well no point continuing to talk as i can see you are narrow minded.

I understand what you are saying but its highly irrelevant when you got MUTING OPTIONS. > > If you cannot understand that then maybe you need to relook at yourself. Thats where you are wrong. Yes you have mute options. But that still means others will be more toxic. It DOESNT matter that you can mute the flamer, the flamer WILL be more toxic. Just because you can isolate the fire and make it harmless, it is not a good idea to pour fuel into it. Lets say that now, when a team is losing, there is a 50 procent of a time teammates are arguing and flaming and thus lose, and another 50 procent of a time they do their best, focus and eventualy make a comeback. With your system, 90 procent of the time players would give up and try to get their teammates to leave. Do you see where the problem is? Who cares if you can mute them, that does not mean its ok to flame, you are still spreading negativity and NOT PLAYING while you are typing. According to you flame is ok because you can mute it right?
No, what i am getting at is. There is a system already set in place where those who are abusive and negative in game. Yes you have the mute option so if you are struggling to deal with the flame, you can mute it and report it at the end. I get the abuse will be more vicious and I believe if you want to chat you should go to an RPG, league doesn't really need the chat as their ping system is good enough. but again if you cannot deal with it just mute it. When there are flamers and trollers in game and the team does ignore them, eventually they either play on or sit at nexus, lets say 8/10 times they play on and the other 2 times they'll just sit at nexus (these obviously aren't real stats but from what I've played this is generally the case win or lose). However, when a player rage quits there is a 1/10 chance of them coming back and when they do they are usually the ones who sit at the nexus (again not actual stats but from experience). this makes the game unfair and non-competitive as the odds are highly stacked on one side. Me personally, I'd rather have the mutable flamer and take my 8/10 chance in a 5v5 game, than have a 4v5 and leaving the game hugely one sided. I've been playing since season 1 so it's not some new guy waving in on something i have no clue about. this is why I believe forcing people to stay in game will help, as generally leaver will get bored of waiting for a new game and just play. the 8/10 may lower due to more people staying but at least there is still opportunity for a 5v5 game. I would never have suggested this in previous seasons as riot did not really have the system in place to deal with the flame and trolling, but now I believe they do and they can take it one step further by harshly punishing leavers and making them accountable for tipping the scales.

It wouldn't be too bad if it was once in a blue moon, but i've had 4 games in a row where someone has left, so i've lost 4 games where there was next to no chance of winning because of a leaver, i'd rather take my chances 5v5 with a troll than 4v5. how can you be more toxic?? Tell me. How often in a game do you see your teammates flaming eachother, annoying eachother, for the sole reason of making other ragequit? Or make you ragequit? Sure, it happens, sometimes, but not often, flame now happens mostly because idiocy and blame. If riot were to implement your system, people would start pushing eachother to ragequit as soon as they lost first blood ( to avoid losing lp). Its not hard to understand dude. Also the current system is fair. Yes, sometimes you lose lp when someone in your team leaves. But, you also gain free lp when someone in the enemy team leaves. It cancels out eachother. It might look like you get afk way more often than your enemy does, but that is not the case. It just looks like it, because you only remmember bad things, you dont care much when enemy leaves and you get free lp but when you lose lp because of a leaver, you are sure to remmember. As proof that leavers are more often an enemy than ally, in fact, think. You know for sure that no matter what (unless critical or not up to you), you are not going to be the leaver, right? Without you, that leaves 9 other players that can be leavers. 4 of those are allies. 5 of those are enemies. That means theres a 4/9 chance that your team will have a leaver and a 5/9 chance that enemy team will have a leaver. Which means, in a long run, if you are not leaving games, you get more free lp from enemy leavers than you lose from allied ones. Now if you still dont understand this after reading this, I have bad news for you.
Wow, if you're stupid enough to leave a game because of flame and spam then you shouldn't be on the internet. Riot have mute buttons, why is it hard to use that? if it there use it? otherwise whats the use in them? you have no argument here, if spam is all you have then it pathetic. I understand what you are saying but its highly irrelevant when you got MUTING OPTIONS. If you cannot understand that then maybe you need to relook at yourself.

