: Any Tips to improve on editing ?
There's a huge jump in the volume at 0:15 and 0:16 seconds into the video. I'm not a fan of the shutter effect at 0:40 seconds into the video, might even trigger epilepsy for some people. Same goes for 1:20 to 1:25 when you use the same effect. It feels like there is some vertical movement during the transition around 1:29 that makes it jarring. It could simply be that the slide off screen is slowing down, but it almost feels like the video starts to lag. It needs more adlibs to make the video less moody and more hilarious. It feels quite emotionless and raw at the moment, it needs a personality and a reason to exist.

I would suggest that you consider the following statements: 1. Improvement of yourself is not measured against others, ranked is just a reflection of your personal journey to improve. 2. Being good at the game does not guarantee you will climb, but rather, how well you can carry does. 3. It's not just what you do, but when you do it that matters. 4. There are so many variables to League of Legends, there's always **something** you could have done better. So, for example, I can see that you do sometimes buy control wards (not always). The first step would be to make sure that you buy at least 1 control ward every single game. The second step is to recognise that even when you do buy control wards, you're often not buying them until around 15 - 20 minutes into the game. That's around 50 - 66% of your game times without control wards. The number of wards that you're placing is far below what it should be given your roles. With every champion, you get a free warding totem at level 1, and then the longest possible wait time is 240 seconds for your next charge. If your game lasted 35 minutes (fairly standard), then you should have been able to place at least 1 + (35/5) wards = 8 wards in total. However, since the charge goes down as you level up, you should really be able to place at least 10 wards for free each game. However, you're placing around 6 - 7 per game, including a control ward. So you're not getting as much use out of your vision as you could be. Why is this important? If we go back to our point that Ranked is not just how good you are, but how well you can carry - it's a lot easier to carry when you: 1. Create vision to make decisions. 2. Remove vision to force bad decisions. So while I'm not going to say that you'll suddenly win loads of games by improving your warding behaviour - it's definitely something that I can see you need to improve without playing any games. Other things to consider are how to shut down the enemy jungler. If this role has the most agency to ruin your day, then tripping him up and making his life harder than necessary will surely reduce his agency and therefore improve your chances to carry.

: Is there any Reform Program in Riot company?
Honestly, I think that the biggest thing to ask yourself is whether you're even qualified, required, or prepared to be a person that helps others change their behaviour. Chances are that you're young, unqualified, unprepared and not actually interested in helping other people to improve their behaviour. In which case, why comment on their negative behaviour? If you're not finding the game fun specifically because of them, maybe ask whether League of Legends is a game that you really want to play? If you don't feel any pressure to help people it should be easy to just play and enjoy the game.

: New Kayle
I really like the looks of the new kayle, and her kit looks way nicer than it did before. I also agree with our companion swampert919, that we should probably wait to see the kit before judgement. It looks aesthetically similar, but I'm pretty sure it functions very different from the looks of it.

: New to this game, got camped by smurfs and got reported by my smuf team, now banned
I wish I could go 8/3/11 on Lee Sin in the Jungle, and I've been playing for years. I'm glad that a level 15 can walk top and get a kill at 3 minutes, then just roam down to mid and get another kill at 4 minutes. Seems suspicious :p

: could any high elo player look over my lost games?
An obvious thing that stands out to me is that you're not buying enough control wards each game or getting a blue trinket. If you're split pushing, then you're going to need a little vision on your flanks to cover yourself. If you take a look at probuilds.net you will see many of them have around 4 - 5 control wards per game. This differs from your 0 - 1 control wards per game.

He's pretty weak right now, I ban him just so I don't get him on my team.

I'm personally glad you received a ban. Reading this chat is not the type of behaviour that I want in my games. It shows me that Riot is making the right decisions and I think you're getting some valuable feedback from other members of the community in this thread.

I'm just surprised their team didn't spot this and think "huh, maybe this looks really freakin' weird?" It's kinda gross and freaks me out, if I'm going to be honest.

: WTF Has This Game Become?
Can't say that I agree with every point, but definitely a strong sense of discomfort with this patch. It seems every game is a snowball, and if you're not on inhibitors by 15 minutes, that's a rarity. Kinda bored by this meta, considering dropping out for a few patches and hopefully return once things are rebalanced.
: BOTLANE WINS? YOU WIN! BOTLANE LOSES YOU LOSE THE WHOLE GAME (BALANCE YOUR GAME)
Getting higher in ranked is not about getting better at league, it's about learning to carry. This doesn't mean you need to get mechanically better, you just need to figure out how to make a big advantage. If you have identified that bot lane winning is how you win the game - snowball it. Get down there and gank the bottom lane over, and over, and over again. Then when crush them non-stop and you'll win. If you're a good jungler, you should be able to do that?
: Why am i being force spammed these nonsense emotes?
I actually love the minions getting involved, I think it's really funny. The first time I saw a blue buff say "GL HF" I nearly lost my mind with laughter. Then when my ADC got a double kill and died, the enemy minions threw a thumbs up. That was far too funny, because it really gives the minions some character. I think it's really great. My main hope is that this isn't temporary.
: I like playing support, but hate it cos I rarely get to impact games unless my ADC gets fed. You're not a support for the whole team, just the ADC (coming from low elo here) and if you get unlucky in lane, you're screwed.

