Why isn't this strategy working in LoL then? A lot of melee champions are made for teamfights. And don't forget that balance and reworks still have to be done specifically for this mode.

That is a nice idea: make games end at a certain amount of time. So players know that it won't last longer than X minutes.
: Problems: 1.) early/late scaling champions 2.) itemdependant champions came to my mind directly. if u wanna balance these, you'd need to tweak so much champions, making it a whole different game.. and puns of work. I like the idea behind it, but it is how it is.
You're right and that's what I tried to explain : champions have to be tweaked and balanced for this Arena mode that is more like a real new different game. I agree, it's a lot of work, but maybe it's possible to begin with 10 champions and release the game. And then, like LoL, bring a new one every month for instance!
: I Disagree, it would give players a wrong interpretation of skillful play. The skill in this game is not getting a penta kill, the skill comes from being in the right place at the right time for a penta kill, with the right predictions, the right decisions, and the right build/preparation. I would not like people coming from Arena mode into my ranked games not caring about winning because they got a sweet KDA.
I totally agree with you because what you define as skill is a great part of the skill required for League of Legends. And it is very important to make sure that players understand that this Arena mode is a new game, it is not like LoL.
: It would be cool to train for teamfights. For example I sometimes get lost in the havoc of a teamfight and end up focusing the wrong champions or missing some spells etc. With a game mode that focuses solely on fighting this way I could improve my skills. I like it!
Indeed, that could be added in the benefits' list!