Yes. Verbal, griefing, emote spam. All that. Doesnt matter that you can mute that, a system you propose would encourage players to be more toxic. That is what riot refuses to do ( even the season 2 riot said the same)
makes no sense, you have the ability to block out toxicity but worried you'd make more? i'd understand if there was no toxicity in the game and worried about creating it, but the game is already toxic, hence the mute buttons. how can you be more toxic? What's more annoying is people leaving and you lose LP because of it. It wouldn't be too bad if it was once in a blue moon, but i've had 4 games in a row where someone has left, so i've lost 4 games where there was next to no chance of winning because of a leaver, i'd rather take my chances 5v5 with a troll than 4v5.
: Trust me, the idea was suggested many many many times since season 1. Riot itself said that they will never implement this, because as the other guy said, when people start losing, they would start bullying someone out of the game to prevent losing lp. Riot said they will never implement a system that would promote toxity. As for lp gains and losses for leaving games, If a player leaves a game, does not matter if his team wins or not, he always recieves a loss.
bullying how? but verbal? pinging? emote spam? you can mute that. taking farm, harassing is a reportable offence, so the player could get penalised for doing such things. keeping players in game is a big factor as league has shown how even 1 team fight can change the outcome, but have 4v5 reduces that possibility. I can understand why they never implemented such things before as they never had the ability to reduce toxicity, but now they have ways to reduce toxic players impact.
: > If a person leaves and the team wins, that person shouldn't get LP as they were not contributes to that teams victory. They don't. This is actually a thing, this is how the system works. If you leave, and your team wins the game, you will not get free LP for it. > and I do not understand how people not losing LP messes up the table? About this. Imagine 2 challenger players, both 65% win-rate, both same MMR (gaining 18LP / losing 16LP), exactly the same LP (let's take 350LP) both. They share the 152nd and 153rd place on the challenger ladder, they are virtually the same in every aspect. Now : they both get into a game. They both get on the losing teams. Player A, that has an AFK in the team, will lose 0LP, while player B who lost a 5v5 game fair and square will lose 16LP. This 16 LP difference will mean a 10 place drop for player B, while player A will keep his 152nd place on the ladder. Player B will be on 163rd place. They both started Plat 1, both played 310 games with EQUAL win-rates, equal match numbers, equal number of games won and lost, and in the end, there will be a 10 place discrepancy between them, due to the "luck" of having an AFK player once. While it might not seem a "big deal" to allow someone not lose LP due to certain factors (we already have loss prevent system), it might greatly hurt the integrity of the top of the ladder. Hope I worded this in a clear and understandable way.
that's fair, but like I said im am only suggesting. There does need to be a system to keep players in game as the loss prevention is only applicable to those who leave at the start of the game, I've experienced a ton of leavers through different times within the game an not once was there ever a loss prevention or even a LP subsidise i.e. instead of losing 18LP lose only 8. and with the challenger reference, yes that guy may lose a place on the ladder, but the guy who left the game will lose far more, and in challenger i can guess losing lets say 90LP (18LPx5) is a massive drop and a good deterrent to not want to leave a game. you're looking at it short term, yes it may influence the leaderboard somewhat early stages, but when the leavers get dropped massively they soon will persist through all their game and the leaderboard will be stable again, and better yet may improve games as there will always be a 5v5 as people will not want to risk losing 90+ points by leaving.
: Don't get me wrong, ideas are always welcome, but you have to think them through, from the point of view of the people who will try to abuse the system. The basic idea of a competitive game, and the ladder is, if somebody wins another has to lose. You can't have a workaround. Touching the LP gains or losses of the players, is a no-go. You can suggest that players who influence the loss, get punished, and we do have a system for this. You can't save 4 people, on the other hand from losing LP, it would mess up the ladder. And about your attack on my person, with the "I'm the troll" bullshit, I wouldn't be 2200MMR 70% win-rate, if I was trolling. :)
I don't think you get it. I understand people lose games, and yes it can be due to a persons mistake why you lose, it happens i get that. But when a person deliberately LEAVES the game (not feeds and trolls in game, actually no longer in game) then that person should be punished, like u said it is competitive and because of that competitiveness everyone should at least see through the game win or lose. If a person leaves and the team wins, that person shouldn't get LP as they were not contributes to that teams victory. What i'm trying to get at here is making people stay in game, as eventually they will either troll and get banned or get back to playing the game. In either case, at least they are there and playing, and as we all know that in league, 1 team fight late game can change it all. and I do not understand how people not losing LP messes up the table?
: So if let's say I was losing a game, I could bully a single guy out of the game (following him around, taking every CS he'd want to farm), until he ragequits, so I get a free loss prevent? Hm, I like this. You have to make your system fail-proof, when it comes to things like this. Same as riot thought about the inability to increase honor by back and forth honoring between 2 premades. Gotta work out all the flaws, before you suggest something.
LOL are you serious? so i cannot suggest something to the community until I've worked it all out? I can be you are one of the trolls in game. It is a community where people put ideas out and work on them together, not one guy who puts rules in and says do as I say xD. My idea could inspire other things give people ideas they've not thought of and could possibly end up being some sort of system for trollers/leavers in game. This is one of the issues league faces as a whole, everyone thinks its every man for themselves, its not, its a team game where you work together to get objectives by playing each role. Those that are lacking in skill get helped by their team and made a better player, not trashed talked and trolled for being less skilled as. If you're a good player be humble and help those that are not, instead of flaming and trying to tear them down.
: So you would agree with a system, where on guy ragequits, and everyone else wins LP ( 9 people ) while that single guy loses the LP ?
what? no, never said 9 people should get LP, I said that the Rage quitter should get the Losing LP i.e. x5 -LP, and his team mates get 0 LP no winning no losing. They shouldnt have to suffer or gain anything. but the opposite team should get their LP
: What about when an enemy team member ragequits, and you take all the free LP ? You shouldn't be given charity LP either. It's funny how everyone looks at this from their perspective, after losing a game to a ragequitter. No1 seems to mind getting free wins...hm weird.
So you think that one player should be able to ruin everyone's game? It's not about getting the free LP it's about the troll getting punished and not punishing the players with that troll. I do not see why someone shouldn't get their LP regardless of it "Not being deserved", as those with the bonus LP makes no difference to the opposite team... so its not weird to complain about the free LP

: If you decide to splitpush one day, try the pushing Top, recalling, pushing Bot, recalling, farming mid as a team strategie if you ever need to extend the game. Practise it, do it fast and this can be really useful :P (Only if you need to extend the game cause your team are clowns to not lose yet) Sometimes extending the game at unecessary times could be bad. But in a bad situation it is good to do like the one I mentioned
So in other words I cannot main support? as it relys to heavily on my team and I need to make the difference i.e. making pressure etc. I've played with people the same elo and I know the difference between a gold 1 and a plat 5. It doesn't seem like a whole bunch but that plat 5 has a little bit more understanding than that gold 1 which changes the game completely. It's even more of a gap between silvers and gold 5 and plat 5. It sounds petty but it's killing me when I need to say every game use your wards or change your trinket. I just think if you're put into a rank, you should be paired with those closely ranked regardless of MMR. Like I've said if I shouldn't be in that rank due to my skill shouldn't I be demoted to a skill suited for me?