You're not a support for the whole team, just the ADC (coming from low elo here) and if you get unlucky in lane, you're screwed. I'm unranked because I just personally prefer this. But I went for Gold last one or two seasons just for the free rewards. With that said, I would start thinking about yourself as supporting the team, not the ADC. It's important to help your marksman in lane, but once they have a couple items then they have a fair bit of agency themselves. So learning to gank lanes appropriately is going to help you have a bigger impact on the game as support. I've had a LOT of kills from Level 3 ganks with Soraka. Normally if you get a double kill bottom lane, you can roam middle and they won't expect you. If you're fairly low health, depending on the minion wave bottom you can do a lane gank. This will mean you need to ping for the person to engage or bait, knowing that you're going to be there for the clutch save. The core things to look out for are how safe it will be for you to make the roam through the river. Whether that's after a double kill bottom moving to the middle, or after a recall and heading through lane. You will need to consider which buff the jungler started at. I normally look out for a top lane gank to see if you're going to be safe. Be prepared to also run from bottom to middle a lot if you're playing forwards. It means that if your mid laner is being ganked, they know they are safe. I've saved far too many lives just by roaming from bottom to middle. These types of movements help to keep multiple carries alive. You just have to start thinking about the bottom river as being your responsibility to protect.
: I like playing {{champion:10}} I can heal (W), I can Slow/dmg the enemy (Q), make short work of minions when necessary (E) and my ult can make a champ invulnerable to dmg for a short period of time. Currently in draft I'm primary JGL and secondary Support.

Yeah, I love Kayle as a support. I find that items aren't really in her favor within the support role. It's one champion I wish Riot would balance towards the support role instead of top lane split pusher.
: Pretty much 50% of my friends play support, inculding me once. No more doe. I had to many friends who wanted support so I had to move to top to get some better enjoyable games :)

No more doe. I had to many friends who wanted support so I had to move to top to get some better enjoyable games :) Yeah, I sometimes find that fighting for Support is vicious. Most support mains don't get too much practice on solo lane champions or farming. Learning to play mage from ADC probably isn't as difficult. I found that something that helped me grow was realising that whilst my ADC needs to farm - we need to get as much gold as possible. If I see a minion that my carry will miss, I try to collect it for myself. That way it's not going to waste. This helped me to get a little better at last hitting, and so I can actually play solo lanes in my ELO, normally down by like 10 - 20cs.

: I just dont like the role because i want to kill people instead of giving my team the fame. Unless you make plays the entire game and go something like 3/1/21 you dont really get any honors other than your adc, idk i dont play support that much.
> [{quoted}](name=Sadolm,realm=EUW,application-id=39gqIYVI,discussion-id=PfnIe87g,comment-id=0008,timestamp=2018-02-18T20:55:48.061+0000) > > I just dont like the role because i want to kill people instead of giving my team the fame. > > Unless you make plays the entire game and go something like 3/1/21 you dont really get any honors other than your adc, idk i dont play support that much. I find that if you play Soraka, you get honors quite a lot. I often heal significantly more health than any carries do damage. The other one that I find a lot of honors with, is Zilean. It tends to be when you save people's lives they love you a lot. That's why I think champions that are engage focused don't get as many honors. Unless you play blitzcrank and land 100% hooks - it's never noticed. I also just happen to prefer defensive supports over engage. Mostly just because over time I realized that my decision making as a tank wasn't as good as for ranged supports. I get my best results with champions like Morgana, Zilean, Soraka, Janna and Lulu.

: >I highly doubt anybody at Riot Games will provide data - but it would be cool to see what percentage of the population queue for support primary. There was post several days ago that contained role popularity over time. At least some data. https://imgur.com/k0qmr7l Utility = Support As for me, I think support is the best role in the game. It's like being a teacher. You should support your teammates' decisions, you can move your team as conductor because you have more time to look at everything while others are farming. Also like with the teachers, there are bad supports and those who light the hearts of every teammate. If there was a way to share my willing to win, my team would never lose because in ranked games I'm charged for 500% desire to win.
Wow, thanks for sending that over. Really interesting to see that support is more popular in high MMR than low MMR. I guess that's because of faster queue times?
: Do you like Supports?
Wow, some great responses so far! What type of stuff do you guys enjoy about supporting? I'm a Soraka main and I love that I need to constantly work on positioning in teamfights. Being in the right spot so that I can heal without being engaged is really fun for me. I also play without boots, because her passive gives tons of movement speed in teamfights. The extra 10 - 20% heal and shield power from an extra item is really powerful. What are the champions you support mains enjoy most?

: So what are your thoughts about kindred?
As a champion, I like the fact Riot are placing Marksman in the jungle. This follows a recent trend of moving champions out of their normal roles, which I really appreciate. I would say that my major criticism is that the reverberation they used on the VO lines for Kindred have got enormous early reflections / delay on them which I find really uneasy. Doesn't sound very ghastly or haunting, just sounds like a really poorly constructed preset. I would prefer something a little more subtle, perhaps dampen the high frequencies if you're looking to create space but please lower the early reflections.
