: Did you even read what I posted? I'm looking for someone with the same problem... Or someone who knows to fix it since I can't get in contact with Riot.
Did this a week ago, no response yet, I'm assuming they are looking into the issue and I'm hoping they help me :)

: Yet you have no way to prove this to us, you need to prove it to riot, what was the point of creating this thread at all? Nobody here can help you and riot isn't going to suddenly overturn its decision because you made a post about it :P
Did you even read what I posted? I'm looking for someone with the same problem... Or someone who knows to fix it since I can't get in contact with Riot.

: And OP states he was banned for account sharing, which is against the EULA/TOS, hence riot have the freedom to ban him without any legal repercussions, that being said they can also ban you for any reason they choose as per the same agreements which means you pretty much never have any legal way to fight it :P
Well I didn't break the rules, unless getting scammed isn't allowed.
: You actually sharing the account or someone else loggin in to your account with your credentials is technically the same thing. Your log in credentials should be so strong that only you are able to log in with them. That is pretty much why every service requires you to have atleast normal and capital letters and numbers. To make it extremely hard to guess the PW or to break it with brute forcing. In this case, it seems that either your PW was too weak or you got scammed in a way that the scammer got your PW/Log in name and was able to use the without any brute forcing. That makes it look as if the log in credentials were given to the other player using your account. I am sure that if the scammer would've tried to brute force your credentials then Riot would have some solid evidence of it and their approach to the matter would be totaly different. This however was not the case. If the simple explanation of "someone scammed my credentials" would be enough to overturn the bans and give you the account back, everyone of us would be able to sell our account atleast once and claim scammed credentials to have it right back. If I remember this correctly you were invited to TS and mostlikely downloaded a "driver" or smth like that. That is a scam, yes, most likely a keylogger which sends the logs to the scammer - so he had your exact log in name and exact password. Most likely logged in with the first attempt. How does this make the action seem to Riot? It will make it seem exactly as account sharing or selling of an account. IP tracing does not really help in either of the cases. You could have given the credentials to a booster or you could've sold the account. That is why the location of log in changes radically. Your credentials might be even be exposed in some other game which has the same credentials. My friends credit card information along with his email/general Password was taken from his Guild Wars 2 account which was inactive. It is not yet known how but he lost quite a lot of money and his original facebook profile due to it, and was banned from GW2 due to botting. All of which were caused by the scammer. There is so much options why this could've happened and Riot Gaming will have to respond to only solid evidence they can get. Which is a valid log in from a way different location in a short span of time. That is a rather cruel fact but something I don't see being wrong. They just can't believe every explanation they hear regarding the matter. TL;DR A brute force attack would be notified by Riot. A valid log in with correct credential is not. If your credentials get scammed in a 3rf party software etc. It is no longer Riots problem and they cannot be certain that account was not shared/sold or e.g. give to a booster. I am sorry for you to losing the account but you pretty much need to take this as an expensive lesson of online safety.
Yeah this makes sense, but reading through these comments and looking on other forums, there are a lot of people who have been scammed the same way I have been, but they got their account back immediately afterwards. The problem probably lies within the fact that this scammer was sending tickets to Riot at the same time from the account he stole from me claiming that it was his account and not mine. After creating a recovery ticket he said in one of the tickets (for some reason I got all of them in my email) that he got banned and was raging and flaming quite a bit. Then he said to me (in a private email) that he would not let me have access to the account if he couldn't have access either, so he said (knowing that this would cause a permanent ban) that the account was bought by him and that now I was trying to recover it. I know how it must look for you, just another person on the internet claiming to recover his/her account after trying to sell it, but just assume that I'm telling the truth. You don't have to believe me, but it would be nice if you have any idea on how to solve this :/. Whilst I'm writing this, it might be smart to send the email he sent me (about making sure my account gets banned) to Riot, but I guess such an email can be easily faked so it isn't enough evidence.
Cypherous (EUW)
: No its true for paid services, i already said it covers accounts with a paid subscription, under those circumstances they aren't even required to refund you the remaining game time, there is NO law that states a company HAS to grant you access to their services when you break the rules, paying doesn't negate the rules nor grant you any special rights :P
That's true, of course it is. When you break the rules, no matter how much you paid, you shouldn't be allowed back on the servers.
