Keep in mind this is still a lot healthier gameplay than most champions today that end fights in 5 seconds or less(in any way).

: +18 -20?
Because Riot actively works against climbing players. It's supposedly some sort of scheme to balance stuff out, but that's not really how the logic behind it works...

: Is Riot trying to make people leave the game for good?
: WTF Has This Game Become?
If they gave a debuff to every unit in-game that reduces their damage by 60% it would help the game quality more than the last 3 seasons of updates has done.

It's not like the devs have ever listened to all of the community, and they ain't gonna start now.
: Yeah.. I gotta wait for the CC to be used, and they gotta wait for me to jump in to use it. Malz ult and other supresses can't be cleansed with that I'm pretty sure. And what if you're playing an AP assassin? Do you get an AD item?
If they don't use the cc on the rest of your team they will get screwed by them instead, so yeah. And sure, getting Mercurial on AP champs is a common situational practice.
: Malzahar and Supresses
As an assassin you're supposed to wait for opportunities(i.e. wait for cc to be used). There's also other extremely easy solutions if you want to mindlessly go straight in(which as an assassin, you definitely shouldn't) {{item:3140}} {{item:3139}} Items almost directly countering an entire champion early on like this is pretty hefty. Lastly, every champion has their gimmick. A lot of other players (Malzahar players included) has a lot of complains about other champions as well.

: > That's what I'm trying to say, the system would be much better off working with the divisions alone rather than use a hidden MMR. > That would not work, if you know when you rank up a division (silver -> gold) you will get big protection to fall to lower division - my friend lost like 8 games and he was still gold. Now think about your gold 5 to gold 4 promos, you would get team consisting of G5s and G4s, but you could get someone who was boosted and doesn't belong to gold whatsoever just because he is same rank as you. Maybe something like in supercell games, what i remember they have divisions set by constant checkpoints, but that would not take premades in accounting so it wouldn't work so good like current system. > Also rank compensations like that does not work very well. > I don't remember where I read it but here's a really good example: > Each team has a total 300 points that displays the distribution of player skill > Those "total points", I think, are average of players MMR, that is similar, in the team. Your example is really exaggerated, if enemy team has 60 pts then at least two of your team will have same points. Also when something like this would happen, those with 25 pts and the one with 200 pts would have similar MMR, either 25 pointers were on winning spree or 200 pointer was losing.
It was supposed to be exaggerated to make a point! With my point being that it should keep players with closer numbers rather than have such wide varieties just because the total end value adds up about the same, because it would help overall game balance. The points are symbolic for the MMR itself which means no, the different values would not have similar MMR. Also if I get someone in there who is boosted that's fine, because they would be dropped out really fast if they don't belong there anyway. (plus MMR would have been boosted in the same procedure anyway so it wouldnt make too much difference on that part)
: It's not about division, it's MMR, but computer can't recognise if somebody just had 10 lucky games or he should be higher. Usually when you get someone 3-5 rank lower than you, you will get compensated by someone with higher rank for instance.
That's what I'm trying to say, the system would be much better off working with the divisions alone rather than use a hidden MMR. Also rank compensations like that does not work very well. I don't remember where I read it but here's a really good example: Each team has a total 300 points that displays the distribution of player skill Player 1 200 Points Player 2 25 points Player 3 25 points Player 4 25 points Player 5 25 points Player 6 60 Points Player 7 60 points Player 8 60 points Player 9 60 points Player 10 60 points The above is not even in any way whatsoever. Now of course not every game is like this, but it is an extremely common occurrence in promotional games. (I wonder why *rolls eyes*)

Yep, it a really sad way to design a system in the end.

