I know it will have a slightly higher ping then usual but probably still better then 50+ :P Oh no, we have zero control over any routing really, without using third-party programs that is to say. We'll have to wait and see what Riot can do really. I did notice that they, in the past, recommended certain VPNs like WTFast and others so the routing will be smoother, but I will have to be honest there and say that WTFast and similar programs used to be notorious of their malicious behavior. So do some research prior to using those programs, all in all they're free to use and in the Netherlands the saying is "er schuilt een addertje onder het gras". With that said, might be our best bet for a while. Until Riot Games of course responds and fixes this horrendous routing. They mentioned the following Free-to-use VPNs: Hot Spot Shield UltraSurf CyberGhost WTFast I am not hellbent on playing right now, exams are very close! But in anyway, I do wish you the best at finding an alternative routing for the time being. EDIT: To bring it back to you, I quickly installed WTFast and the newer routing gave back 28 ms. It's an improvement for sure but honestly, KPN and that datacenter... it's got problems, mad problems. I am curious to where they stem from, but we can only wait for the details to see the light of day!
Holy crap what a difference! I quickly did some research and all the reddit posts i saw said WTFast was pretty safe to use, my ping dropped back to 13!! I really hope its safe tho haha, dont want my accounts to be lost :'). Hopefully the issue is gonna be fixed before 30 days, thats when the trial runs out :D.

I was hoping waking up to this bright day would eliviate the heavy data because people would be outside enjoying the day whilst im grinding my ass off! Sadly the ping is still higher then usual :'). U said u installed WTFast, no experience of any malicious mallware in that program? If u recommend it i think im gonna try it out just untill the problem is fixed.
: Same here, pretty much ran some WinTRMs and it shows that the connection between KPN and ix-nl.net's datacenters in Frankfurt are having a nasty problem. I believe there were problems like these in the past aswell. Some person talking about routing problems which do seem identical to the current problem (link: https://boards.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/help-support-en/npwHbX2H-everyone-who-has-kpn-as-provider-high-ms-ping-issues-in-the-evening-read-this?show=new). I saw a forum post of someone having the same problem (link: https://forum.kpn.com/stel-je-vraag-2/league-of-legends-472039#post754771). I doubt they'll answer soon but it's most definitely something we simpletons can't fix. Let's hope Riot can do something about this.
Is there any way for us to select Amsterdam as our routing instead? I know it will have a slightly higher ping then usual but probably still better then 50+ :P
: Was hoping someone from riot would respond but it seems like they dont care
Any chance ur located somewhere in the eastern part of The Netherlands, if so the problem is probably very local, hopefully it will be fixed soon. I am located in Overijssel. A friend of mine from western bit of the Netherlands is not having any issues.
: Look at the imgur link, It is one of their NL-IX Data Centers that seems to be not working properly, and also the same thing always 15-20 and now 49-52
Did u find out anything as to why or how this is fixable?

Yep no clue how to fix stuff like that tho :')
: KPN Latency 50+ EUW
+++ Bump, i have exactly the same. always play with 15-20 ping but now im on a constant 52 ping, very stable but just weird to see it went up 30 without any reason. I closed everything 3rd party and tried to reset router etc. Nothing really helped, its also only in league, other games seem to work fine.