: Enough is enough already, Where should i begin? Well... "It is 5 years old, has every champion + 3 skins per champion + 3 Seasons Diamond in a row." So, simple math tells us that --> aprox 100 champions in the game .... times 3 skins per champion == 300 skins, you must have payed a fair amount of cash there, so what is the problem in paying €5,10,20 to get 2 3 or what ever skins you loved so much for your mains right ? I understand your pain, specially when your account now has only 2 skins, one of them being Riot Girl Tristana (FREE) and the other one Dark Crystal Ryze, probably got from hextech craft .... BUT ANYWAY I assume YOUR REAL PAIN, is that since you got PLACED AS A DIAMOND 3 YEARS IN A ROW... ("3 Seasons Diamond in a row." <-- your words there...) as a skilled player that you are, it must FEEL REALLY BAD MAN, knowing you're a SILVER 4 now. It's so hard to understand how someone can look their experience and demote not to gold,, TO BOTTOM SILVER. I mean... from diamond to silver can't be any difference right ? It's a sad story, specially seeing how affected you are for this loss, and the pain you're going threw with this situation, and yes you are right ONLY LITTLE BOYS LIE ON THE INTERNET. This might be the reason why RIOT stopped responding to your spam. then again, FeelsBadMan {{sticker:zombie-nunu-bummed}} P.S. Stop lying on the internet little boy. you won't fool anyone, you just make a fool out of yourself. I'm done, good luck to you out there, you need it ;)
My real pain is actually that it´s unfair and that it is only right if I were to get my account back since I never did anything wrong. Of course it´s annoying to be back in Silver IV, but who cares, in <50 games I'll be back in Diamond, so that's something you were wrong about. Secondly, wouldn't you be pissed off if your account would get banned with an invalid reason after you've spend years and hundreds of euros on it? You believe me, or you do not, I'm not here to convince you, I actually don't care about your thoughts. I'm just here to ask people for advice and to get to know someone who has been put in the same situation as I have.
: they don't need to check your client logs, they have already the server side logs, but if the account was so important to you, why would you share it ? You probably thought you can get away with it... you're not the first or last one that will lose their main cause of some silly thing like this. Turn the page, your account is history now. FeelsBadMan.
Why am I even bothered to explain anything to you? I never shared anything, is it so hard to believe someone on the internet?
: you shared your account, cut the crap. you can't lie anyone, if riot said you SHARED YOUR ACCOUNT therefore you got banned then thats the case. if you have smufs then why do you cry so much about your main, you should have thought twice before sharing your account. people try to scam with this methods selling their accounts then crying to riot "oh... i got hacked".... no it's not the case. they will know exactly what computer did you logged on to, ip. etc.... check the logs see whats in them. you are entirely responsible for your actions. if they don't respond to you anymore, that basically means they're tired of your BS. you're not the first or last that got a old main account banned. deal with it, if not you can always pray and hope, but we both know how that works. good luck with your "smurfs" make sure you don't share that too :P
What the hell are you on about? I asked them to check the logs, ip's and then the will see that I had nothing to do with it, but they won't do this. You wanna know why I cry about my main? It is 5 years old, has every champion + 3 skins per champion + 3 Seasons Diamond in a row.
: Why when someone faces a service termination upon violation of ToS ALWAYS, comes back with things like 'oh but i spend X amount of money" ... good for you, the transactions were NOT made for some "free pass" of ToS, I'm pretty sure you got what you paid for. Account sharing is allowed. I'm SURE that Riot can EASILY see the difference between a account hack, and a account sharing situation. i don't understand why people would share accounts when you can simply ask friends to duo q with you, if elo hell is the problem, or maybe you wanted to share your account so your friend can play your unlocked champions/skins. nahh.... against ToS. As for the permanent ban, not even God himself could give you back your account. Turn the page, start a new one, and learn from your mistakes. All the best {{sticker:slayer-jinx-wink}}
Thanks for your comment, it had 0 use for me :) 1) I didn't have anything elo boost me, my main is Diamond 2 2) I have multiple smurf accounts 3) Riot refuses to respond to my tickets in a normal way because they just do not bother to read anything Maybe next time read the rest of the chat instead of just saying shit like you know what you're talking about. All the best {{sticker:slayer-jinx-wink}}
Saryn (EUW)
: Just... No..... Dont throw stuff randomly without knowing..