: >Objectively, so far(both full remakes and part-remakes) there has been; Malzahar, Evelynn, Urgot, Katarina, Sejuani and Skarner. You don't seem to understand what the word "objectively" means. It means without your own opinion. Objectively speaking, all the reworks you mentioned are huge successes and among the best riot has ever done. None of them are bad and none of them are worse than they were before the reworks. >About the jungle, yes, it sees changes every year but they don't really seem to take any hints from previously failed concepts and manages to make it worse sometimes when it can easily be avoided with some insight from previous failed changes. Next time provide some examples. >About the support items, they were objectively unhealthy for the entire support role. I like some of them, but liking them does not mean they are inherently good(which is why I'm being objective). Again, provide an example. This kind of vague terminology isn't going to get you anywhere. >Adding or removing an item are the absolute biggest changes. They are not. >Let's say you have an item. One patch that item gets changed a bit. Next patch it doesn't exist anymore. Which one of these do you think have the biggest impact on the game? That's right, the removal. You are wrong. It's the nerf that affects the game more than a pure removal. As an example, atma's impaler used to be a meta item. Then it got nerfed and pretty much no one built it again. Then it was removed. The nerf affected the game more than the removal of that item although the effect would have been the same if they would have straight up removed the item instead of nerfing it. So changing and removing are actually just as big. And an addition of an item isn't a big change because one item hardly ever changes the game in any meaningful way. Another example could be the last upgrades of support items that gave actives. The removal of those did absolutely nothing to the game because you weren't supposed to build them anyways. Not to mention that 2 of the actives were put on other items.
I decided to cut off here because I realised someone sad enough to not accept objectivity once would refuse to do so repeatedly so there's not really any point to it.
Hydnoras (EUW)
: >I am for the most part spot on in all above points otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned them in the first place. Hah, that's not how it works. You mentioned them because you THINK you know, but in reality you don't. You have never had enough understanding about the game to make those statements. >It would be a long and tough week if I had to explain this in a way you would actually understand in any way whatsoever. You are silver and i'm diamond. Try me. I bet i can understand what you mean but that doesn't mean i'm gonna agree with you. >If you can't see this I suggest you take a course in logic and common sense. I recently took an official IQ test and I had an IQ of 157, which is extremely high in case you didn't know. And what does an IQ test, test? That's right, your logical thinking. I'm a highly logical person. I don't need your pointless courses.
Sigh, yeah sure your rank definitely proves anything about logic and so forth. About the IQ thing, around 130 would be considered VERY gifted so with you having an IQ of 157 you would have much more sense than to use a false claim of IQ as an excuse to get out of this in the first place(especially intelligence is not the same as logical thinking). Either way, just please don't use the random IQ number as an excuse to get out of a pinch again especially not before using a realistic number.

: > There's also the concept of the LAW, the almighty TOS that you're subjected to. This is not the real world, this is a game. The rules of the game are pretty simple, you make somebody feel bad ? You get punished. You type in the chat, things that are not productive, 50+ lines a game? That's trolling in my book. You can't perfectly play while typing, it's like text and drive. This is where most people miscomprehend contract law. The presence of a TOS/contract isn't necessarily legally binding as quite often clauses are classified as abusive/illicit and contrary to fundamental principles of law. If a clause of a TOS/contract constitutes an antithesis of a fundamental principle of law, the fundamental applies and the clause is nullified. **Furthermore, case Brown vs. Entertainment Merchants Association Supreme Court US. "The Supreme Court has held that games qualify as protected free speech."** **Speech that is neither obscene to youths nor subject to some other legitimate proscription cannot be suppressed solely to protect the young from ideas or images that a legislative body thinks unsuitable for them. Like the protected books, plays, and movies that preceded them, video games communicate ideas—and even social messages—through many familiar literary devices (such as characters, dialogue, plot, and music) and through features distinctive to the medium (such as the player’s interaction with the virtual world). That suffices to confer First Amendment protection. Don't think it's necessary to go more in-depth on this particular subject. And no, I'm not trolling, I'm writing at about 100 WPM. Obviously, we can into analytics/statistics, which are quantified as CS/M; KDA; Gold Diff; %DMG; etc. and would invalidate your claim even further. Essentially, you are just making invalid claims that have no actual grounds. And no, as far as I remember, I wasn't punished and I'm 100% certain that I was not having a chat restriction during my perma ban. I think I had some chat restrictions in the past , 2 or 3 seasons ago, but I think most people had those, they were part of the "reform" wave.
In this scenario the only right they have reserved is to give you the said ban, freedom of speech does not really remove that reserved right from them.
: > riot and riot white knight : you deserved where you are at , our system works > Well, the system works, it's not flawless but it works. Keep in mind computers are automated, not like humans. If you have an idea how to improve the ranking system share it with Riot but remember it needs to be automated - ranking system works with data it doesn't watch the game. I don't get why everybody wants to climb, what does everyone expect in higher elo? From bronze to diamond there is same amount of feeders, in every game there is a person who doesn't win - it's not LCS where it ends with 5/5 team kills.
Well for one the system can stop matching players in promo games intentionally to play with team mates 5 divisions lower than the player and opponents 5 divisions higher than the player. Needing to play with skill enough for the whole team does not prove your skill, your ability to play your own part does.

