: those two are tied on my smurfs I would get matched vs platinums and diamond fairly quickly on the way up to level 30 and then placed into plat 5 gold 1 on fresh accounts.I didnt mean to offend you but they have ways to prevent lucky streaks from unjustly putting players at high leagues one of which is the normal mmr. Its not needed but it definitely has a positive effect on your rank if its decently high

Ah I see, so your main is diamond elo I guess? Thanks for the info tho, I don't think it's right to tie them together, normals I try new things, I don't want to have to try hard them :L

: I think you were never supposed to play with platinums and d5 (which is hardly diamond ) seeing as youre unranked so the changes made it so got matched with silvers in your last game and ultimately placed into Bronze. Otherwise lower elo players who never played ranked might get lucky streaks which send them to too high an elo so unless your normal mmr is high and you win 10 0 you will get placed low.Most of the games vs high elo you got carried or lost and as you can see your normal mmr is silver-bronze so thats why.

Ok so, since you looked at my history, I think the placements were correct in matching me in games with higher elo as the first couple of ranked games I played were with bronze or silver, then golds and eventually platinums, although I'm not sure where you think I was getting carried, unless you are talking about the 3 lost games which 2 of which were due to an afk Cass and afk ezreal, the third I just played terribly 2-12! But hey we all have those games. Ofc this is not my first account but did you referred my normal game mmr to my ranked? I'm not sure if riot tie the two together but that's a bad way of doing things imo. Ive been playing with my friends who are new to league and its hard to win most games with them, meaning my normal mmr is silver I think. Even so neither explain why I have been dropped to bronze, if 10/10 placed you in gold, why 10/11 places you in bronze and not even silver?!
: I do have to add though that you climb really fast. I just skipped silver 3 and just jumped to silver 1. ofc playing against diamonds like you can see in the screenshot I posted earlier - http://prnt.sc/d7r2xi . So guys dont worry. Silver is the new platinum atm. :D

Silver is the new platinum atm. :D at least this is some good news, don't even know if I will bother playing flex and just wait for the season to start to play solo q, imo tho, I think riot really did mess up here..

: Its ridiculous, ive been farming past weekend to get higher, then suddenly this extra placement game comes up, I end up losing it and I dropped down again to where I started. BYE BYE weekend! Not pleased at all
exact same with me man, Did not expect after successfully grinding placements all weekend to be ranked and then 'appropriately' de-ranked 2 divisions lower. {{summoner:3}}

: OH FOR F'S SAKE RIOT SAID A MILLION TIMES *"YOU WILL ALWAYS GET A LOWER RANK THAN YOUR PREVIOUS ONE"* you should be thankful you didn't go down 7 fucking divisions like I did last seasons when going 6/4 in placements
I am aware Riot said this but my point is from winning 10 placements against high elo to bronze 2? There is something very wrong there. Anyways chill man lol
LA Losty (EUW)
: Your performance in the game doesnt matter. Also since everyone had messed up mmr thats why you faced those players. Tbh noone really takes flex queue seriously, its simply not competitive with how messed up it is.
ah, thanks for this explanation, although even so... I won 10/11 placements so why bronze 2. For winning so many i wouldve expected the lowest rank to be Silver 5 (and the one I lost was due to an afk! {{item:3070}} )