Do you mean that it is supposed to mean just sharing and nothing besides that. It would be only logical to assume that. In a ToU/S there shouldn't be anything that could be interpreted in different ways, it should be clear and understandable, not something that is said inbetween the lines. If with sharing they mean sharing, publishing information, getting hacked, getting scammed, getting phished, etc. they should type that out instead of saying just sharing.
: In the matter of account security Riot has been really helpful to me , once i got hacked , i sent them a ticket with many details of my account and they verified it's me and let me reset my password and that took 1-2 days ( understandable ) but it seemed like i was getting phished because i got hacked again in the same week , i sent Riot a ticket and 5 hrs later they banned my account and sent me an email asking me to clean-up my pc from possible viruses and when i did i just sent them a ticket and viola , basically , Riot isn't conspiring against anyone and maybe there is something your hiding , and + if you got hacked and left it that way it's YOUR fault
Hmm, maybe this could help me. I know they won't conspire against anyone, there is just a big misunderstanding since the account got banned due to security reasons (I asked for it because there was a scammer playing on my account from Germany and I didn't want him to screw up my stats). Then after that I proved I was the original owner and the same Riot employee keeps responding to me with bot responses without helping me in any way. :/
: this sounds fake as china but im hope your telling the truth. If it is you just need to wait
I am telling the truth, I know it's hard to believe that someone on the internet is actually not lying. I've created a new ticket in a different section of riot support and asked if I could talk to someone else and not the standard guy my case gets assigned to. He closed my previous ticket and said he wouldn't respond (again like before) to any of my tickets.
: Make a ticket and every time they give you a robotic answer tell them "This is a serious matter and i would like you to redirect my ticket to a official Behavior team ( or support team) and make them look into it so i can get a real answer i won't be satisfied before that have a good day " keep doing that until you get a legit respond it might take up to 2days before they answer but i can ensure you will get in contact with a real person worked for me
The problem is that my case gets assigned to the same person over and over. He doesn't respond to my case with a normal response, only bot responses. Whenever I point out that I want a normal response, he says Hello again, My colleagues and I already explained why we cannot give this account back. I apologize that this decision disappoints you, but this matter is now closed. Thank you for your cooperation.
Not xPeke (EUW)
: You are interpreting the terms and conditions wrong imo. If you get hacked you are not responsible for being hacked yourself. Being hacked =/= goodbye account. If you share your password, or you are hacked, and the person flames/trolls on your account, you are responsible for things that happen on it, sure. Unless you can prove it was 100% not you on that account (regarding being hacked; sharing is against the rules anyway). However, this isn't the case here. He is banned for ACCOUNT SHARING, to which he claims he has never taken part. So if we assume it's the truth, the matter at hand is he got hacked/scammed and lost control of his account. He should not have been given a PERMANENT suspension, but only a temporary one, until he was safe to resume ownership of his account without any risk. So to be honest, you keep saying he broke the terms of use, but he really didn't.