There aren't any. > huge changes to jungle over the years (both good and bad though) Jungle has seen changes basically every year so you can't say that riot hasn't done anything about them when they see that it's not good. >item remakes and/or complete removals etc(for example the recent support item changes has been the most drastic objectively bad change to items in quite some time). You don't even know what you are talking about. The most recent changes to support items were GOOD. Literally nothing bad about them. And adding an item or removing one is not counted as a big change.
Objectively, so far(both full remakes and part-remakes) there has been; Malzahar, Evelynn, Urgot, Katarina, Sejuani and Skarner. About the jungle, yes, it sees changes every year but they don't really seem to take any hints from previously failed concepts and manages to make it worse sometimes when it can easily be avoided with some insight from previous failed changes. About the support items, they were _**objectively**_ unhealthy for the entire support role. I _like_ some of them, but liking them does not mean they are inherently good(which is why I'm being objective). Adding or removing an item are the absolute biggest changes. Let's say you have an item. One patch that item gets changed a bit. Next patch it doesn't exist anymore. Which one of these do you think have the biggest impact on the game? : I quit reporting people
The problem is playing bad isn't actually a reportable thing unless it's intentional. If someone doesn't listen to pings for example it's oftentime because they have poor attention, and there's not really any evil intent behind that. But yes, in short, _**being bad is usually not intentional**_.
Hydnoras (EUW)
: Well there still aren't any big bad in-game changes that haven't been reverted.
There's actually a lot! Many poor decisions in champion remakes, huge changes to jungle over the years (both good and bad though), item remakes and/or complete removals etc(for example the recent support item changes has been the most drastic objectively bad change to items in quite some time).
: They need more time than necessary to realize some things, I agree. But as far as I know, from previous seasons most of the problems have been fixed now. Other problems have been arisen, but they are slowly fixing them aswell. Most of the time, it's not so good to change every "problem" you see in an instant, it might be good.
Biggest issue is that the power balance between champions has not been as healthy as season 4 since well... season 4. Most likely the reason for this is they tried harder and harder to to distinguish one role from another rather than to balance all champions a whole. It most likely got easier to do it this way because the roster got bigger and bigger, but sadly it hurts the game at the same time.
Hydnoras (EUW)
: They did reverse the dynamic queue and it was actually the only big bad change they have done.
I was mostly thinking about in-game changes, but I do suppose matching changes would be included as well.

: Why in my qualify games I get paired with unranked players?
Because Riot's ranked system actively works against the players climbing. It's basically a flaw coming from a good intent.
: What do you guys think needs improvement in League?
They could take a few notes from _**some**_ of the previous seasons, for one. It's good for them to experiment, but any time they go for any drastic changes in a season and it wasn't very good they never reverse those changes, which is completely wrong from anyone's point of view.

