will >troll< because of that. 5th non-premade team mate picks bard and smite. Game begins. 5th non-premade team mate follows our jungler and steals all of his camps. We didn't want to play a game like that so we discussed walking mid and let enemy end the game ASAP. >>>>>>>>>We walk down to mid<<<<<<<<<<. Enemy gets kills. Enemy goes 5 man mid ( we asked ) Enemy ends game fast. So lets say you deserved the ban and so your friends, for getting a troll in your team you guys also decided to troll along with him by intentional feeding, I suggest you to never DO this even if you get a troll because you'll be doing the same as the troll by intentiona lfeeding and trolling and so you deserved the ban aswell. The enemy team reported you and your friends for Intentional Feeding, Trolling and other reasons. Justice was right to be brought on you, however if the troll didnt get banned then Sorry and in that case you might have got that TROLL banned if you guys were out without being banned but your act was a high risk of getting banned.
Nope, there's zero chance of getting that bard banned even if they had played normally, reported tickets detailing what he did to troll would likely have had zero effect, have had this happen in my games in jungle previously, or just in general, where someone has said in champ select that they will int or troll, or been followed by someone and constantly had camps stolen, whole team and some of enemy team reported these people but no instant feedback report / thanks was ever given for them. Ban system is busterino

: I've always been a chill person, specially in normal games. I rather lose the game then my dignity, always thinking flaming back will result in a ban, and those people that flame me aren't worth losing my account over. Apparently, this attitude isn't working.
Mostly when I'm flamed I get the old 'kill yourself' or 'mother <insert insult somewhere before or after>' spiel, i'll often mute and then report these people, and never get feedback reports. Unless I'm having a bad week, the extent of my "flaming"(if you can call it that) is along the lines of "cmon <insert champ name>, play a bit safer/we have vision/it was pinged/please stop repeating the same action. And I've received multiple chat bans because I've at some point sworn, usually not at someone, but because I typed a lot and swore at some point during a game, down comes le hammer? I don't think it's a very fair system at all, since, like i said, it's an opt-out system that you actively have to disable if you want to see any 'bad words'. {{champion:20}}

: This is all kind of nice and everything but I would rather have them fix the un-fun, bad-designs like Akali and Irelia first; then, they may add whatever new things they want.
Just fyi they nerfed both of those champs in this patch. they won't rework them again, and i'm sure if people keep saying this they'll just give them the azir+kalista treatment.

Though I'd argue a lot of people are more bothered by someone first timing a champion in ranked than a very experienced OTP playing off meta. Uhm... Playing off meta champs is NOT bannable. You can play whatever you want wherever you want as long as you're playing with team, cooperating and trying to win. But not communicating with your team if you have some specific strategy (referencing to that sing smite support incident) is considered as trolling, thus is bannable.
Wait...wait...wait You really think the singed smite support was bannable? Specific strategy = bannable? Guess we should ban ivern+rengar lane/funneling duos and smite aatrox/talon mid. specific strategy that ruins both enemy midlane and jungles game experiences. While we're at it let's ban anyone with a main account in the top 10% of players playing anywhere in the bottom 60% as that ruins the game experience for usually 3-5 players.

: Totally agree. I mean I lose to a smurf and get banned for it. [Click](https://imgur.com/a/ejUnXLv) for his match history. I want to write another ticket but i just don't know what else i can put in it. Not sure it's even worth my time ...
I checked pal, it's likely not. I'm surprised you could keep your cool in the game considering, I doubt I would've kept my cool with the team while being constantly flamed. System is broken and that needs acknowledging as it's not right to permanently ban accounts people have spent anywhere between £5/€-£1500/€+ on when there is an opt-out chat filter(aka on by default) and where smurfing from the higher ranks is something that youtubers and streamers do to make 'funny' content.
Kyle001 (EUW)
: Goodbye
Honestly, Riot should adopt the CS:GO ban system, and only ban permanently for serious racism/homophobia/anti-religious harassment and cheating. A scaling ban of say 1 day 3 days 7 days 14 days for repetitive toxicity to allow for a break would be far better for the health of the game and community. The addictive nature of the game causes people to continually play when already angry. Tribunal system was better, this punishment system is utterly useless. have a good christmas kyle.
: It's Everyday Bro...
Literally just got a 14 day suspension for swearing 4-5 times and saying oh you're spanish to an adc / top / mid that were trolling so hard they either had 1 death every 90 seconds or 1/3rd the enemies cs at end of game or ran a kll down mid into zed for first blood. just fyi, the chat filter is opt out. this season is disgusting. wish i could appeal but i doubt 3 years of 0 bans til this season will actually say anything to riot. Only reason i'm even playing this season is to spend time with friends i no longer live close to. Edit: It's also interesting that there's zero context in the "chat logs", otherwise it would be seen that i am defending myself from being flamed, or another person who is being flamed on the team who is just chilling and trying their best. I'm not going to lay down and take abuse from random people, but I'm also not going to report them because I'm not a %%%%%. TL;DR: riot your ban system sucks, it doesn't actually punish people who don't contribute to your coffers or give a damn about playing to win. Bring back old ranked system at least so you don't have new playes with no macro knowledge and 10 low tier champions ruining everyone elses games.