This is exactly what I'm trying to say! But whenver I point this out to Riot since nothing like this is stated in their ToU/S, they just say: this matter is closed, we will close the case now and no longer respond to your tickets. I just have no idea how to deal with this. I opened a new ticket in general discussion to Riot and asked if I could speak to someone who is not a bot and explained the matter. Let's hope I get a normal person now and not the same person again :D
Cypherous (EUW)
: And which law dictates that a company HAS to let you access their game servers while breaking the rules? protip, none of them, everyone always plays the "EULA != Law" card yet never actually provides a law that says otherwise, not to mention > XII. INDEMNIFICATION > YOU HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, DEFEND AND HOLD HARMLESS RIOT GAMES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, LAWSUITS, DAMAGES, LOSSES, LIABILITIES AND COSTS (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) THAT DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY ARE ATTRIBUTABLE TO YOUR FAULT AND ARISE OR RESULT FROM YOUR USE OR MISUSE OF THE GAME AND/OR THE SOFTWARE, OR ANY VIOLATION BY YOU OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT. basically, riot owns the account, riot owns the servers and riot owns the items within the account, unless you can actually provide a law that states that a 3rd party company HAS to let you access their services you're boned
But if it means that Riot owns the account and everything connected to it (as theToU/S says) then how am I in any way responsible for the actions made on THEIR account. They say it's my account and only my account and no-one besides me can access it because it's MY personal account. But whenever cases get too difficult they just pull out their book with rules and say: nope, look, it's our account, our everything, you ain't got shit boy
vìrtuoso (EUW)
: if you can prove to riot that you are one and only real owner of an account, they will give it back no metter what, my account recovery took 20 days so chill up and don't bump ticket that will only inscrese duration of process. Good luck
The problem is that the guy helping me every single time is the same guy. He keeps getting my tickets no matter what. All he gives as a response is a bot response and then when I respond, he gives this response: Hello again, My colleagues and I already explained why we cannot give this account back. I apologize that this decision disappoints you, but this matter is now closed. Thank you for your cooperation. For the record: There were no other colleagues that explained anything, just this guy and he refuses to help me. He keeps closing my tickets. I've created a different ticket in a different topic, not account recovery but something else. I hope I get someone else assigned to my issue now and it'll be solved soon :/
: Idk if you try tried this but Riot employees always give the robot responses on first reply. Pester them and ask to talk to a higherup.
I did and then the same guy appears over and over, this time he responded with this (I won't mention his name): Hello again, My colleagues and I already explained why we cannot give this account back. I apologize that this decision disappoints you, but this matter is now closed. Thank you for your cooperation. And in the other email he said this (the bot response): Hello Star, This account has been extensively compromised due to account sharing and has been permanently suspended for violation of the Terms of Use. We take account security very seriously, and will not be reversing our decision in this matter. Please know that account sharing of any kind is against our Terms of Use: "C. Login Credentials. In creating an Account, you will be required to select a unique username and password (collectively, “Login Credentials”), which you will use each time you access the Game. You may not share your Account with anyone other than as expressly set forth herein, and you are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Login Credentials and for any and all activities (including purchases and charges, as applicable) that are conducted through your Account. Please notify Riot Games immediately if you become aware of any breach of security, including any loss, theft or unauthorized disclosure of your Login Credentials." League of Legends Terms of Use: http://www.leagueoflegends.com/legal/termsofuse The problem is that it's the same person responding, there were no other colleagues that helped me, just this guy that kept saying that he wouldn't help me. So I didn't receive any help.
: well you must have done something stupid to lose your email account
I did indeed, and I said so to Riot. I was smurfing on this account and someone in my team wanted some tips (since my main is Diamond and my smurf was Silver at the time). I joined his TS3 server and bam, there goes my email. I only noticed after the game and that's how I lost my main account. Fortunately, this account isn't linked to the same email account and I detected his software before he could get his hands on this account.
MonsefMA (EUW)
: account sharing is against the terms of use/service , thats it
I never shared anything, my account got scammed and Riot should help me with the recovery of my account instead of permabanning it and leaving it at that.
vìrtuoso (EUW)
: you must recieve an email about suspension info. I was banned until feb 23 2100. Riot ban code 2100 ( ban year ) is for account security compromited. you have to check your ban code and google how to solve it. If you really didn't do nothing against ToU they will or should remove your ban
Never received anything, it could be that the person who changed the email received it though, but I do not have access to his/her email.
eSuba Kenda (EUNE)
: Why do they ban people immediately? They should warn people first before they ban them at least. For example: We noticed some suspicious login activity on your account. Change your password and contact our support otherwise we will have to ban you. Btw which support did you contact? The international european (english speaking)or your native language speaking? I was also accused from acc. sharing, solved with czech support and I got my acc. back.
I contacted the internation support, the Netherlands doesn't have his own League support team unfortunately :/.
vìrtuoso (EUW)
: until when you are banned? I had similar issue and they unban my account.
But how did you solve it? Maybe it could help me!