Well I can't really help you more than that. The most you could do is open an official support ticket and ask Riot themselves, they might be able to tell you with more certainty. Their official page seems to be located here: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
: "And what do you actually expect would happen if this toxic community would get away with their bullshit unpunished?" well.. no.. i gave you an alternative punishment system, i never said that toxicity should go unpunished. a vast majority of leagues community agrees that toxic behavior should be punished. what we cant seem to agree upon is how harsh the punishment should be, and where the line should as far as how negative you have to be to be toxic. "Temporary punishments will ALWAYS let toxic players go back to their previous ways, and the truth is the vast majority of them will actually do this in the end." its like saying: permanent punishments will always make toxic players create new accounts and become 10 times more toxic as a result.
The problem is your punishments would be pretty much equal to no punishments since they are really not that severe. And no, if they are forced to create new accounts every now and then which have an extremely annoying leveling time they will have more incentive to actually not screw up more accounts.

: Help me
You can't really do anything about it other than try your best. If you lose because of another player, then that other player loses. Keep in mind that all players get matched up poorly equally much and the rest of the community has these same problems. These players might be playing well in other games and just got off the wrong foot early in these games and after that it just escalates. The higher the rank(and skill) of the player, the easier they know how to cope with having a bad early game also. But yes, the absolute worst thing you can do in this game that isn't inherently toxic is giving up.

And what do you actually expect would happen if this toxic community would get away with their bullshit unpunished? _**Temporary**_ punishments will ALWAYS let toxic players go back to their previous ways, and the truth is the vast majority of them will actually do this in the end. The one and only true solution to toxic social behavior in League is to not have an in-game chat at all(voice included), and let players communicate only either through pings and/or third party voice software. The harsh truth is when you play with random players you won't get much out of having a discussion with your team anyway, I would even argue having pings only and focusing more on the game itself rather than a chat would _**improve**_ everyone's teamplay potential drastically over a short period of time.

Hmm, I don't remember ever using any codes for these. Then again, that was ages ago.
: To be honest though they have both lost people they care for miss fortune lost her family Yasuo lost his brother and his “family” when he was accused of the death of his master, Miss fortune in renowned for capturing the hearts of all men I feel as though somelike like Yasuo could handle her personality and possibly they could rip each other find peace from what they have lost I meen my boyfriend came from a place polar opposite to where I am if you looked at me and him when we were younger you would never think that in years to come we would be a couple love works in mysterious ways. I meen xayah and rakan for instant at first she saw him as just a fool putting on a show he’s loud and playful while she is more serious and quiet, I spent ages trying to decide who I would want one of my most loved champions to be with the options were first graves and tf but graves holds a grudge big time I couldn’t see him forgiving mf for nearly getting him and tf killed, tf is loyal to graves despite their issues so I can’t see him with her, some people ship her with gp which considering he killed her parents and is her sworn enemy yeahhhh not gonna happen other options people ship her with is Nami and illoui, illoui sides with gp and Nami I can’t really see it, I’ve seen people ship her with Pyke aswell maybe it could work but I don’t know he hates captains. Then there is rafen from her lore he would be a good match but he’s not a champion (yet I can dream) so I went looking for more ship ideas saw a fan art of Captain mf with blood moon Yasuo and they looked amazing together so I started thinking about it and discussing it with my friend who loves Yasuo for his lore and they ended up approving. People ship eve and tf because they have matching skins, Yasuo and mf have matching high noon skins (cowgirl mf is how I became a adc main)
Problem is Yasuo would honestly not give someone with Sarah Fortune's personality any attention at all unless he was forced to, and if that happened he would at most try his best to until he didn't have to anymore. Rakan and Xayah's personalities, although different at first glance, are at the very least complimentary in the end(as I am sure yours and your boyfriends are as well). GP/Illaoi/Nami and Sarah won't ever happen either, no. Skins sadly does not provide shipping legitimacy either, so that's not a thing.