: You are not telling the truth here to us. Also your message doesnt make cents either
What part doesn't make sense and I'll make it clear for you. 1) Someone got access to my email + League account through some sort of program installed on a TS3 server 2) I contacted Riot support 3) After talking to them about it (to make sure I am the original owner) I ask them to ban my account to make sure this scammer doesn't ruin my ranked stats anymore than he already did 4) I get a messages saying my account is permanently suspended 5) I assume this is because I asked for it 6) After getting full control over everything again I ask Riot to give me my account back (Recovery process) 7) none of the responses I receive are helping me, the person helping me just doesn't bother helping me nor reading my ticket in which I clearly say that I asked for a temporarily suspension to solve this matter.
vìrtuoso (EUW)
: until when you are banned? I had similar issue and they unban my account.
I have no idea, they just say that I'm banned for account sharing. They won't change the email to my email or anything :(
Someone16 (EUW)
: OP confirmed for being 15.5 years old
Abishua (EUNE)
: that sounds bad man.. 500 euro is lots of money.. they should at least investigate this matter and give us a response here..
Not likely, Riot doesn't really read most posts :(.
MyWabbit (EUW)
: this was exactly the same as i was thinking, and you were right, i feel like he actually just told us that he tried to sell his account ...
How in the world would you even know if I'd be lying. And what would be the point of lying to any of you? You obviously didn't read any of the post on this thread and just think I'm some random 15 year old kid trying to scam another 15 year old kid. Guess what, I'm not. I don't care if you believe me, all I asked for is whether someone else also had this problem and whether they solved it. I'm not here to get judged by some random person from who cares where. Don't make these kind of assumptions based on your little knowledge about this issue. If you do trust me, fine by me, get on with your life. I'm just trying to get my scammed main account back. As I said, I've been playing this game since Season 1 and have enjoyed every bit of it. Why would I even try to sell my account then?
Alex3995 (EUW)
: two questions: did you make a ticket to recover your account the moment you realized you got hacked? and whats the ban code (the year till you are banned)? if its 2212 that means "Temporarily locked - Account under investigation" otherwise its permanent
1) Yes, I immediately made a ticket 2) I can't see the ban code since Riot refuses to change the email account to my email account. They simply say: this account is suspended due to account sharing. That's it.
Hansiman (EUNE)
: > I asked if they could suspend my account till the matter was solved. A day later I got a message saying that my account was permanently suspended Isn't that what you then asked for? For Riot to permanently ban your account? Have you started an account recovery ticket? That's the type of ticket that will result in you regaining access to your account. Normally, once you confirm that you've regained access to the account and that you've removed the keylogger installed on your computer, they'll unban the account again. I've only heard of permabans staying in cases like this if there's more to the story than you're telling us. Riot helps players retrieve their accounts if they're stolen.
This is exactly what I did. But the employee helping me whenever I open a recovery ticket doesn't read my full ticket, he only responds to me with that "your account is permanently suspended" response. That's the problem. Every single ticket I open, it keeps getting the same response, from the same guy. I'm sure that if someone else, someone new, would look into my case, they would help me. But the fact that the same guy keeps getting put up with my case, makes the matter unsolved. He just does not read my ticket. I explicity told him in multiple tickets that it was I who asked for my account to be suspended, but he just does not read those messages.
Someone16 (EUW)
: Has to be something else that youre not telling us. Riot is not going to perma ban you for getting hacked.
I have explained everything to them in a recovery ticket, but all I get as a response is that they will not help me with this matter since I had many warnings prior to this ban. 1) I never received any warnings, when I contacted support about this they said that I should check my email since they will not help me with this. I did, nothing there, only old tickets to and from Riot about unrelated stuff. 2) Whenever I ask if they have read my ticket they close my ticket and say that their decision is final. 3) I got scammed, it would be only logical if Riot would help me recover my account, but they refuse to help me because they do not read my tickets.
Not xPeke (EUW)
: dude, seriously what are you on about? That's not how games, accounts and being hacked works like. If you get hacked/scammed, Riot, Blizzard, and many other similar companies etc, will suspend your account until you can safely be in charge of it again. You don't get permanently suspended because SOMEONE ELSE hacked you, even if you were naive and clicked on a link, that doesn't earn you a ban lmao. If anything Riot should be helping you recover it, like in other games I've seen it happen..
> [{quoted}](name=Not Xpeke,realm=EUW,application-id=NzaqEm3e,discussion-id=qj79XE4K,comment-id=00000000000000000000000000000002,timestamp=2016-05-14T11:00:59.805+0000) > If you get hacked/scammed, Riot, Blizzard, and many other similar companies etc, will suspend your account until you can safely be in charge of it again. this is exactly what I asked for in a ticket to Riot. I asked if they could suspend my account till the matter was solved. A day later I got a message saying that my account was permanently suspended and they will not change this.
MyWabbit (EUW)
: To me it looks your not telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth, to me it seems you were accountsharing and just making an excuse of being hacked, but thats just my impression by the information thats given. also the reaction by riot does not seem fully automated by me "extensively compromised"
Riot can see what happened, they just do not want to. My email got changed from a different IP, my password got changed from a different IP, someone else logged in on my account from a different IP. If I would be sharing my account, this would mean I had to willingly give away my email password to this guy so he could change the email related to my account personally. If I'd be sharing my account, lets say selling, this would mean I don't give a shit about my account anymore and want to make some quick money by selling it. I'd change the email from my email to his on MY IP.
Aezander (EUW)
: I actually went and google this TS thing before your post. The only thing I can say in defence of the OP is that it requires some degree of experience to not getting scammed by these kinda of methods, as most players know only about donwload-install-sign up-play. They don't invest much time to understanding how stuff work. Unfortunately :( Furthermore, even I was unaware of this kind of method, though I might not have gone down without a fight as I am always weary of strange requests of installing when they stem from strange events.
Okay, let's say that a newbie to computers starts playing League. He enjoys the game and out of a sudden the same thing happens to him as has happened to me. He then gets no help from Riot because he didn't know stuff about computers. Apperently their TOS states that every person who plays League should be somewhat good with computers/software otherwise Riot won't help them.
Not xPeke (EUW)
: what are you on about? If you don't account share willingly, aka you were scammed/hacked etc, all you should be required to do is to tell Riot and secure your laptop from keyloggers or viruses, or however else they got access to your account so that it doesn't happen again. Then you get your account back, simple. A perma suspension because you were hacked? lol what? Since the OP is getting automated messages in reply, I'm pretty sure Riot in this case hasn't been able to actually read what the OP is saying, like for example that it was someone who STOLE his account, and that he was never account sharing. And by the way "Thats tough and frustrating, i totally get that...but thats just how account security is handled, not just in LoL but also with most other accounts.". So not true. I've had this same situation more than once actually, for example playing World of Warcraft in the past. I somehow had my laptop keylogged and got hacked several times. Blizzard also banned me for account sharing and "trying to sell Gold". All I had to do was prove I was the real owner, secure my laptop from viruses, etc, and prove it wasn't me on the account. Which wasn't really hard to do as they could see the password and sometimes e-mail was changed and probably what country the account was accessed after the change in password..
Exactly, and this is what I also said to Riot Support. They could check the IP address, they never did since they don't read my ticket. I explained the situation, they just said that I had multiple warnings in the past and that's my responsibility. Anything I say, gets a negative response from Riot and it keeps referring to me intentionally sharing my account. This is also what is stated in the TOS. It says that willingly giving your information away to someone or posting them anywhere will result in a ban, there is nothing said about someone hacking your account.
Viavarian (EUW)
: True, that would include cases such as when the scammer flamed on your account and got it banned that way. But if I understand correctly, this isn't the case here.
Indeed that's not the case. He played games from a different IP minutes after I logged in on my account from the same IP I created my account on. I would assume this is a red flag for Riot. After creating a ticket Riot just banned my account to be done with it instead of helping to resolve the matter.
abbbez (EUW)
: You got scammed. That's YOUR responsibility, and therefore your account is permanently banned. I don't see any wrong with it since it follows their terms and conditions (except that the terms and conditions may be a bit harsh.)
The fact that they do not even bother to help me, that's what's unfair. They have an recovery option, but when I tried to recover my account they just reponded with a bot response without reading my specific case. They refuse to help me when I respond to their respond, that's what frustrates me.