: A few years ago I had huge problems with the league servers, but every other game and even speedtests websites proved me that everything is perfectly fine. It was just my connection to riots game server for some reason. The problem solved itself somehow but I still got a leaverbuster punishment back then for not knowing when my connection is good or bad - since there was no way to find out about it. I'm not affected by this anymore for 4 years now but I know how bad it is if you are, so yeah, Riot should definitly give players this option.
Yep, and Riot can't always do anything about problems between your ISP and their servers. This small and easy fix would solve a lot of issues. EDIT: But yes, one can always ping their IP manually in worst case.
: {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}} I'm actually smurfing from Plat 2 also, it's just legitimately impossible to climb when you're 4 v 5 and when it's 4 v 5 in your favour they're always stomps Ranked is just a coinflip to see who can tilt the other team first lol
Yep, it's a problem that needs to be dealt with before the ranked in this game can be considered truly legitimate again.
: Tbh I've always thought that no matter what you say or do, if someone gets offended it's their problem. I mean, I have been insulted in real life for whatever reason and I've just not given a %%%% because, well, the person insulting me didn't mean shit to me and I could understand why they'd be mad, so meh. On the other hand, I have offended people for saying stuff that wasn't even directed at them or anyone in particular simply because (I suppose) it contradicted their belief system (not talking about religion). Also, I assume the report/ban system works mainly on triggerwords that would be extremely toxic in most situations (stuff like %%%%, %%%, sth-related-to-your-mom, cancer, aids, etc). I highly doubt 'yikes' would be one of them, and that guy you offended was already tilted to begin with. Probably because he felt his worth as an individual threatened by the fact he did something stupid and got owned as a result, and if I am right then he is one sad %%%%er. Who the %%%% gets mad at other people over one's own %%%% ups, and even more so on a casual mode of an online game?
I think you would feel different if you felt someone told you the usual "get ca\*cer and d\*e" while having ca\*cer or knowing someone who does. Words can be hurtful at times, if someone seems hurt however the person who hurt them should always apologise. Most competitive players(which is the kind of player this kind of game draws into it) don't really do apologies, and that is the main problem in these situations. On topic, the word in this situation isn't really something that can be hurtful(objectively), so it does not really apply in this situation. It's the same situation with the "?"-thing.
: Friendly cross-team competitive banter should never be frowned upon. That's my standing on this.
Well, it's not exactly a very hostile conversation, so no not really.
: Something has to be done about these queues because...jesus christ.
Long story short, something needs to be done against AFK players. This meaning not only players who truly go AFK, but also players who sit at base doing nothing, who runs around farming whatever while intentionally not aiding the rest of the team in any way whatsoever, etc. etc. We as a community (especially of gold players and below) definitely know this, it's just that Riot does not think it's very important unless they get reported every single game.
: An honest question.
Short answer: No, definitely not. Less short answer but not really long: It depends who is judging it. If the person judging condones ass-hattery, then maybe.

: Suggestion: Internet Strenght Test
You can already check your actual internet strength(or speed, rather) on Speedtest's website. To check up against Riot's servers you have to ping their several IP addresses which can be found here and there across the internet. But yes, in the end it would really help the entire community a lot if there was a way to check pings **_before_** a game starts rather than proceeding to enter a match only to find out that temporarily either Riot's servers are having problems with your internet or your internet having problems with their server and causing trouble for all players in that game, not only you. Considering the nature of this solution it wouldn't take them longer than a week or two to implement as well. (most likely even less because the only "bug-testing" they would have to do would be their interface for it)
Henemy (EUW)
: So what should I do? Also, I doubt it's a resolution problem since I haven't changed it and until last week it was alright...
Well at least look at the resolution you never know =) The reason I'm thinking it's the resolution is because you say you can still zoom in/out but not far enough. On lower resolution settings you get a lower field of view which can make it seem as though it is not fully zoomed out! Other than this, I can't really say. If you weren't able to zoom out at all, I would suggest the setting that disables the in-game zooming(this setting you can find in-game).