Viavarian (EUW)
: > not just in LoL but also with most other accounts. Erm, what? Never in the history of ever have I heard of a platform that immediately bans an account without chance of recovery when an intrusion is detected. Could you name a few? It makes sense to permanently ban an account if it has been breached multiple times in the past, because that shows the owner is either incapable of keeping his account secure or is giving out the password willingly, and also in cases where the support staff is no longer able to figure out who the real owner is. But "just like that"?
I think he meant that most games make it your responsibility when your account gets hacked/phised/stolen.
: > I joined ...and you installed some kind of "plugin" or "sound driver" or whatever the server told you it would install. Teamspeak doesn't just install stuff automatically, you have to agree to it. This is a pretty old scam method, but it's still used because people still fall for it (just google "TS server scam" and it will be the first thing you find). Be that as it may...this doesn't change anything about your situation. No matter how exactly you got scammed, it's still your responsibility to prevent that from happening.
Yes of course, but why doesn't Riot just help me with the recovery of my account. I've given them all dates of my RP purchases, the amounts, the location, the history of my account. Every single thing I could imagine, and then after that they refuse to help me. That's why I'm so frustrated.
: I'm gonna start hacking feeders. Could you tell me a program to do it? or should I open up a post?
There's not really a program that can just "hack" someones password. There are however programs that try every single combination of letter, figure and number. But this would take extremely long, if you would have your PC on 24/7 it would probably take the program weeks, months maybe even years to find out what someones password is. And you still do not know what this persons log in name is, so it's pretty much impossible.
: Then are you saying that I can get anyone banned by simply using any program that can break passwords?
And if you change the email, yes indeed you can. Their account would be in violation with the TOS and therefore bannable.
: > It basically says that whenever someone else besides me would access my account without my knowledge, my account would be permanently banned, since it is my responsibility. I couldn't explain it better. Thats why it's so important to pick a safe password and not to share it anywhere.
This is how it happened: I was smurfing on this account, someone in my team said he wanted some tips and asked if we could talk in any way. I asked if he had Skype, Teamspeak or Discord. He said he had a TS3 server and posted the IP. I joined and after the game, when I tried to log in to my main account, it said wrong password. I tried to change it, but he email was also changed. Then I knew that this guy had some kind of program connected to his server which immediately downloaded itself on my PC and then it was just a matter of time before he could access my passwords, log in name and anything else really.
: You are misunderstanding the meaning of account sharing in this context. Account sharing doesn't necessarily mean that you share your account willingly, it just means that someone else has access to your account. So no, the answer is not unrelated at all, it's exactly the information that you need because this part of the terms of use is the one that you broke. If you read the text carefully you will notice that it's not limited to voluntariy account sharing.
But I still do not understand how I broke the terms of service. It basically says that whenever someone else besides me would access my account without my knowledge, my account would be permanently banned, since it is my responsibility. And whenever I bring up the fact that some employee said to me that I had multiple warnings regarding account sharing (which I never ever have had) they give me the same automatic response as before...
: > Nobody even takes the time to help me with this issue... Maybe you get that impression because you sum up the actual important part of the Rioters response with "bla bla bla". I guess they told you something about the terms of use and that it's your responsibility to keep your account safe. And thats actually the important info here. If you get hacked (since no one bothers to hack anyone in LoL, "scammed" or "phished" might be a better word), I'm afraid that's still your responsibility. Thats tough and frustrating, i totally get that...but thats just how account security is handled, not just in LoL but also with most other accounts.
I'll give you the full response, trust me, I've read it multiple times, I get what it says but it's frustrating that Riot does not respond to my matter seriously, after spending so much money on their game. Hello Star, This account has been extensively compromised due to account sharing and has been permanently suspended for violation of the Terms of Use. Please notify Riot Games immediately if you become aware of any breach of security, including any loss, theft or unauthorized disclosure of your Login Credentials." It says ACCOUNT SHARING, never in my whole League career I shared my account, and that is what Riot misunderstands about this ticket. Ofcourse it's my responsibility and that's what I said to Riot too in my ticket, they just do not bother to read my ticket and give me some unrelated response.
